Just what they state in their web: Bali meets Italy. Art meets food. Handcraft meets quality. Great-designed villas with attention to the very details. Each villa makes its own statement in an elegant fusion of contemporary line and traditional aesthetic, referencing elements of Chinese, Italian and Balinese decor.Originated from a group of fine ceramic makers. They make superb gelatos and...

Thank you Gaya for making our Christmas a superb and memorable one. From the moment we touched down at the airport things cold not have gone more smoothly, our driver was waiting there for us. Everything at the Gaya fusion is perfect, from the villa,(we stayed in Villa Bambu) food, restaurant and most importantly the friendly and helpful staff. We...

Stayed in Papyrus Villa and it was absolutely lovely! Very clean, great views and rooms. Breakfast is served at the Gaya restaurant and is freshly made. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool, although communal has a lovely view and we never had to share it with anyone (there are probably only 3 or 4 villas in the complex) Only...

It is true that Ubud has a diversity of places to stay for every budget. So i found the value for money at Gaya was great. My initial contact with reservation through...

Great place. We stayed in the new villa - faboulus. People are very friendly and everything was as we expected to be. The food price (dinner) may be a little high compared to the center of Ubud.

We stayed in villa kayu with our two children (girl 6 years, boy 9 years). We all loved it. Gaya is a little bit out of Ubud in an area called Sayan. But we thought this was a good thing. The centre of Ubud is very noisy and congested. Sayan is about 10 minutes away by car or a 30-40...

- good and welcome arrival - wonderful vila service (lights, curtains, towels, etc) - we had a leaking shower when we arrived and this was a disturbance during the first night (check this before arrival) - we would have liked more options for the breakfast possibilities (buffet?) - best dinner ever! (privat dinner) - thank you so much for our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Gaya Villas originally built as bungalows for our artists, set between the nature of the river gorge and the culture of the Art Space, integrate original artwork with luxurious living - a reflection of our philosophy that art and life are inseparable. Our Italian-Balinese fusion architecture includes marble floors and grass "alang alang" roofs, two shared living areas (one overlooking the pool and gardens, another with a large table and cushions) and a swimming pool with sun-lounge area. ... more   less

“If you want to be by the pool, ask for one of the older two villas up top. If you want to be more secluded and don't mind a short walk to the pool (totally neglibile), then ask for one of the four newer villas down below.”
