Initially we were very impressed with the gardens and pool and the temple like bungalow we were staying in. However the manager, Wayan, was surprised to see us and admitted he had forgotten our booking. Toilet roll was not replaced and the sheets smelt unbearably of damp and the room was basic and grubby. The worst feature was the bathroom...

Returning to Wahyu Bungalows Ubud in two weeks. (Mid Feb 2016) Just like our 2014 trip we (retired females) will stay there for a month. The best features of Wahyu is the privacy off the rooms, located with a pool , situated behind the restrarant, with easy walking to the street, the enjoyable evening nights sitting high on the balcony...

~ Good points: Location (close from city center) ; Nice garden and swimmingpool, nice looking bungalows. Breakfast service was okey. Price. ~ Drawbacks: huge leak under the sink in the bathroom (water just flawed right onto the floor) ; Permanent stinking odor coming from the bathroom. Area was noisy (school and building works starting around 7:30am). One person from the...

The only good point is the location! Room was ok but bathroom smelled like sewers and as the bathroom was not fully closed (no"roof") the smell was everywhere!!! Also the sink was broken, The water was going directly on the floor! What was the most annoying was when we refused to book a cooking class through the manager as we...

The room was huge, super comfy beds, big bathroom with shower and bath. Beautiful pool, great restaurant. Wayan was the best host. Literally couldn't ask for more. Our stay was amazing. Wayan sorted great deals for us and a driver to take us wherever we wanted. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I returned to Ubud. Perfect location just off the...

Wahyu was a decent place to stay for the price. Nice size room with mosquito net, the bathroom was a bit worn and had a few ants and a cockroach, but that didn't bother me as I've experienced these bug issues at several hotels in Bali. Pleasant surroundings (there was building work being done when I was there but it...

While we were there, myself and my partner were very ill. The owner and one of his colleagues, even though they had other things to be doing, drove us to the clinic so that we could see a doctor and picked us up after our appointment. My partner then left valuables in the bungalow when we left, and the owners...

The hotel is in the mid way of the monkey forest and the palace, and very close to the market. So it's very easy walk to the main touristic points. The garden of the hotel is very nice, also the pool. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. However, they should improve the rooms cleaning. Also our bathroom was weird, it...

We intended to stay there for 2 nights but we left after the first one. We had a room downstairs. It is was really dirty, huge spider webs everywhere, hundred of ants in the bathroom, the wood of the cupboard was completely rotten and inside was about 3cm of dust. The breakfast was very basic with powder milk (we had...

We wished we could've stayed here longer!! Wayan, at the front desk, is lovely and will help you out regardless of what you want to do or where you want to go! He got us very cheap tickets for return transport to Gili Trawangan, even for our friend who wasn't staying there! The food in the restaurant is awesome and...

“Ask to see the room first if possible and decide if you can handle the noise most likely to affect the location of that room - ie front rooms get the noisy children early in the morning (not entirely unpleasant) and back rooms get the nightclub bands, Be prepared to ask for what you need.”
