We stayed at this hotel recently for 5 nights and were pleasantly surprised. The room was well laid out with good furniture and facilities. The daily breakfast was not extensive but with an egg station and enough other options to put on your plate it was more than adequate. The staff were all friendly and professional. The location is close to the beach with many restaurant options within close walking distance. Would highly recommend this great value for money hotel
We came here to Bali and this was our first stop. First thing first, if you want something extravagant..maybe this isnt for you. Pool sucks..but if you came here to Bali to swim in a pool..you're an idiot. Go swim in the ocean. Its Bali...That being said..it had a bed, shower, mini fridge, coffee, tea, water, ac and room service. What's to complain about? The staff explained to us what's what and where to go. Restaurants are everywhere and so was the market. Atm down the street in case you need cash. It's a decent hotel for the price. Tons others around but it all depends what you are looking for. Simple and price worthy..then check it out.
There are two hotels , the old and new, make sure you book the newer wing. These newer rooms are notable for being spacious and best shower (with hot water) of the many places in bali have stayed. nearly beachfront is still not beachfront but 5 minute walk is actually hard to find at first. You see this creepy alley and think "this can not be it, but it is" Sanur is Bali's Waikiki, great walking path along the entire beach, bicycles make sense here, where the rest of Bali is very dangerous for bicycles. Hotel has one for you, multiple beach rentals of bikes and SUP surfboards, Many restaurants and people hawking stuff. Some of the beachfront hotels have amazing pools and grounds along the path. We have been coming to Villa Puri Ayu for approximately 6 years and have recommended it to many friends, unfortunately I can no longer recommend these Villas. The place is falling apart around there feet, the pools are cloudy most of the time the small pool is always dirty, they used to have a permanent gardener he has gone so the gardens are not in a good state. The decking around the main pool is dangerous. As far as I can see no maintenance has been carried since the new Villa,s where added. The new restaurant had a fantastic chef but now the food is bland with the same sauce on most of the Indonesian meals consequently there is lack of clientele. Not to mention the state of the towels and linen. We have always found the staff very helpfull. Villa Puri Ayu needs a lot of maintenance to bring it back up to scratch. …
I have stayed here a number of times before. It is however getting old and tired and needs some maintenence and attention. The staff were friendly and it is a great location to gain access to the beach and nearby restaurants. The prices are cheap but the rooms, pool and other facilities are now very tired.
I have stayed in several places kn Bali, all wonderful, and this place is the best! The staff and management went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, the pool/grounds and room was clean and well maintained and the spa is very professional and reasonable. We will be back!
Friendly staff and very helpful supervisor. Stay in the room upstairs by frontdesk was pleasant, rooms newly refurbished and fresh! Comfortable bed, room also included a little kitchenette, very useful. Quiet. Some photos of these rooms online should be re taken as the room actually looks better than in the pictures.
Really enjoyed staying here in the new rooms. They are spacious, stylish, reasonably priced and comfortable. It’s about 100m from Sanur beach, at the south end, which I like best. The staff are excellent and mostly a bit older and their experience, friendliness and helpfulness shows. Thankyou everyone at Villa Puri Ayu for a wonderful six night stay
The photos are a complete misrepresentation of the rooms we were given. Our rooms are in fact part of the collage but must have been photoshopped ! While the staff were friendly enough and helpful enough , this tired hotel needs an overhaul. Would have been lovely in its time. We were offered a better room after we decided we couldn’t stay but the pool looked green and not the Bali stay we were looking for. The room was grubby, cobwebs complete with spiders in the bathroom and there are no words to describe the condition of the pink shower/ bath. When there are so many other lovely places to stay in Sanur, my recommendation would be is to give this a big miss until it has a complete makeover!!!!
We checked in and checked straight out. The baths were dirty. The pool area was not tended to the lounge chairs were frayed. The garden area was unkempt. The cupboards were dirty and generally the place felt unloved. The staff were friendly and helpful when we told them we were not staying.
