We stood in awe as we watched Yande open the doors to this secret Balinese oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle that was just outside. Our room had a great verrandah overlooking the family's temple, calming fountains and well manicured gardens. What made this experience most enjoyable was the warm welcome we felt from the family. A young...

After staying in another guesthouse on Jalan Hanoman and not being able to shower because of the amount of dirt in the bath tub, this place was a life saver! Our room was really clean, had a hot shower, fan and loads of room. There were no bugs and we had a lovely terrace with a view over the rice...

We had a great week at Ubud thanks to Brata1 Home Stay. I had been in touch for a few months on facebook, and pre-booked our week's accommodation, so it was easy. The homestay arranged for an Ubud taxi to pick us up at the airport and take us straight to Ubud, even though we arrived late in the evening....

Brata 1 is a serene and graceful place to stay in Ubud. It is set in a family compound of a Padang Tegal intellectual family. It lies in a superb location with lovely garden and art works.

Clean and quiet but i left with an unpleasant feeling because of several incidents which showed me that they just try to sqeeze money out of you and friendlyness is just related to money. Greedy i would say and i just dont like getting that energy from people. The family is cold and doesnt want to get in touch with...

Dear Customer. I don't want to write a response to your review firstly but some of our guests in my accommodation told me to do so because it's an unbalance review in their perspective. Let's make it's clear. First of all, about the healer, we (Brata 1 Homestay) believe you're lucky if the healer (Ketut Lyyer) just charged you with...

My friend and I stumbled upon this place after the guesthouse we had pre-booked didn't have the twin beds like it said it would. We're so glad we did. Breakfast was good, the room was a good size and it's in a great location. My bed had a few ants on it the first two nights but they didn't bother...

Brata is a really nice place to stay! The staff is very friendly and after a while it feels like they are your family. And they love to help you. The rooms are clean and nice with hot water. It's also free wifi and they have free breakfast! If you go to Ubud I really recommend this place.

“There are only 5 rooms in Brata 1 Homestay, so reserve as early as possible to avoid disappointment. 3 out of the 5 rooms are on upstairs (1st floor) with nice view balcony to see over some paddy / rice fields and also the rooftop of the other buildings in Hanoman street. *Roofs of Ubud villages that consists of only short houses and temples make a beautiful scenery too. 2 other rooms are on the ground floor which you will have a open are in front of your room for catching up with the owner's family, dogs and also other tourist that by pass your room. The open area is more than sufficient for you to practise yoga, meditation and do nothing there.”
