Went for one night stay with my husband. The place has got amazing interiors. The heritage of the place has been well maintained. Nice property at an amazing location. Food quality is very good. Service is ok. Rooms were average, not worth the price.

Great place to stay. We were there for the long weekend and didn't feel the need to go to Mussorie even once. In fact it was so great to be away from the hustle and bustle of Mall Road and the hordes of tourists. They opened up the chimney and started the fireplace just for us. The rooms were nice...

We just got back from a stay at Rokeby Manor this week. The Good: Rustic, old world charm with some of the best views in all of Mussourie. Has an excellent restaurant with a wide variety and very tasty food, a good old fashioned pub within walking distance and a bakery a 10-minute walk away with really tasty cakes, tea...

Tom yum soup.. Pita and falafal.. Chicken lasagne were outstanding.. Apart from food if you opt for open sitting, the amazing views and weather will...

the place is one of the best to stay and relax. The log cabin ( which has 3 bedrooms and dining space and kitchen) is like a home away from home. Had butler Mr. Chinthamani who was very nice and used to make excellent tea for us! The food was also very good. Best place to relax!

Rokeby translates into complete luxury and exorbitance right in between the lush mighty hills of Mussoorie, well Landour to be specific. The property is humongous, divided into various sections to make it convenient for the guests. The rooms are majestic and extremely royal but yes all of this comes at a very high cost, which is okay to spend once...

Whilst the rooms have a beautiful view of the green hills, the food is amazing. The serving staff impeccable. The blower in the bathroom made it very comfortable. However, the geyser system provides limited hot water, which could be improved. The live log fire in the lounge was awesome.

Rokeby Manor boasts of authentic English architecture, wooden ceiling and floors, cozy furnishings, tasteful rooms and fabulous views of the valley and rolling hills. Service is good, rooms are very comfortable, the room heater works amazingly well. The food is superb. We were blessed with a whole day of snow and picture postcard views outside. We (3 ladies) had the...

This is certainly the best places to stay in Mussoorie by location. A heritage property which preserves the grandeur of the British Raj was built in 1840. The food and service was good especially their bakery. Be sure to carry a stick while walking around Landour Cantt. to tackle monkeys. I recommend this property on merits.

We stayed in Rokeby Manor and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a luxury stay experience with stunning views of Mussoorie, the Doon valley and all the mountains beyond! The staff is very helpful, the rooms are well appointed and well maintained and the restaurant- Emily's- serves a nice range of delicious food.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rokeby was built in 1840 by Captain G.N. Cauthy and is one of the landmarks of Landour. The house and two acre estate are situated slightly above and to the east of St. Paul's Church and the old cantonment parade ground, which is now Char Dukan. Like many houses in Mussoorie, its name is taken from the writings of Sir Walter Scott, whose book-length poem describes heroic battles near the original Rokeby Castle in England. Methodist missionaries continued to operate the property as a guest house throughout the rest of the 20th century. Today, Rokeby has been carefully restored to its original glory. This heritage building is resplendent with character in its elaborate brick arches and niches, intricate stone walls, real wood floors and beams, and cosy fireplaces. Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, the traditions of bygone years – where colonial officers, renegade soldiers of fortune and pious miss saibs lived under one roof – can still be felt. An air of mystery beckons visitors. ... more   less
