We are staying at the Oberoi Beach Resort Seminyak for the last leg of our honeymoon (5th stop in Bali!). Our stay here has been incredible from the moment we arrived! We were greeted with such a warm welcome, and have been so impressed with all the wonderful and lovely staff here. The service is second to none - everyone has a huge smile on their face and nothing is too much trouble! The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained - there are so many thoughtful little touches by staff which make the experience of staying here extra special e.g. on our first night we were given a personalised teddy bear and our room was decorated with flowers and candles! When sitting by the pool, staff bring you a water and sun cream, bodyboards can be rented free of charge! The list is endless! The breakfast has been amazing! We are vegetarian and the restaurant team has adapted dishes to suit our dietary requirements! It’s an extensive breakfast menu with continental, American, Indonesian and Indian dishes! We would love to name everyone who has been kind and gone the extra mile for us… but we would end up listing their entire staff! Another wonderful holiday at The Oberoi, Bali, our home away from home. We lead busy lives and we try to get here every year for our regular Balinese recharge and it was our first destination choice when Australia’s border restrictions relaxed after the worst of the pandemic was over. The staff, led by John Halpin, anticipate your every desire. The property, designed by the great architect Peter Muller, is magical and is the essence of romantic, classic Bali. The place has been lovingly maintained and The Oberoi team clearly take pleasure in ensuring that Bali’s Grand Dame always looks her very best. Superb food, classic architecture and beautiful, well maintained gardens all combine for an unforgettable holiday on the Island of the Gods. This is our third trip to The Oberoi and we’ll be back many more times. We like the pool villas, but all the rooms give you access to the splendid gardens, pool, cafe and restaurant. A special mention goes out to the spa where we enjoyed a number of amazing treatments that had us walking on air afterwards! Apart from the setting and the architecture, what really sets The Oberoi apart is the extraordinary level of personalised and genuinely caring service that we always experience. We are welcomed back like honoured guests and the warmth is genuine and reciprocal. Particularly shout outs to Arie, Michelle and Enrico for making us feel so welcome. The oberoi beach resort is an amazing place to live in Semi tak. The staff is really hospitable, the resort is really clean and they have maintained the beach better than anyone else in the area. The food was delicious and overall the stay was a really good one.

We stayed one night and although the traditional buildings and gardens are lovely we thought the room was expensive and breakfast was very poor. It didn’t help that we had just spent 6 nights at The Lombok Lodge in Lombok which was outstanding in every way. Beautiful accommodation, great value for money including breakfast and dinner. Not sure we will ever find something as good.

This hotel is the most charming property I have ever stayed in in Bali. It commands an expansive view over the Bali sea/ surf- from sunrise to pink sunset. Classic Balinese heritage architecture - no high rise here. We stayed in a partial ocean view room Super comfortable bed and pillows ( there’s a pillow menu) Huge bathroom Beautifully spacious manicured gardens Incredible staff- everyone is so nice Make sure you get the daily breakfast included- it’s delicious; served in the outdoor Frangipani Cafe. We went to the Kura Kura restaurant twice- outstanding food and service-especially the seafood. The Chef personally comes and says hello to each table during our visits. The Gamelan ( like a traditional Balinese Xylophone) is played in the garden each night. On a warm breezy night I found this sound mesmerising. Visit the bar too for a pre (or post) dinner cocktail. I loved the Gin Moonlight. They recreated an English Garden Mojito we had elsewhere. So nice! The pool is lovely with the temperature is just right. We spent most of our day around the pool- compliments to the pool staff - constantly filling water glasses, complimentary fruit sticks and sun cream. The surf each has a little undertow and the waves do pound in at times so it was great to have advice from the life guard on duty about the best and safest times to take a sea swim. I really can not express how utterly wonderful the staff at this hotel are. The attention to detail and desire to make you happy are just faultless. Everyone from the reception, breakfast,restaurant, Enrico the executive chef, the spa, the room service team and many others are at the top of their game when it comes to customer service. Here are a few examples, I wasn't feeling great and needed some tummy filling comfort food so the chef personally made me some creamy pasta for my meal. I wanted to feed the fish in the ponds and they brought me a bowl of proper fish food, they supplied fresh milk for my coffee. The care taken to service my villa was outstanding, nothing was missed. Where to start.. From beginning to end the Oberoi 100% delivered. We have travelled all over the world and the service we received from the team at The Oberoi was the best we have ever experienced. Every want an need was anticipated. We were celebrating our honeymoon on this trip and they made us feel so special. We had a garden view pool room which was absolutely incredible. There was so much space and many areas to relax and enjoy the Bali weather. We loved the little touches,- the flowers, flip flops, beach bag, personalised teddy on the bed. The grounds of this hotel is what sets it apart from the rest of Seminyak. It is so spacious and are kept immaculate by the hard working staff. It’s like an Oasis from the hustle and bustle of outside. The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn’t enough for us. We ate at the hotel for breakfast and dinner both of which were superb. A mixture of Indonesian dishes as well as western. We loved that this hotel was traditional with elements all around the hotel that complimented this. Even details such as the traditional thatched roof. My husband unfortunately fell Ill during the trip. The staff we so caring and thoughtful and did everything they could to help. Absolutely loved our 3 nights stay. The a la carte breakfast was amazing- highly recommend ensuring you get the breakfast well worth the value- The pool is truely one of the most authentic pools in Bali right next to the beach in the garden shade. The only place to be to recharge and recuperate from the pandemic. Our last trip before Covid19 hit was also at the Oberoi and we had to cut the trip short to fly home before the lockdown. Since then we have sorely missed the place. It is so heartening to know from the manager and the staff that everyone at the Oberoi was kept on payroll during the past two years, and that everyone was and has been well. We returned to familiar faces who warmly welcomed us as before, and the two weeks has been nothing short of physical, emotional and spiritual rejuvenation that was much needed. From the walks along the beach, I could peek into other hotels and to me the Oberoi Bali has history and a mystic and healing beauty one cannot find elsewhere.
