We stayed at JW Marriot Mussoorie in June 2021. The resort is located at a short drive from the Mall road with well manicured gardens running through the resort. There are several exotic plants and trees within the resort. We stayed in a valley view room that offered mesmerising view of the hills. The rooms were very well maintained and beds were comfortable.
The hospitality is very good at the resort and each and everyone was very helpful right from Mr. Akash who helped us make the reservation, Ms. Rashi, Ms. Divya and Mr. Amit, Chef Sunil at the restaurant to Ms. Ritu who was the yoga instructor and attendant at the kids activity area. I can’t remember names of all the staff members but all of them were very helpful, polite and cordial. Mr. Amit took special care of our group with food as we travelled with kids. The breakfast buffet had a very wide spread of south Indian, North India and continental food. I would particularly like to mention about the variety of local north Indian vegetables prepared every day, which didn’t make us miss home food since we stayed there for a week. Also, Chef Sunil prepared amazing curd rice for us.
The Italian restaurant in the hotel serves amazing food.
The resort organises evening activities like tambola along with hi-tea. Some board games and outdoor games are also available at that time. They also arrange live singing at tea time, which makes the evening truly mesmerising. The resort also have indoor sports like Table tennis, carom, chess, bowling alley, etc (some of the things are chargeable). The resort also have an entertainment zone (again chargeable). There is a separate section where trampoline and bouncy is placed for kids. There is paintball, cricket and archery also available. All these activities were chargeable though.
In short, the resort is an enjoyable place for kids and adults alike.
Overall we had a great experience as this was the first outing after more than a year due to lockdown and COVID. I must applaud the resort for keeping it well maintained following all COVID protocols and ensuring safety of the guests.

An excellent property away from hustle n bustle of the main center of Mussorie with spacious rooms having a great view of mountains covered with snow , polite staff , elaborate breakfast spread with Executive Chef Simran Thapar always around you n suggesting a try at local mouth watering recipes. The restaurant Trout House Grill n Bar serving some excellent indian cusine has a limited capacity inside . For vegi lovers they have a elaborate menu n serves excellent food, right from starters to the main course. A must try out . The property is fairly well planned n quiet huge with around 115 keys . The only grey area where the hotel staff need to be well trained n equipped is to handle large no of guests at check in n as well as the restaurant . Our experience was that they meddle out things n on confrontation they are back on track .And the Same with the travel desk. All said n done a great place to relax n rejuvenate with family n friends.

Walnut Grove Resort is one of the best Marriott resorts in India. This is around 8 kms from the busy mall road, surrounded by beautiful hills and spread across acres of land. One day before arriving, we called the property for more than 6 times but got no response and then finally when we got in touch with the guest relations team, they were not at all informed about anything .I had few concerns about hygiene and sanitisation and they told me that they will ask their housekeeping team to get in touch with me, but never got a call back. Arrival was smooth but to my shock there was a wedding going on and nobody bothered to inform us while reservation.and most of the wedding group was not using any safety measures like masks and social distancing .and there was chaos all over the property. We are unable to use most of the hotels locations as they were booked by wedding guests. most of the hotel team is busy taking care of the wedding guest . We have had experienced so many good properties all over India including the Oberoi’s and Taj, and I must say the high tea doesn’t even meet any standards. There were no cutlery and plates available for us and instead given small paper plates, which was shocking to see especially in a property like this. Overall, it has been a totally unsatisfactory stay for all three families in our group staying in room no 503, 501, 505 and 507. Never ever going to visit here again.

Had an excellent vacation at JW Mussoorie. Was warmly greeted and assisted by Ms. Akanksha and Ms. Yogita during our arrival. Ms. Rashi at JW Cafe took care of our dining requirements for all three days very well. Housekeeping staff did a very nice job during our entire stay. Ms. Kezang and Ms. Preet were very helpful during the checkout, and went out of the way to arrange for plastic sheets to cover our bags. Amazing Hotel with excellent staff.

