At the Bali Dynasty Resort Hotel, guests have called out the family-oriented amenities, including a kid's club and various dining choices, as highlights, though some areas might benefit from refurbishment. Its prime location garners praise for its easy access to local attractions, despite occasional comments on overcrowding. The lively atmosphere, complete with entertaining live music, is a hit among families. While the rooms are acknowledged for their cleanliness, their dated appearance and maintenance have been noted. The service, particularly in the kids club and spa, is often lauded, although poolside service can lag at times. Guests also commend the hotel's cleanliness and consider the overall offerings a good value.

Very reasonably priced and entertaining resort with great atmosphere. We had a very enjoyable stay here and the housekeeping/ room service really did a great job with going to the smallest detail to service your room. The only thing I would say is there isn’t a beach to speak of, it’s more a small black sand area and the nice beach belongs to the hotel next door. That said it’s next to the coast so you can walk along the seaside to other beach resort restaurants.

This was our first time at Dynasty, came highly recommend by friends and family.

We were not overly impressed with the size of the rooms and having to spend an extra $35 a night for a rollaway bed for our 4 year old. The mattress was completely urine stained from previous guests. So felt ripped off. Kids should stay and eat free seeing it's a kid resort, not be charged thru the roof for having them stay.

Hotel grounds was on the smaller side, and only 1 average sized main pool with a swim up bar that had no children signs all around, which was completely ignored by staff as there were so many kids splashing you at the bar, I felt uneasy drinking and smoking on top of them.

Kids club and waterpark/water slide was amazing for our 4 year old.

Adults only retreat was pretty good, but wasn't enforced too well like swim up bar. Example kids walking thru to use toilet at the rear of the spa.

Grounds were well manicured and staff were very friendly.

Dear Christian M, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay with us here at the Bali Dynasty Resort. We appreciated your feedback with regards to the bed cleanliness and rest assured that our housekeeper will pay attention to this. With regards to the kids at the pool bar, we indeed are not allowed kids in this area and will ensure that the policy is properly reinforced. We were glad that despite this, you appreciated the prompt service rendered by the staff and noted that you liked the Kids Water Fun Zone facilities. Regards, Didit Indra General Manager

Rammed full of boguns, this hotel is not worth it's 4 star rating and I would certainly not return here again. At best it’s a good 2 star.
The pool was ok, but the kids pool closes at 5:30pm and doesn’t open till 9am. The pool was dirty and poolside felt like we were witness to a drinking olympics by some heavily tattooed clientele who enjoyed shadow boxing and drinking while their spawn caused havoc in the pool. Our daughter did enjoy the pool (in the most part) due to the slide but you have to keep an eye on them as there was little empathy poolside from fellow travellers. My only caveat was the poolside staff who were quite lovely.

The front desk service staff at the counter were mediocre, the cleanliness of the interconnecting room was passable but rooms and facilities are in desperate need of some refurbishment and deep cleansing. Felt a little like stepping into the 80's

The breakfast food at Sen5es was just ok, however the old woman trying to push some extra money for a cappuccino over a normal coffee was painful and a disgrace. We also tried Sen5es on our first evening and the food was miserable and would not be recognised as authentic Indonesian food. Service was terrible and there are much better options locally.

I believe there are many better hotel and restaurant options in Bali and I would never recommend this hotel.

Dear blakeHK, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay with us here at the Bali Dynasty Resort. I have noted your feedback with regards to the kids club facilities as well as the pool facilities. I appreciated your concern with regards to the people around the pool area, and indeed this is one of our greatest challenges and we do conduct staff training to this effect to deal with this situation. Rest assured this matter will be addressed with the respective staff and it is a top priority of the management to ensure that we do have a controlled environment in which everyone can have an enjoyable time. With regards to the room and amenities, rest assured that this has been addressed. We understand that we are not for everyone’s liking and hope that you will have something better on your next holiday in Bali. Regards, Didit Indra General Manager

