This hotel is bang smack in the centre of Ubud. It is surrounded by shops, restaurants and massage shops. You do not need any transport at all to access Ubud centre. The market is a 5 min walk, monkey forest 3 mins. The hotel has a small frontage on Monkey Forest Road but don’t be deceived, the hotel goes a long way back and incorporates beautiful gardens and a refreshing sparkling clean pool. As it was quiet we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Pavilion rooms next to the pool, they were huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was served 7:30-10:00 in the little restaurant and was either eggs and toast or pancakes plus a fruit salad and unlimited tea or Bali coffee. The staff are all very attentive and helpful. We arrived at 1am after a 12hr delay with our flight, I had messaged the hotel via this site and they quickly replied that it was no problem. When we arrived we were shown straight to our room and allowed to leave the check in formalities until the morning. Highly recommend. This place is amazing value for money!…
At the monkey forest road about 1 km. to palace&market. Rooms are clean amd large. 3 kinds of breakfast is fair enough. Friendly staff. Large garden also nice for families travelling with kids. Swimming pool is treasure at hot Ubud days. Monkeys sometimes visit this hotel. Do not put anything valuable at outside.
Dewi Ayu is a fantastic budget option for staying in the heart of UBUD. It is a very pretty venue and the rooms are well airconed and clean. The pool is also very serene and a great place to kill some time and cool off. We have been twice and the staff have always been very helpful and friendly, always wearing a smile. Definitely recommend.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this guesthouse. The owner and staff are welcoming, friendly, professional and the nicest people. The location is absolutely perfect. Right smack in the middle, everything is at your fingertips. I ended up using the place as my base while in Bali, so my experience is probably a bit longer than the average traveler. I moved from room 5 to Pavillion room located above the swimming pool. Just lovely, the room is big, has 2 closets. A big bathroom (with bath tub) and a smaller bathroom where toilet and shower are. The pool was cleaned every morning. Not huge, but big enough to get my morning laps in before breakfast. If you’d like there’s a thermos with hot water to make your own coffee or tea. I asked for a fridge in my room, which is very handy. Cocos Supermarket is in walking distance as is Yoga Barn, Monsieur Spoon for the best coffee and croissants. When here you’re actually able to walk a loop and cover “downtown” Ubud. On Jl Monkey Forest Watercress is only a few minute walk for delicious lunch or dinner. Warung Garasi for excellent inexpensive local food. And so much more. Next to the guesthouse is a money exchanger and an excellent laundry. Can only highly recommend this place! Such good value for money and cleaner than more expensive hotels I’ve stayed in!! …
We have just spent 3 nights at Dewi Ayu and we loved it. We had a superior room with air con and were very impressed. Modern bathrooms, very clean, decent swimming pool, basic but good breakfast. Right on monkey forest road but once you enter the accommodation it is quiet. The staff are lovely and we have no complaints. Outstanding value.
