I think what makes this place special is although its near a main street in Ubud with many great shops and restaurants near by, once your inside the villa you are in your own world, and you are away from all the noise of the busy streets. The staff at the front are always nice and helpful. Dayu was the person that helped me the most during my week here, she is always willing to help with directions, culture understanding, and helped me print proper documents to return to the USA, I highly recommend this place, the Villa like many places in Bali are not fully reopened, but with time this place will continue to show how great it is for guests to stay during there time in Bali
A very quiet place. Every building is separated and it feels like a king living. The staff is friendly and nice. Walking distance to the river and famous walk. I did not know it can feel so calm in the city center.
The hotel is very unique and quiet for its location, it’s in Ubud, just about 10 min walk to where everything is. Very beautiful environment, has a strong South East Asian vibe. The mountain view is gorgeous. Excellente service, breakfast in my opinion is good, but not great. Hope to return one day!
our stay here was absolutely fabolous. We felt like in a magical story. It definately worth it!All is selected with good taste and made us feel like nowhere else, unique and memorable for a lifetime. It definately worth staying here at least for a few nights!
This is a lovely traditional Balinese resort with a British overlay (not surprising since it's owned by a British company). The villas are spaced out throughout a lush property so that each one feels very private. It was low capacity while we were there (March 2020) so that added to the feeling of privacy. We stayed in an Ibah suite which was huge and well appointed. Beautiful large verandah overlooking the valley and across from the well-travelled Campuhan Ridge Walk which begins near the entrance to the resort. We had a full hot breakfast delivered to our room every morning just to enjoy the view. The staff at the resort are fabulous - they greeted us by name and were extremely helpful. The traditional Balinese dinner and dance performance was surprisingly good (we don't usually go in for that sort of thing). However the food served was abundant, great variety and delicious. The starting ceremony was interesting and the dancers were very professional and charming. It was a fun evening. The resort is in a great location - walking distance into the main part of Ubud but there is a shuttle always available to take you as well. Being close is good as the traffic into/out of town can be standstill at times. However, once you are at the resort, the town seems miles away. There are also some very good restaurants within a 5 minute walk - Bridges (lovely setting, great food and live music in the lounge) and Zest (vegetarian restaurant that carnivores can love) are both highly recommended. Also, the pool area is lovely but not close to the villas (which is great if you don't want the noise of people using the pool) but I wouldn't suggest this place if you are looking for a poolside suite (although I think they may have 1 or 2 suites with private pools?). The only negative I have for the management is to move away from single-use plastic water bottles toward something more sustainable. We found many examples at other hotels in Bali which has a huge waste-management problem.…