We had not been back to the Bali Dynasty for about 20 years and, oh how it has changed.... These are difficult times, but we're amazed in the decline of the presentation of this hotel. At check in we presented our local drivers licence and were asked if we have the valid covid test, as for some reason they just assumed we had just flown in from overseas. We told breakfast starts 6.30am till 10am and presented ourselves promptly at 7.15am.when we booked via booking.com we were promised an AMZING breakfast. Far from it. Due to covid they have a very limited buffet that's not really a buffet, because staff need to serve you, but there were none there. When they did arrive we asked for omelette with cheese and were told that cheese was still coming. Bacon? Still coming. Or though we could not serve ourselves as we may have contaminated utensils, we were free to help ourselves to sauces and condiments via spoons. The staff when serving our food wore not gloves. This AMAZING breakfast did not include the standards, a choice of bread, cold cuts, yoghurt, bacon, cheese, pastries or anything exciting.
When asking for cheese with the omelette, the cook replied yeah, yeah, yeah. That seems to be the policy in these difficult times.
We will not be back.

We chose the Bali Dynasty as the final stop on our travels, it was lovely to spend Christmas and New Year. New Years Eve on the beach, wow, the fireworks were just out of this world, a memory none of us will ever forget!
The staff are amazing, friendly, polite and so so helpful. The site is clean and the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is in a perfect location for shops etc, right on the beach and there is plenty to do and loads of activities on site. The swim up bar was a hit as was 'happy hour'. Also the 'adult only' sunbed space was excellent, our 16 year old son made good use of it to get away from his younger siblings who weren't allowed in there.
The buffet breakfast and dinners were brilliant and always gave a good selection of food. We had the Christmas Eve buffet which was ok, probably not worth the money but it was a good experience with entertainment going on and a nice thing to do on our first day on the site. The normal evening buffets were excellent and again the staff so accommodating in bring my daughter gravy (which she has never liked until coming to Bali!) every day even though she had only had it once, they just love to make people happy.
The swim up rooms are excellent. It was great for our 3 children to play together and get away from the noise of the main pool.
One negative - It took ages checking in and our room wasn't ready even though we hadn't arrived until gone 2pm.
On the whole an amazing stay.
Thank you all for an unforgettable Christmas!

We have just returned from 10 days staying at the Bali Dynasty and would be more than happy to stay there again. The family rooms are great value for money and there was more than enough space for two adults and two children (12 & 8). Everything was clean and towels replaced daily. The only negative was the poor lighting in the bathroom, by the wardrobe and by the mirrors, which made getting ready and putting on makeup difficult. We were fortunate enough to be located next to the lagoon pool, which is only accessible by certain rooms and this was lovely to retreat to when it got too hot or busy around the main pool.

Everyone loved the breakfast buffet, although it did get quite busy on some days and we had to have breakfast at Senses rather than H20 on a couple of occasions. Basic coffee and tea is provided free (which we had) but you can get made to order drinks (latte, hot chocolate etc) for 25k.

There were plenty of beds by the main pool but there was a tendency to reserve beds early, so if you're after a day by the pool it is not the day to sleep in! Get beds on the left hand side if you want shade all day. The main pool is well serviced by staff if you want to order a drink and there is an ice-cream cart by the waterfall too. Drink and food prices are very reasonable, especially during happy hours (12-1 & 5-6). The only downside was there was a lot of smoking around the pool and from people with rooms located on the ground floor, which wasn't always nice for my family and I.

My kids aren't really Kids Club kids but they did join in a few of the water activities (volleyball, wet pillow contest, biggest splash) and made a couple of friends. There is plenty going on for kids that enjoy Kids Club.

Although located in Kuta, we did not encounter any loud noise from the street when trying to sleep or relax. It was a perfect location. There were two shopping centres (turn left for one and right for the other) and a wide range of restaurants as well as shops on the main street. Waterbom was a 5 minute walk away and Legian/Poppy's Lane could be reached in 15 mins.

Overall Bali Dynasty is probably a 4 rather than 5 star resort but offers great value for money in a sought after location.

