I wanted to write reviews but just caught up. Well it's never too late to share good things :) I checked in the middle of night around 2 AM and the staff was so receptive though that did cause a little confusion. However, this place is a gem. I never thought that I would experience A class service and a place to stay on my budgeted trip. I just loved their breakfast menu. They are so filling and tasty with complimentary tea/coffee. Oh ya fruits, they have heaps of complimentary tropical fruits for you in the room. How nice right? Bed, bathroom. Amenities, breakfast, pool, stay everything was just perfect. I guess Wi-Fi was little weak or I don't know but it wasn't good and a bit of noise from outside, but they weren't much of an issue for me. I was overwhelmed by what I got for the price I paid so other minor issues didn't matter at all. Oh ya, it's not the hotel itself is a gem but it was a gem in terms of location wise as well Literally minutes away from so many attractions. Live bands, restaurants and shops, they are just few steps away. What else? Well, If given a chance in life to go back to Bali then I am definitely staying here again without any second thoughts. I truly experienced Balinese cultural during my stay here in Gayatri.

We’re beyond thrilled we booked here! The price, location, quality can’t be beat! The ornate lodge looked exotic and gave us the feel of a true Balinese cultural experience. The grounds were beautiful (and growing with plans to expand), the staff was the most helpful and friendly, the food was 100% fresh/local/delicious (we all miss the variety of freshly squeezed juices! Plus banana pancakes and traditional Balinese dishes!) and the location was in the heart of everything while being just off the road to enjoy some much needed quiet in busy Ubud. We had our two young daughters with us (4yrs and almost 2yrs) and we walked most places around Ubud with them just fine (Monkey Forrest, market, yoga barn, palace, restaurants, shops, etc.). We had a room with two canopy beds and were provided fresh fruits and water in our room daily. We arranged airport transportation through the lodge to get us from the airport to the lodge in the middle of the night. The price was reasonable/comparable to other estimates I researched. Our room was on a bottom level with views of the pool. The pool was surrounded by beautiful flowers, fountains, sculptures, etc. and all the chairs had nicely folded towels and fresh flowers placed on them. We loved swimming in the pool before or after our daily activities and excursions. The staff was so sweet to our girls and the young owner spoke great English and was very helpful with providing information for local attractions. However, we used a local taxi driver we met in town for all our daily excursions and planning. His English was great and his knowledge of the country sites was key for planning out our days. Plus being flexible with two little ones! (+62 813-3853-9235 Katut Puspawan- Mr. Free Hugs). There’s so much to see and do in Bali, and Ubud is a great launching point. It takes longer to get places due to traffic and layout/structure of roads. We extended our stay here because we loved the lodge, location, and realized we needed more time to explore and not feel rushed. Next to the lodge is a school and our girls loved visiting the school girls. We can’t wait to go back one day!

We stayed for 8 nights in January and couldn’t be happier with our choice. We stayed in room 12 which had a massive balcony overlooking the pool area and plenty of room inside for our family of four. The hotel offers one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had (it is vegan, but it didn’t bother us and the teenagers raved about the scrambled tofu). The pool was lovely after a busy days sightseeing and we were especially grateful for the never ending supply of water to fill up our own bottles. It was an easy walk to some of the attractions in the centre of Ubud, and whilst the location was in the centre it was surprisingly quiet. We were very happy with our stay and haven’t hesitated to recommend Gayatri to friends.

Gayatri was a wonderful introduction to ubud. Perfectly located close to all shops, restaurants ect but tucked away from the crowd giving you a sort of sanctuary experience. Loved the authentic building, the pool, warm and helpful staff and the breakfast which was healthy and delicious. Well done to all involved and thankyou for memorable stay.

Can't praise this place enough. The room I stayed in (4) was beautiful and had good Aircon. The staff are very friendly and helpful and arrange cars for you. The site is gorgeous and peaceful. The main highlight for me was the FOOD! It's exceptional. I looked forward to breakfast every day and had dinner some nights too. Definitely worth staying here. One tip, though; if you have bleached hair do NOT get it wet in the pool. The ends of my hair went green!

I booked in Gayatri for only 3 nights but overstayed more nights because we really enjoyed it with my kids. Not only it looked so nice and traditional but also it’s a relaxing place. Right next to everything but hidden in quietly place. Everything is at walking distance. Breakfast was healthy and diverse. Staff was helpful if needed Pool great to refresh. Thanks again , we will be back

We spent almost a month traveling in Bali and this was the first place we stayed and of the 4 properties we stayed at, was our favorite. After a 7hour flight delay we arrived very late having lost a day, We arranged to be picked up from the airport though the Gayatri and Komang (Awo) picked us up and set the tone for our first trip to Bali. What a gentleman. We loved everything about this property. The location made us feel safe amongst the bustle of the main road. The breakfast was beautiful and quite the experience every morning. It is everything I was picturing Bali to be. We were well taken care of. The rooms! We were up in room 9, the view... incredible. Quiet, view of the pool, opening those doors in the morning... bliss. Our family also had a room downstairs in the same building and loved theirs just the same. I really can not fault the Gayatri, every place we stayed after didn’t quite live up to our experience here. Thank you Bagus for your inviting welcome, we loved hearing the history of your family and the buildings. This will 100% be our go to. We will be back again same time next year. We hope to see you again Awo and spend time in the special space which is The Gayatri ❤️

I am very happy with my stay at this hotel: 1) a quiet place in the city center at the fork of all the main streets, where there is a party 2) the hotel has the concept of ecology, healthy food. They have their own garden where they grow herbs for their restaurant 3) I lived in a huge room on the top floor and had a view of the whole city, on the floor there was only my room and I felt like a Queen 4) very tasty large breakfasts (5 items to choose from) that you order on vatsap as soon as you wake up. Breakfast is served at the table next to the entrance to room 5) clean pool. In the morning to swim in a pleasure 6) and in very authentic Balinese style 7) huge modern TV and digital TV. You can watch films by YouTube!!! Most importantly, the hotel Manager solved the problem with settling in and selecting a room very correctly, we were able to agree. This is the best factor when the hotel is focused on guests and works honestly. Business is based on quality services and hospitality! Good luck and all the best to this hotel!!!

Very beautifully traditionally decorated, peaceful, lovely staff and lovely vegan food. Value for money. A great base for seeing the sights of Ubud. Will return. We travelled by motorbike from Seminyak and went off to the rice terraces, monkey forrest and Campuhan ridgewalk and many many temples.

Pros: Beautiful Balinese-style entrance and garden, kind staff, welcoming fruit, great location. Cons: The room condition(room 9) was very much disappointed. As soon as I entered the room I immediately saw the dirty bedclothes. They changed it to a white sheet when asked. I had spent much time to choose nice rooms for my family but most of us were not satisfied at all. We stayed at 5 different rooms. Reviews said that the rooms were renovated, but the bathroom of room 9 was a nightmare to me. I guess the materials of the wall and floor should be blamed for. Maybe they easily get dirty and are difficult to clean up. The maintenance seemed to be annoyed when being called. It was apparent he had repeatedly cleaned it before when guests had complained about it. Breakfast was also below my expectations. I wouldn't recommend this place. You can be satisfied with this hotel, but you might want to avoid room 9. Sadly though, it has a great view. The cleaning should be improved.
