The resort's compound of 58 luxurious villas is a resemblance of an enchanting Balinese village. Individually designed with thatched roof, each villa features a spacious bedroom complete with modern amenities and outdoor showers. For the ultimate in privacy, some villas have their own private swimming pools. We just had 4 nights at Kamandalu and it’s been incredible. The setting and the grounds are world class and our room (valley pool villa room) was truly amazing. The island has been all but shuttered for the past 2 years and it’s lovely to see it blossoming again. The staff here are worthily of any hotel we have stayed. Always smiling and helpful. We had a wonderful massage in the forest spa, did the glory morning walk and a paddy trek and the ADV adventure. The only thing that doesn’t quite add up is it’s price, it’s such great value! You are spoilt for choice when considering which hotel to choose in Ubud, but if you’re thinking about going, add this place to your shortlist.

The resort offers wide range of experiences such as picnic on a boat in their private lagoon, romantic dinner setups with an amazing jungle overview and incredible massage therapies at their forest spa next to the iconic Kamandalu forest swing. Truly recommend this place if you would like to experience that magical Ubud vibe, sense of tranquility and remoteness in a rainforest.

Our stay and experience at Kamandalu was a dream come true. We have longed over famous Insta worthy snaps of this iconic resort perched a loft the Ubud rainforest and rice paddies for years now, and it was everything we could have hoped for. A warm welcome to the grand lobby set the tone throughout our stay. Fixtures and fittings of this world class resort are luxurious and Palace like. We stayed in the Valley view private pool villa which we loved. The infinity pool view over the rainforest, light, airy and spacious bathroom as well as the raised, four poster bed was fit for a king and queen. A highlight of our stay included floating breakfast at Villa Rama with endless views of the jungle and a diverse and delicious range of breakfast foods. We also loved our romantic flower bath with decedent delights such as camambert cheese and grapes, chocolate covered strawberries and chicken and fish canapés. A perfect start to our romantic evening enjoying a 3 course dinner and drinks on the lawns of the grounds. The lighting, food and service first class. We also enjoyed a lunch on the lazy river and particularly enjoyed feeding the fish for lunch too! Enjoying the scenery and Flora and forna throughout the grounds. When decided to stay for several day in Ubud, we chose Kamandalu. The staffs were so kind and helpful; service was excellent. They served us with a love-shaped cake and afternoon tea. We love the taste of the food, it was really good, makes you want to order more. Also, the safety protocols were strict. For those who are looking for a private villa with excellent service, do choose Kamandalu.

Refused to refund me my money when I could not make it to reservation. Keep in mind, Bali’s borders are still closed. Staff kept on offering credit for future stays that can be up to 2 years... why would I want credit? Not even sure if this establishment will stay open in the next 6 months since tourist can’t even enter their country... all I wanted was my money back! Never refunded me! Horrible business

It is a dream tropical hotel just a ten-minute drive from the center of Ubud. I loved the floating breakfast (one of the best I had in Bali so far!!) the villas are very spacious and with a gorgeous pool overlooking the ricefield. I also tried the romantic dinner.... it was seriously my dream come true! Don't miss the message with the iconic swing ;) The team is extremely kind and with a very attention to the details and they helped us to choose all the experiences we wanted to try at Kamandalu. It is strongly recommended !!

Kamandalu is one of the best place in Bali for having romantic dinner, the staff (Agus) was very kind and really helpful and very warm welcome, he's even always use his heart to help as at any time during the dinner i was going around the asia pacific, but I've never felt and see staff working with their heart, thank you so much Agus! the food was amazing and i still remember the tasty of the food i wish i could back here before i leave Bali beautiful Villa with perfect staff who's handle guest with their hearts thank you and will be back for sure!

Kamandalau is one of suitable in Ubud, Bali. Its a good place for family, couple or even mini conference. You will experience beautiful nature view. Walking on the rice field in the morning or afternoon. Their staff are very nice and friendly. You will enjoy your stay in Kamandalu Their food are delicious and nice cakes for your tea time. If you have planned to go vacation to Indonesia specially Bali, Kamandalu will be one of the recommended place to stay.
