Upon arrival , the reception did not meet and greet but busy on talking to her manager for other stuff . We seems unseen even we stand in front of her. Then she took our passport to copy, and the hotel manager straight away ask us to pay extra money we need to pay as we have kids with us . Feels we are the fish on the chopping board but not feeling we are welcoming here for holiday . Booked with Amex and already told them we got extra person however there is no communication about the extra charge . A child for $1.2m, not about the money but it’s ruined my holiday mood the way they deliver this . A good hotel all about service but here I don’t feel it. I recommend whoever want to enjoy holiday stay away from this hotel. as to them, you would be just another dollar sign to their eye. Plus , there are million of mosquitos everywhere . So another issue with someone attractive to mosquitos

The staff here go above and beyond. I bought one of the luxury escapes to stay here for 5 nights. It was for two people, but I was just travelling solo. So they accommodated that by basically just doubling all of the inclusions for me, which was really unexpected, but a nice touch. The villas are phenomenal. Sanur itself wasn’t for me. It is very quiet, and I didn’t feel super comfortable walking around as there aren’t any paved roads, and there’s more stray dogs than other parts of Bali. There is a beach that runs for 5km which is pretty nice! Paved walk way, and lots of restaurants along the beach front. There are also lots of stores along the way, so be prepared 😂 But the villas themselves, and the staff were absolutely the best.

Magic of Bali is real. Beautiful place, comfort and amazing.... The people so friendly, and warm. Speechless for natural landscape of Ubud. Old trees with hotel or resort building become one, so naturally and beautifull.

it was nice, the ambience its absolutely incredible The downside of this place is, its so hidden, the road leading to this place is not that big, and the parking space is on diffrent place, u need to walk around 50m, but theres no info whatsoever before hand, other than that, the place was awesome!

We stayed in one of the private villas with pool, i think the name of the villa was cenga. The villa itself was amazing- one main building with the modern bathroom, including outdoor and indoor shower, along with the bedroom (with steps leading directly into the pool). The second building was the eating area and living room, both very comfortable. The service, food (we could order as much as we wanted from the menu) and the villa iteself were absolutely fantastic, a pure dream and very luxurious. However, the reason for the 4-star rating is two-fold. First, the pool, although large and spacious, was absolutely freezing in October/November, and therefore not very enjoyable. This was probably mainly due to the utter lack of sunshine reaching the pool and pool deck throughout the day because of the many trees in the yard (this may be different in other villas). We asked the staff if adjusting the temperature was possible, but unfortunately it wasn't because they don't have heaters. Secondly, and most importantly, was the utter disappointment of their beach. It took you about an 8-min bike ride from the villa to the actual beach, which is divided into many sections, each belonging to an adjacent hotel. The beach section of the Kayumanis was about 40-50min wide, and was completely covered in seaweed and kelp, at least 10m deep into the water. There was absolutely no way to enter the water without first sinking and going under in seaweed. Contrasting to that were the very well kept beaches of the hotels next door. We were absolutely disappointed and devastated. When attempting to use the other sections of the beach, we were quickly reprimanded by the hotel staff of both our and the other hotel. We were so upset that we complained to the manager, who then organized two workers to start cleaning up the beach. Two days later they still weren't done, still tons of seaweed, that we just gave up and organized ourselves a scooter to go to other nearby public beaches. We ended up sneaking onto one of the nearby private beaches and laid on the ground for our last day. Overall, the villa and the luxurios feeling is worth the money, but the beach and cold pool ruined our stay. I think we would stay here again if the pool temperature becomes adjustable and rhe beach was better taken care of.

All villas are equipped with a swimming pool, lush garden, great outdoor settings. Very attentive staff 24 hours a day, they were able to accommodate our needs for transport for free in the Sanur area, from 7am to 11pm daily. You can also hire a driver to take you to further destinations like we went to Ubud and the GWK park. Service options are 5-hour (half day) or 8-hour (full day). Every driver we've had was well aware of everywhere we wanted to go. During our trips to Ubud, we we got to have our daily high tea at their Ubud property and also a chance to inspect their Jimbaran property. They were all unique in their own way, beautiful staff across the board. All in all I would recommend to people to come to Kayumanis Resort! Keep up the exceptional work and a huge thank you to all the staff for giving us such a wonderful stay!

Stayed at the lovely Kayumanis Sanur villa for 2 nights in my last few days stay in Bali. It was a nice quiet and zen escape after travels for 2 weeks through Ubud and Uluwatu. The staff went above and beyond accommodating me with the smallest details from changing the free open mini bar to all glass spring mineral water (because I don’t drink soda or beer) to the multiple wake up calls.. (I was on Bali time). My villa was gorgeous and was lovely having breakfast in my outdoor living room as well as a receiving a massage. The staff and butler truly ensured that I was comfortable and I highly recommend Kayumanis Sanur and their other properties. I’ve stayed at their Ubud location last year which was also so lovely!

We stayed here after 2016 for the second time for 12 nights. It was fantastic again. Service: Everyone greats you and asks if everything is fine or if you have any wish, they really care about you. The free transfer service within Sanur is of course highly appreciated, we used it several times. Villa: You are absolutely on your own with your own villa, bath and living room outside, a kitchen, of course the pool and the sleeping room. The villa gets cleaned up twice a day, as well the pool. It is a relly great feeling to be in your own pool and relax after maybe a day of walking around when you are really tired. You have two fridges, a large in the kitchen, a small in your room with complimentary drinks refilled every day. Breakfast: You can have it the whole day! We came back one day at 4:30 PM and took the floating breakfast in the pool, really amazing. You can choose between several menus, we only took the original meals from Indonesia like Mie or Bami Goreng, of course they offered American or continental breakfast as well. Dinner: We got a complimentary dinner and had the BBQ in our villa, both tasted great and for the BBQ they have three choices of type, we had seafood and Indonesian. The price is more than fair, they come with I think 7 people, decorate the pool and bring the grill and a cook grills directly in your garden while you have a private waiter as well. Wine is included here. The food was that much that we put something in the fridge to have it next day. Absolutely recommended. Excursion with your own driver: We had two times a driver to bring us to Kuta and Jimbaran (go there for the fishmarket and get your fish grilled directly there, amazing!). Only a drop off and went back by taxi. You feel much better when you have a driver from the hotel! In addition we had a driver for half day, again to Jimbaran fish market and then to GWK statue. You feel saver than in a taxi or with a private driver. The costs are a bit higher but we think this is still ok. We had the trip to the hideaway jungle picnic offered by the hotel - really amazing trip with some stops and then the picnic somewhere in the jungle with a fantastic view. You can select what you want to have for picnic and it was too much too eat for us. A real great trip. Nearby: When yo go out, turn right and right again you get to MD Warung, really great but often full that we needed to wait to get a seat. When you go 100 meter futher the way to the main street there is a supermarket where you get everything. When you go out to the left, at the end of the street again left you need to walk over the main street there is Juicy & Crispy where you get amazing spare ribs and chicken. We used the pickup service from the hotel to go there in the evening. Beach: Well, check it on your own, we preferred our pool. Spa: My wife got a massage in our villa - I am not a fan of massage at all. She found it really great and felt even asleep during the massage - totally relaxing! Will we come back? Definetly! Babak Christian and Ibu Cornelia
