This is not our first time to stay at Kencana Ubud. Normally this is such a great place with great value of money. But in our last stay, there are some points we would like to mention that make our stay less comfortable like usual. First, we recognize that they changing the staff to the new ones and we are not really happy with them. One day we come back around 7pm and found out our room is opened. I suppose they forget to lock it back after the cleaning. Fortunately there were nothing missing. The other day it was raining so bad in Ubud the whole day, and we stayed longer at our room (until 3pm). When we come back we found out they didn’t clean our room. When we ask if they can clean it, they refuse it with a reason that it is no more the time to clean it. Exactly the next day, when I woke up in the morning, I found out that there is no water running on the bathroom. So I need to ask them what happen and they try to fix it within 30 - 45 mins. When finally the water is on again, it was so dirty (the color is black), so we need to wait by throwing all the water around 15 mins until it’s clear again. We are traveling and working at the same time. Normally we woke up late and they are nicely bring our breakfast up. But couple of time, they knock our door too loud like for me it’s not polite enough. Over all it’s a nice place but maybe because the staffs are new, the management need to train them more so they can meet the standard they have before. …

We stayed here for 5 nights whilst in Ubud and were not disappointed. Our room was spotless, with a very big comfy bed and good bathroom facilities. There is also a little balcony which was nice to sit and relax on. Kencana has a lovely downstairs area which a nice pool to enjoy the sun in. Breakfast every morning was so tasty! (I recommend the pancakes) The staff are very lovely people who make you feel so welcome and are very approachable / easy to talk to. Highly recommend this place, thank you for making our stay in Ubud so great :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kencana. We have stayed at many guesthouses in the Ubud area and this by far the best. The service provided by the guys is exceptional and they are so sweet and lovely to talk to. Our room was beautiful with perfect aircon, an extremely comfortable bed and a great shower. The balcony was really nice to chill out on. The entire property was very clean and the guys cooked a great breakfast. I highly recommend the pancakes. Although this is right in Ubud, it's tucked away down a little side street, right next to a convenience store and it's very quiet and private. You can also rent scooters here for a good price. We extended our stay as we were so happy here. Thank you for a lovely time. We will be back!
