So, we arrived at the Matahari Bungalows after our flight from Australia, excited for a relaxing week in Bali after travelling for over a year. On arrival we checked in around 12am (midnight) and was asked for a 'security deposit' of $100. This is stated no where on the hotels website or booking.com. We asked for a receipt if we...

Well the old adage "you get what you pay for" is true. My friend booked this through booking.com and it came up as Legian. However, it isn't Legian at all but Kuta. It is set on a very busy street, which is a good location if you want the night life of Kuta. The night life spilled over into the...

Very good hotel in Legian with private bungalows. Good location. The pool and the gardens are very nice, with a bar in the pool. Very nice for refreshments. Staff is friendly and helpful. A good place to stay in Legian

Stayed here for a couple of nights found the place to be clean, pool was large. Its a budget resort at a great price. Staff very friendly in a great location on the main strip close to nightlife etc As its an older resort it is set on a large block of land with nice gardens,

Our room was very clean and well serviced. The hotel is in a great central location but is also very quiet as soon as you leave the street. The gardens and pool area are lovely and big. The only let down was the breakfast was very average.

We visited Bali in 2015 (april) and stayed at this hotel for 1 week. As I heard the rooms are now more comfortable and modern, when we were there they were very simple, the bad was ok, but the bathroom was a bit scary :D The garden was beautiful with chill out lounge, massage places full with trees, flowers and...
