We have stayed at the Ayodya Resort on at least four occasions in the years before covid. We have just visited Nusa Dua on our first trip to Bali since travel restrictions have eased and decided to walk down to the Ayodya - hoping to make a booking for later in the year. We were dismayed at the state of the hotel. It is clear that management made a decision to close it at the beginning of the pandemic and have conducted no maintenance during the last 2-3 years. To make matters worse they had a fire in the beachside restaurant about 12 months ago and that area is boarded up with no sign of rebuilding. We thought that the hotel was closed, but saw a staff member who told us that it was open. They have opened the Ayodya Palace to guests. This used to be the exclusive wing of the hotel, but represents less than 5% of the entire resort. If you book here, you should be aware that the vast majority of the hotel is closed and derelict. I really hope the owners now invest some money to restore this hotel back to it's former glory as it was our favourite hotel in Nusa Dua (I have previously posted 5 star ratings on this resort). While I don't want to make life harder for any of the people in Bali who have been through so much hardship I think people who are considering staying here need to understand what condition it is in. I should say that the general area of Nusa Dua was extremely well maintained as were most of the other hotels. We were really pleased to have come back and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the area.

Visited in June 2021 - During C-vid "lockdown" in Bali - Very old room, furniture clearly damaged. Shower from 1970s, difficult to make it work properly. - Cleaning wasn't great, even during this time when you get ask to wear a mask and others rules... Our room was dirty, the phone was sticky like nobody cleaned in years... Hair and dust everywhere. - Reception staff were rude and unprofessional. Unhappy to help. - This hotel offers "daily pass", you will end sharing the pool/beach/installations with dirty dogs, people pay a cheap fee, and they bring their animals. They will take the seats at the beach and their dogs are hanging around and pissing near you. During the weekend, you will be surrounded by more dogs than humans. Just imagine the smell of piss and popo from the dogs.... The hotel should not accept dogs. On the good side: - The view from our balcony was really beautiful. Facing the beach. - Breakfast was basic (à la carte). OK - Wifi worked correctly - The swimming pool in front of the beach was a big plus (except the weekend) This hotel needs a renovation and new management. Will not go back.

I'm just glad to have stayed at the Ayodia hotel. Room was very nice and clean, in fact, employees were very kind and generous. I was also pleased by the environment and ambience. The food was very tasty and fresh. The gym is very good, too. I would suggest everyone this hotel.

We get a very good rates, so our experience was ok! The room in the Palace its old fashioned with broken mirror and broken glass tablet, the bed ok with very clean linen. Balkone with beautiful views to ocean and lake. The bathroom in bad condition, the shower old stile, bathtub with yellow water..... the garden, pool and landscape very clean. Good maintenance! The included breakfast very minimal. The service for a 5 star house slow. No towels service to the daybed, serve yourself! I don’t know, what is the philosophy of this hotel?

Definitely go here. It has great amenities and the beauty of the place! Food is the best there is. So many options. I went here with my mum and grandma and loved it. I recommend everyone to go here. Just relax. Don’t pack for winter, pack for summer and it’s like a 50metre walk to the beach

After a month in Indonesia, our last stay was in this hotel. We enjoyed our time relaxing and preparing for our next flight, the fitness center is kinda small but there are a lot to do besides. The food was Okay with a good variety.
