Would have given it -1 star had it been an option. Highly unprofessional attitude of the staffs and hotel management. Firstly, it was clearly mentioned while booking the room online that the room accommodated 4 guests and while booking also I clearly mentioned that we were 3 guests to check in and also confirmed the same with the hotel reception while checking in to which they had no issues then. But at night when we asked for extra quilt and mattress they simply denied us the service saying that we don't have booking for 3 guests and they wont be able to provide anything for the third guest which is so not true. What's worse is that is that they were shameless enough to ask us extra money at checkout for the third guest even after denying any service for the same saying that they gave us a bigger room which which not the case and their staffs mislead us during check-in by saying we don't have to pay for the room as the entire amount was paid online. Secondly, they even asked us to pay for the heater during checkout, that too in cash and not giving the invoice for the same, which at the time of online reservation and payment clearly mentioned that this cost is included in the tariff for the room. Lastly, if you planning a trip with your family to spend some time in silence and serenity of mountains away from the hustle bustle of the city then avoid this place because they don't abide by the policy of prohibiting guests from consuming alcohol in common area which is adjacent to the room along with extremely loud music even after 10pm, both of which is illegal and at times unpleasant. The food is also most average here but that depends on one's liking so won't comment much on this. Another issue which I faced is with the approach road but that is the case with most of the hotels in Camels Back rd. but what could be a concern for some is non- availability of proper parking space due to which you will have to handover keys for your car to them while check in. Long story short, if want to have a pleasant stay especially with your family then stay away from this place because once you have paid and checked in with them the hotel management starts taking you for granted and then for them it's either my way or the highway and there is nothing much you can do as these people are native locals and one would surely like avoid getting into anything messy with family.

I am writing here to complain to you about the services and facilities offered to us while we were staying at your property Hotel Seven Oaks, Mussoorie on 26th September 2020 for two nights. I booked it for two night but had to leave it early because of the worst services provided to us. My booking reference number is Booking.com reservation confirmation 3379166895 - Hotel Seven Oaks, Mussoorie. The problem started at the entry point of this hotel i.e. called Reception. There was no security measures while we entered the hotel. No sanitizers, no mask etc. Everything was looking devastated there and after asking to some people working there, we got to know that hotel started operations just on the same day and it was not in operations for a long time because of Lockdown by Government. I booked a standard room but that room was smelling due to moisture in the air and on the walls of that room without sunlight. The room was very dirty and we requested to Manager for changing our room. I hope due to this Lockdown, the property was not in operations. The Manager (perhaps owner) asked me that if it would be available, he will arrange me a different room but I have to pay more money for that. I said yes but he took much time for changing that as hotel was overbooked. However, when I stayed there I found that rooms were available. My question raised that how the room can smell, if this property is 4 star. Second, if this is a mistake of Hotel then why should I get penalized for this? When I gave my card to the Manager (or owner) – his words were, “there is no need for this card sir. If rooms would be available, I shall try my best to arrange that for you.” He didn’t even see my card and it was looking like insulting that he is not even interested that who is staying with them but he just needs money. I was not in a condition of argument because I spent a long time to reach there as I travelled by car from Delhi after doing night shift. I was just expecting a suitable place to relax. I was staying at Hotel Seven Oaks, a 4 star property (as mentioned on your website) so that we can at-least relax properly. I think it was one of the biggest mistakes of my life to choose this hotel because several other options were also available but I thought it is a 4 star property with better facility in front of others. Second, the Television was not working and it was informed to us that TV will get repaired soon. However, when I left 20:30 hrs on 27th September, it was still the same and there was no hope for getting it repaired. I think it was also into Lockdown for the last 6 months and was not necessary for this hotel to get it repaired. Television is a basic need for people like us, so that we could have something for passing our time. Anyway, this might be their tactics to kick out their guests before time! This properly was under-construction and there were huge notice while I was trying to sleep. I hope after 7-8 hours of driving, I can at-least expect a good place to get relaxed. Noisy – I found that this properly is best for families. There were three families staying together there and their children were playing outside our room. I can understand that they are kids and they will make noise but cannot understand how this properly is writing they rooms or property is quiet and peaceful. Food – It was completely tasteless and we had to wait a long time to get this food. It was my worst dinner which I had there. However, it was very expensive and outside food was not allowed into that hotel. I cannot expect 200 rupees for 2 sliced sandwich or 75 rupees for a cup of coffee. I believe it would be better if they can give taste to their guests so that they should not think that they have wasted their money for this kind of food and taste. Security – dozens of monkeys were roaming outside our room (balcony) and we didn’t find other option except to close the door. I tried to open the door once and found two monkeys were just sitting outside and attacked for food on us. There is no ample parking space and they parked my card near power backup generator which was not even risky but not a good place to park the car. Parking space was not enough to park cars because cars were parked inappropriately there. There were dozens of other complaints which we faced there and I am assuring that none of our customers, team-members and me will stay with this Seven Oaks Hotel, Mussoorie. I shall pass on this information and reviews to all of our known and relatives too. Last, the housekeeping staff was very courteous, and decent but facilities were worst. I am sorry but the Manager (owner) was not even courteous. I am also working for service industry and handled about 50000 customers during this Lockdown. Therefore, I know what a passenger/ customer can expect while he/she is paying just for relaxation.
