Very nice accommodation in a quiet, peaceful, beautiful tropical garden. The pool is nice and clean. The accommodation is relatively close to the center and attractions. Helpful, attentive staff. Very delicious breakfast. Come to the massage house on request 😊 Welcome
Hotel royal villa Jepun A mixed feeling to this place. Friendly staff. The hotel has no bar, no food after breakfast (which is limited but tasty) we asked for a beer at the poolside and they had only one left so I had to go to the shop to buy myself. The outdoor bathroom is enchanting until the ants crawl all over your toiletries and you have to flick ants off the toilet lid. The tub looked unclean and dated. Plus side was no bathroom odors! It is quaint too. Towels were unchanged first day so requested from then on. Usually would make do with same for longer but they were not clean. Cleaning is a limited experience with brushing down sheets and mopping floor.. I’m sure they would change sheets if there for longer or by request. Four poster bed was nice and comfy with mosquito net (big stains on the over head netting looked like mould) Beautiful garden. Decent pool. Room for 6 sun beds. We had no fridge but that wasn’t an issue. Nearby dining is limited... but great BBQ just doors down called naughty nuris (fab BLTs) Walk to main town 20 - 25 mins. Taxi cost 50,000 ID one way. (May have been more than cost price) After the busyness of ubud it’s a quiet haven, but could be so much more as potential is there. Corners are cut in providing extras for guests which would elevate this place to a better standard. But saying all this I would say it’s perfectly located and relaxing for a short stay. very scenic and quiet. …
I am not one for negative reviews but we really do not think these pictures/reviews are truthful of our experience. Staff were friendly enough and breakfast OK. We stayed in Villa 9 right by the pool (think standard room). The pictures on the internet looked good but when we arrived we immediately did not get blown away/feel that comfortable in the room. The sheets were a bit grubby/pillow stained with make up and did not feel fresh when sleeping and the canopy mozz net had stains on it (not great when looking up). Also, it was very noisy! We could hear everything in the other villas (babies crying/children shouting/people talking/motorbikes/animals) and some people used the pool around midnight which was annoying when we wanted to sleep. I would say if on a budget it’s OK for 1/2 nights but we booked 4 and just stayed 2 as we just didn’t fancy staying any longer. We moved and were SO glad we did. The lady asked why we were moving and we said but we had to pay 50% cancellation fee but we weren’t that bothered as didn’t want to cause a fuss! Just wanted to leave.…
Royal Villa Jepun was a lovely hotel, with lovely and helpful staff! We enjoyed our 7 night stay here, and for the people who have complained in previous reviews about the bugs/creatures, don’t stay in a jungle then! We had some geckos in our room but what can you expect when there are trees all around you and you’re in Bali? The staff were helpful and speak good English, the pool was clean and nice to swim in after a long day out in the heat. The breakfast had a nice choice, the green pancakes with fried banana on were the best! As well as the Indonesian rice choice. For the price we paid for 7 nights, there wasn’t anything to complain about. I would recommend to anyone!
A smaller hotel. Set back from the main drag and very comfortable with easy access to a diverse range of restaurants. Also opposite one of the Neka museums. Lots of good choices for massage as well. Overall, a good location just minutes from the heart of Ubud
Royal Villa Jepun is definitely the place to stay in Ubud ! The trees and vegetation make the place stunning! The room is huge with a gorgeous outdoor bathroom ! The staffs are very friendly and always available to assist you with activities/transportation. It is 30min walk from the Ubud center but only 3min by car-taxi (that are everywhere in the street and costs only 3$ one way!). Breakfast is delicious with fresh juices! Will be back soon !
We spent 3 nights at Royal Villa. It's a lovely, small hotel and feels very tranquil tucked away in its lush gardens. We received a warm welcome and a cold juice at check in. Our room was really spacious and nicely furnished. It had a large open air bathroom with a huge stone bathtub. The A/C worked really well to cool the large space. We enjoyed having our own private veranda to sit out on too. The pool was nice to have a splash about in. Breakfast was decent. Have the standards of fresh fruit salad, juice and coffee/tea and then choose between any eggs with toast, Balinese pancake, sandwich or fried rice. The hotel is well located for nearby restaurants and cultural sites and is a good base to explore the surrounding area. All the staff were friendly and helpful and organised taxi transport for us to our next destination. Royal Villa is excellent value for money and I would recommend a stay here while exploring Ubud.…
We were looking for a last minute hotel stay as we had a problem going to another part of the isle. Our location was right there so we were able to get it for a night. The room was big and campy. The bathroom big with a huge stone tub but a bit difficult to get in and out for a shower. The grounds are nice with a nice pool. Breakfast was tasty. The hotel is OK for the price.
We were stay here for two days, the room very simple with outside bathroom, great value for money, the staff so humble and very helpful, close the centre just 20minutes walk.we will come back definitely.
Stayed here as solo traveller. In villa 1, closest to reception. Huge villa with double terrace sitting area out front. Outdoor bathroom interesting, loved the stone bath. It was so comfortable to lie in. Breakfast can be had in the room or restaurant. Ok breakfast. Nasi goring was certainly very tasty. A laneway runs beside the hotel and the noise of motorbikes was annoying at night. Also a dog barked a lot, and then the roosters started early morning, but hey this is rural ubud. What do you expect. Overall a pleasant stay. Didn’t use the pool at all, although it looked great. A couple of doors away is naughty nuris, Neka museum almost diagonally across the road and another great little restaurant Kopi Kats a short walk further up the hill. Very pleasant owner and staff.
