Overall a comfortable few nights but a few problems within the 5 days. 1) Room Was not cleaned properly-dirty cups and milk left for 5 days. 2)paid for 3 sleeper and the 3rd person got a mattress on the floor. Not okay if one is paying for an extra person. 3)early check out with no help offered for bags, after phoning reception. We were informed we could get a packed up breakfast at 5am and then told not available.
There's no other place than Taman Harum Cottages for me. This is where I want to stay every time I head to Bali. Lovely rooms/villas, beautiful staff, great breakfast, and lunch and dinner if you want. Great taxi service to and from Ubud centre. Lots of wood art galleries nearby and some more small warungs. A pool and a lovely green and luchy surrounding.
A little bit isolated from other places. Poor breakfast, had to choose from menus, and no flexible choices. Nice and big rooms. Some small lizzards and ants in the bathroom. Very friendly staff. Very good spa and pool.
I booked a week in Cottage #204 and I am so glad that I chose this beautiful place. It exceeded my expectations and I look forward to returning in 2020. It was quiet, serene, spotless, safe, secure and away from the traffic and craziness of downtown Ubud. The property is in front of a rice paddy/farm and I loved hearing a rooster in the AM. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and cold from great a/c. It had a small living area, fridge, tea kettle, bottled water, garden bath (loved the open air tub), King Bed in a separate area that was heavenly, high grade linens, etc., everything that I needed or wanted. Also, blackout curtains and lots of privacy. Breakfast was included and I was served in an open air pavilion by a great serving staff. The selections were superb and plentiful. I was especially fond of the fresh pressed juices and traditional rice congee dish for breakfast. There are plenty of American/European choices and the servings are huge. The Chef was amazing. The property has a beautiful, elevated pool and open air library with lots of books and fountains to pass the time away. A full service spa and restaurant are on the property and you could easily stay here and never want to leave. The management, staff, housekeepers and gardeners work very hard to make it the perfect escape. The main restaurant, Warung Thor, was far better than anything in downtown Ubud and was half the price of the tourist traps. I loved everything that they offered and was impressed with the thoughtfully designed menu. They also had light snacks, gourmet coffees and gelatos. Their flagship dish is the “crispy duck” and a must do when you are there. A full bar menu is offered along with a complete selection of non alcoholic beverages. If you want pizza, they will make it any way that you like it and they utilize a wood burning oven. If you wish to go into town, the desk offers a free shuttle service into downtown Ubud and they will pick you up at pre set times. I went into town once and that was enough for me. I wanted to return to my location where the food and ambience was better and I did not have to put up with too many tourists. I might add that there are many things within walking distance of the hotel. A very cheap, same day laundry did a week’s worth of my clothing for about $1.25@ USD. They are to the right when you exit the hotel and just beyond, across the street, is a very chic’, trendy, upscale art gallery with a full service cafe’ and free WiFi. I loved going there for coffee and tea. The art work was stunning in this place. Their menu was outstanding and presentations were incredible. I had a salad on one visit that was in the 5 star category and the price was very reasonable. To the left of the hotel are lots of small convenience stores where you can pick up some great deals on snacks and drinks. ATM’s are plentiful. I purchased some great instant coffee gifts and candy to bring home. There is a large hospital to the left of the hotel and many cheap, family run Warung establishments adjoining that property. You can eat for less than $1 USD in most of these places. You cannot do better than Taman Harum and their pricing is beyond competitive for Ubud. Once you are shopped out and had enough of traffic and tourists (one day in downtown Ubud for me), you will just want to stay in the compound and never leave. Their management is second to none and I so look forward to returning each year. They treat you like family. 5 stars. …
very cool place, awesome restaraunt. great service and breakfast. really nice place in Ubud. Unlike any hotel i have stayed in. I only stayed 3 nights but felt like i could easily stay a month and not get bored.
We stayed here for 3 nights in suite room nos 200 room was huge with sit out area in front and backyard overlooking the rice fields; kitchenette, lovely bath tub, private entrance to the beautiful swimming pool. It has a beautiful entrance with lovely fountains, plants, flowers and the place is so calm quite and serene. Also they have free shuttle services to market area every one hour. Best part is staff is so cordial, humble and very helpful. Kudos to you guys keep up the good work. I will surely come here again to stay. Thank you tamam harum to make our stay so pleasant.
We stayed for 3 nights in premium room on ground floor 209 .very big room very clean. Bathroom was big clean. Food room service was very good. Very nice fixed breakfast. Full of green plants all over the property. Very cheap booked through Agoda .5 km from Ubud market. Free shuttle service from hotel to market.
It was very wonderful! I had relax in this hotel. I recommended this hotel everybody how was in Ubud. Many interesting places are near this hotel. You can go to monkey forest or waterfall and temple!!!
We were very fortunate to start our holiday in Mas, Bali at Taman Harum Cottages and Spa. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, air conditioned, spotless and beautifully decorated. We both had a wonderful massage at Harum and enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Ubud, which offers the Monkey Forest, Palace, temples, restaurants and shopping is only 20 minutes away from Harum and the hotel offers a free shuttle every hour. The atmosphere at Harum Cottages is so serene and calm. So much so that after a month in Bali, we have decided to travel from the north of Bali to spend our last two nights at Harum before we have to fly home to Canada. Rather than staying in busy Ubud, I would highly recommend staying at Harum Cottages.
Clean and tidy place with air-conditioned rooms. Good breakfasts (6 kinds), but not much diversified. Swimming pool with places to lay. Free hotel bus to the city. support nice and helpful. unfortunately, poor wi-fi signal. I recommend it for this price. There is nothing to do in that area - 10 to 15 min by bus to Ubud.