The checkin procees was made easy and smooth by Himanshu. Priyanka AND Akansha made our stay memorable by going a extra mile by giving us a room with a good view and a cake to celebrate our parents anniversary. The staff (Bapin Ankita...) at the restaurant took utmost care of all our needs. The housekeeping staff (Bipin) took care of all out needs may be a extra towel or just a small thing like Eno was presented without a delay in time. The food was delicious for which I would like to thank all the chefs at the Marriott. The staff at the restaurant made sure our plates were never empty by providing us whatever we asked for at our dinner table. Hospitality was excellent. I am stunned by the experience I had last weekend at the JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa. The hospitality level at this hotel is something else which you can definitely not find anywhere else in the word and i mean it. I should start by saying the location is one of the most prettiest sites and the service from the beginning (I mean the experience of just speaking to sales person) until I left the property was just fabulous. I would specifically like to point out 2 gentlemen of this hotel which I think are the best when it comes to being service oriented. The names were UDAY from sales and AYUSH from FnB. I cannot begin to explain how they treated me and my entire family during this trip. That is the personalized service I am talking about which you can only find in youngsters like these two. Well AYUSH was so kind, friendly and professional all at the same time. He remembered us by our names, recommended us the best of the best drinks and food, also remembered what I liked the day before. Man I really appreciate it!! These boys definitely deserve all the promotions and raises in the world just because they love their jobs and it shows in their work. I am an aggressive business traveler and love vacation spots every now and then with my family. Probably have traveled most of the countries but you really do not see the level of hospitality provided here at the JW Marriott Mussorie. The rooms are over looking beautiful valley and the beds are so comfortable that it was just a heavenly feeling which cannot be described but felt. The food and beverage as mentioned before makes me want to say this is one of the best hotels I have ever been to (I've been to thousands around the world).
I wanted to add a beautiful incident which made me come and add this review.
As I arrived back at the hotel the next day and walked into the restaurant after a long day, Ayush looked up and said, “Good evening, Mr. Gupta. Welcome back.” I about fell over. It was such a simple gesture, but so impressive. And especially with a pretty busy weekend and many guests to manage. He hadn’t seen me in 24 hours, and yet knew my name. It was unexpected, classy and personal customer service you never see in this day and age.
Anyway, I hope you know how fortunate you are to have Ayush and Uday as your employees. Their above and beyond customer service ethic should be a model for Marriott. I hope they are training your other employees and would highly recommend him to Marriott International as a model of what it really means to be exceptional. If there is a way I can nominate them for recognition of his exceptional service by Marriott I would be happy to do so.
I will be back soon!

We spent three days in JW Marriot . Hospitality of the hotel was remarkable. It was a memorable trip. All the staff members especially Ms Rashi and Sunil were too good. I was super impressed with all the facilities JW provided for our engagement party from Proper hygiene , santisation available at all entries. In fact they even checked temperature of our guests at all entries. Their staff were wearing proper PPE kit while serving food.Not only this, even the Senior management was present all throughout the event educating all of us about social distancing. Overall it was a perfect destination with an amazing view and all the sanitisation and safety measures.

The property has beautiful views of the hills and the rooms are kept sparkling clean, with seamless service and excellent standards (even for a five star hotel in the mountains). All Covid protocols including masks and distancing were followed. The food is quite good. We went for the buffet at their multi-cuisine cafe , as it seemed better value for money and offered a range of choices. Garhwali food was an added attraction. We were very well looked after. The only thing to be kept in mind at the moment is that Covid negative test reports are required for entering Uttarakhand , else tests are conducted at the state border. We wish the hotel had informed us about it. The bowling alley was a very pleasant surprise. There are a lot of leisure activities for children. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay here .

The Property is the least of your concerns its super cosy and before booking you can speak to Kesahv in the property if not Miss Neha they will go all out to help, winter is the Coldest Month in and Around Mussoorie, the whole place turns into a Winter Fairytale Land, does generally snow @ then but thats the beauty, rather if it snows your problem will be getting in and out of Mussoorie, and also there is so much in the property that you wont need to step out of the same (the activity team will give you unteem options from cosy picnics by the river with Maggi, to treks etc etc), amazing options for kids of all ages as well, in the play area they even have a super cosy room for kids to rest and sleep in case you are using the gym, pool etc. also my other concern is you are planning for @ the extended weekend for republican day which is doomed to be chaos to get in and out of the property, the recent articles during Christmas for all hill stations are testimony to it. If you still intend to, get in a day earlier and save your self from the traffic chaos..
Thr is no such seperate lounge but you can avail business centre for your work.
Common Lounge area is for all resident guests.
Overall its a unique experience.
There are more places to choose from in the Mussoorie area.
