This hotel has been the best experience with a boutique hotel ever, we don’t now what it was , but we think it is because of the gorgeous interior and exterior designs based on an exquisite design craftsmanship, and of course the Balinese people, the service is great, and they genuinely enjoy helping us and keeping our kids happy with games and treats LoL, we will keep these unforgettable memories of Ubud and the Balinese great customer service for ever, thank you
What a wonderful stay we had in the Timor Residence at the Purist Villas in Ubud. The residence is beautiful with its private pool and beautifully decorated rooms that my wife and teenage daughters shared. But I would like to save my greatest praise for the wonderful staff who work there. Everyone from the front desk concierge, the grounds staff and the lovely staff at the Balisimo Restaurant on site where incredibly friendly and capable. Nothing was too much trouble and they all added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. They were awesome. I recommend the purist villas in Ubud to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the beautiful town of Ubud. Thank you to the team for making us feel so welcome.
Was fortunate enough to spend 3 fantastic nights here about a week ago booking a River Villa. Check in was quick as we were shown to our villa down along many steps and pathways. We had Ricer Villa 3 which is the furthest away but overlooks the second pool which made it feel like it was our personal pool…I only saw 2 other people in it in 3 days. Out villa had its own separate dining area and day beds overlooking the pool then steps down to another sitting area and table leading into our bedroom featuring a very comfortable bed , another lounge , tv and beautiful bathroom with 2 showers a bathtub overlooking the adjoining forest and a pond with 10 goldfish…in the bathroom ! The bedroom had icy cool aircon and fan too. Breakfast was a la carte in the restaurant every morning overlooking the main pool , we also took advantage of afternoon tea which is served here from 3 - 5pm every day. We visited local restaurants within walking distance each nite and took advantage of the free shuttle service to Ubud each day. We found the staff to be so friendly as well that actually got up to greet you every time you returned each day , Devi in the restaurant was a star and Wayan took us on a tour of vacant villas too which was a highlight. The Purist is a fantastic property , one of the best I’ve ever stayed at in 30 trips to Bali , backed by fantastic facilities and staff !…
We had a lovely stay for five nights at this boutique hotel. Choki and Daffey at the restaurant were amazing. Agus, Wayan and Aris at the front desk were kind and receptive. The spa team members skilled. I do not remember all names but as a team they multitask and help each other which is a great sign of team spirit. Pros - The food preparation is like a work of art. All ingredients are freshly sourced. The chefs are skilled at what they prepare. The staff are polite including house keeping who worked very hard to clean our villa in detail. They have a high tea with options for hot / cold tea coffee along with fruits / cakes / snacks. This was a nice touch if you get peckish. We shared a lot of our food with the team that we had hand carried from our country and the staff were very grateful at the opportunity to try other cuisines. 😀 The villas are comfortable and private. The F&B and Spa is well priced so it isn’t too heavy on the pocket to eat and enjoy a massage in the hotel. Of course, the market place has more options and is cheaper. Areas needing improvement- There is a lot of bread items in the breakfast menu. Multiple hot vegetarian options would be nice to have . When staying for 5 nights, it can get boring eating the same items. House keeping took 4 days to to fix our shower and water drainage problem in the shower. Lot of broken tiles on the steps etc which needs to be fixed. Perhaps since Bali is now opening up, they will slowly fix the things that are broken. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place because of the hospitality and private feeling since it has limited rooms.…
We stayed for 6 days at the Purist and had an amazing time. The villa was large and spacious and very beautifully appointed. The food was fresh, delicious and well priced but what really made the stay was the staff who were warm, helpful, kind and friendly. We felt so welcomed the moment we stepped in the door. The location is about a 25 minute walk into Ubud but the hotel provides a shuttle service into town for free which was helpful. We also enjoyed a massage at the spa which was wonderful. Would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a relaxing and refreshing holiday. For couples it is a very romantic place to stay!
After not being able to travel internationally for two years due to Covid-19 restrictions, we needed a winner, and Purist Villas did the trick. Enormous rooms? Check. Private pool? Check. Quiet and relaxing? Check. Great food? Absolutely. Great staff? At every turn: front desk, dining, housekeeping - everyone was wonderful. Need transportation? Purist has you covered: airport, day trip, pharmacy run, anything. And the drivers Purist contracts are as wonderful as the rest of the staff. Breakfast was great. Great pancakes, fresh fruit, perfect beverages. You can go Western or Indonesian, and it's all delicious. The best thing about breakfast for us? The dining staff watched our baby for us while we ate! Now that is relaxation. For dinner, the dining staff will come set up your dinner on your private poolside patio and then come clean up when you're done. It's wonderful. If you order delivery from outside the resort, no problem - the staff will bring it to your room just the same. Speaking of what Purist will have delivered to your room: how about nurses to administer the Covid tests your family needs to travel? No problem. Within a couple hours of asking, the front desk had two nurses from a nearby clinic swabbing us in the comfort of our own room for a very reasonable price. Purist Villas might just be the best place we ever stayed, and the nightly rate was beyond reasonable: just under $100 USD a night for top-flight Balinese luxury (and we got a free upgrade from a 'River Villa' to a 'Bamboo Villa'). This included breakfast. Stay at Purist. You won't be disappointed.…
This is a perfect spot to enjoy a quiet getaway, relaxing in your own private pool. The food was tasty and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. You feel hidden away in this retreat while only being a short bike ride from the centre of Ubud.
Relaxing and tranquil place to stay in Ubud. The place was decorated in a very detailed way a bit like the Aman resorts, but this place is definitely mote affordable compare to Aman properties, but that doesn’t mean you’re getting a cut down experience as this place was awesome and the highlight of staying in Bali, way better compare to Sofitel in Nusa Dua.
This stay was by far the most nourishing and transformational experience i have lived on a long time. The staff is very professional, the villa was a movie set out of utopia. I recommend THE PURIST to anyone seeking solitude in jungle luxury or romance as well.
Where to begin? Between the tastefully appointed villas, the friendly and accommodating staff, and the beautiful grounds, this place is THE place to stay in Ubud. We were waited on hand and foot. The massages were lovely; food delicious; room tastefully appointed. We loved the smell of Jasmine throughout the hotel.
