We had an amazing time in Ubud, chilling and playing cards around the pool, just by the Monkey forest entry. The staff is nice and we enjoyed renting scooters from the front desk, to go visit Bali and the rice terrasses. :) I recommend this hotel !

Get up early to enjoy the monkey invasion!!!! As the sun is rising, the monkeys enter the compound - likely before they get offered their sweet potatoes in the park. Grounds were well kept and the room was clean (did not smell as alleged herein). The rooms are fairly simple and the bed was comfortable. They serve breakfast - eggs...

Great location for Monkey Forest but that was about it. Waited for 15 minutes for someone to finally show up & check us into a very run down room that needs some serious attention. Had to ask for towels, toilet paper, soap & ashtray. WOW! Breakfast included that doesn't do much for the taste buds. Good luck………& watch out for...

One of the worst place I've been in my whole life. Dirty and smelly room, monkeys everywhere (even attacking you in your own balcony), broken and dirty bed (almost falling apart), old furniture, dirty walls, cold shower, ants everywhere. The room on the first floor near the road is really noisy and so smelly. Terrible breakfast and not attentive staff!...

I read some reviews on this place and was a little sceptical about booking but decided to book 2 nights as price was so cheap - ended up staying 5 nights as we loved it so much! Rooms are basic but clean, location is perfect (although right next door to the monkey forest so you do get some monkey visitors...

arrived from Kuta at 12pm with a friend with no idea where we were staying but had decided to stay somewhere with a pool. As we got off the bus we were hounded with the usual offers and actually listened when the word 'pool' came up. If I had read the reviews beforehand I wouldn't have given it a chance...

I stayed at Permai Bungalow for two nights and it was horrible. I moved room twice cause there was mould in the rooms. I litterally couldn't breathe in one of the rooms. For breakfast there was pancakes and i had ants in mine! - so did my friends. Never coming back to that place.

I'll start with the pros as there weren't many *good central location *pretty gardens and pool *cheap However, I would not stay here ever again. Our room had no running water or electricity and very patchy WiFi. To the staffs credit, they did try to move us to another room, however the door was pretty make shift and would not...