We had a very late check-in and the staff were amazing, the room was awesome and there was even a special little folding drawing table, crayons and a colouring book for the kids which was so sweet. Beds were super comfy and the room was really clean and relaxing, the balcony was great overlooking the front driveway great for people watching and had little squirrels in the tree in the morning which the kids were super excited about and little bats at night. The pool and slides were great and the kids were on them until they closed daily, staff at the pool and breakfast were so accommodating and friendly. Recommend a good family stay, location was good and if you needed to go north the taxis were readily available and cheap.

2 adults + 1 child 12 yo. Stayed 6 nights in family room on ground floor next to pool.
The hotel is in good condition, rooms are fairly roomy and staff is really helpful.
Every day there are games, competitions or happenings by the mail pool. Good fun for entire family, but the noise level goes along.

Other than the main pool, there is a great kids pool with a great slide.

Also a chill out area for adult with built in daybeds in a small creek.

Playroom, Kids club, gym and a couple if stores as well. However dont shop in the small supermarket, they rip you off - things are like 4-5 times more expensive than in nearby mini markets.

3-4 restaurants on site.

The main having daily theme Buffets for dinner, ie Aussie BBQ, Bali night, Meditteranian night etc. We found the food quite bland, but in general enough of it and frequent refilling of the buffet.

Other than that a chinese resto and another a la carte that we did not use.

The hotel is great for families, caters in particular to Aussies and gets very busy, crowded and noisy at times. However trust that goes with the territory.

There are many facilities on a limited plot of land. At times it feels as if too many, as not much space for just being yrself or sitting in a quiet spot.

Our first trip to Bali and tbh a little apprehensive with some mixed reviews . However on arrival the room was ready within minutes of arrival and a relaxing welcome drink .

We were in the older family suites, room 825 which over looks the driveway. This turned out to be a great location as gardens are gorgeous, close to the shops, close to senses breakfast buffet , close to reception . It is a un renovated room but to be fair it was good, clean and serviced daily .

We couldn’t fault anything , everyone is awesome. Our main reason to go was kids club , and kids club was awesome. A brand new facility with brilliant staff that look after under 8s downstairs, and over 8s upstairs . Activities were wi detail and when swimming was to happen , although we watched as we had three kids in club, there was always plenty of staff that knew where all kids were . The water slide in the kids area btw is fantastic, our 4 year old loves it… and so did the adults !

Recreation staff were amazing .

Room attendants make creative towel designs daily, deliver bottled water daily, do a wonderful job .

All restaurants were exceptional good value fir a resort and competitively priced to outside competitors . Breakfast buffet was amazing and staff diligent to help offer gluten free options . There is always a buffet theme dinner daily which offers many selections and well worth attending . However on one occasion (Italian night) my daughter who is Coeliac experienced cross contamination and had an urgent toilet experience . Unfortunately the idea of being gluten free is still learning in process and caution is recommended . More gluten free options would be beneficial as it is tough on kids when you cannot have any deserts from the buffet as they all have gluten in them .

Massage and spa was affordable and excellent . This expanded to pool foot rubs that staff wonder around and will offer great value 50 minute massages while you relax on your pool chair .

The gym is clean and offers everything one may need for a holiday and kept very clean , much like all the grounds that are perfectly kept .

Shops and markets are located immediately outside the resort for souvenirs and to buy knock off basketball and football jerseys .

In summary yes without a doubt we will return , cannot wait actually ! The staff really make this holiday , great food, competitive prices , brilliant kids club . If management read this I applaud everything you currently offer and encourage the resort to keep up the current high standards and offerings.

Yes the front door has a clip over lock at the top of it (well it did in our room) The sliding door has a lock that has to be pushed up/down and it was quite hard to do that but not sure if it had anything else. I was on 1st floor and my balcony door would not lock at all. So be careful. 🙏🙏

What's the difference between interconnecting rooms and connecting rooms?
Answer from Ti J
Australia2 contributions
Traditionally, Interconnecting rooms have a door that connects two rooms from the inside of the rooms, and internal access door. That is pretty standard. I haven't booked under the term "connecting" rooms before, I could only guess they are connected by a wall (side by side) without the internal access door. This is the case for most if not all the rooms within each of the wings of the property, with the exception of the new suites and any rooms with additional interconnecting access. Send the Hotel an email, WhatsApp or Facebook Message they would be best placed to answer.
