We spent three nights in this hotel after coming back from another destination Kanatal. And then I wondered, why didn't I spend all the five nights in Hotel Pacific only.
It is a lovely property within the backyards of Mountains and greenery. Tastefully built. Rooms are comfortable, good in size, and good furniture. We all had a lovely view of the lush greenery and hills right out of our huge glass windows. I would often sit near the window, having a cup of tea in my hand and get absorbed in the serenity of the nature. Bathroom was a little small as per the regular standard, but had good towels and toiletries. An electric kettle and tea coffee sachets were available. The staff is cordial and helpful. House keeping can improve and needs attention. I can understand, in the peak season it sometimes is difficult, but that needs to be taken care of in such a beautiful property. Food is good but has a scope of improvement. They had very very limited options for desserts. Ice-cream in one flavor only, is not good option for a holiday traveler. I think they know that mostly people go out to the mall road and eat there, since they are on a vacation. But, that can't be an excuse . Those are the risks of the game. At least, another chocolate flavor/ or some other option is necessary.
Hotel is a little away ( 5/7 minutes drive), from the Famous Mall Road. Since taxis are not allowed on the road leading to the hotel. Hence the hotel has a good service of pick and drops. Hotel also has a small parking area for private car owners. A nice cozy reception area is always a plus after the journey.
I have promised the hotel staff, that I will go back again to the same property, and I certainty will, God willing. Overall, my stay was comfortable and peaceful. Must visit.

The location of the Hotel is on Camel's Back Road, which actually has a better view of valley and hillside than the Mall Road. Ice-capped mountains were visible from my room itself. Staff are very courteous and helpful. Mall Road is not too far from the hotel. Overall the stay was very good. The only issue is the road reaching to the hotel, which was narrow, also blocked by cars parked on one side of the road.

Our stay at this hotel began on a challenging note due to its location within the city limits, which unfortunately made it inaccessible to outstation cabs. We had a discouraging experience, as we had to lug our luggage for 300 meters before reaching the hotel's transport. The initial room we were allocated had severe flooring issues, prompting us to request a room change. Fortunately, the second room met our expectations and was well-kept upon our arrival.
Regrettably, our expectations for a breakfast buffet were not met during our stay. Instead, we had to place orders for specific items like cheese omelets, parathas, puris, and sabji, with no other options available, not even desserts or pastries. This limited selection was particularly inconvenient as the breakfast was prepared upon ordering, causing delays that affected our planned city tour.
Another letdown was the absence of an in-house laundry service. Despite repeated requests made from outside sources, we received no response, leaving us with no choice but to abandon hope for this facility. Furthermore, the standard of room service was found to be average, failing to meet our expectations.
One positive aspect of our stay was the shuttle service provided to Mall Road, which significantly facilitated our travel, considering the hotel's location on a narrow access road outside the city center. However, it is worth noting that the reception staff lacked a warm greeting or a friendly smile, thus setting a tone of minimal expectations for any additional assistance during our stay. In summary, while this hotel might suit those on a strict budget, it is advisable to consider other options, especially for travelers arriving via outstation registered cabs. Additionally, the breakfast service, commencing only after 8.15 am, may not be conducive for guests with early departure plans.

Pacific Hotel is located at the camel hump road, walking distance from Mall Road but please do not be misguided.
They charge whooping 4 star rates but is an average property. Pacific holds a big name in Dehradun - with the same expectation I booked 3 rooms in this property. One of the rooms was the corner room and was full of dirt. I do not know when was the last time it was actually cleaned. After making several request we got a better and honestly a cleaner room as compared to the last one. But they need maintenance.
There are 3-4 people who are managing the entire property and in case you need a bedding changed or a mop done in your room again in a single day - the answer is NO. The room are made up only once and they are not adjusting to that unless you literally request twice or thrice.
Food spread over buffet is average and it has all the necessary options. They are not happy in case you ask them for a fresh cup of tea and not which is already there in the Thermos.
If you are paying for an average price then it’s good but dnt take any high hopes

No open terrace, no balcony, no kids area. Food was poor and tasteless (morning buffet). Fan issue reported to reception but not solved in 4 days. Bathroom area for premium room is small. Room charges are levied very much high for such ordinary room and services that they offered.

Very bad location in terms of accessibility, specially if you are driving you own car and you have a habit of driving in plains and not in mountains. Very narrow road to reach the hotel and no branding at all to guide you the location. Specially after 4 PM you can't reach the hotel as the entry to the Mall road gets closed. TIP: Don't depend on the Google map to reach this hotel. The hotel and the rooms need a makeover and renovation badly. Hotel is in a very bad condition specially the front desk. It does not match with your expectation at all if you select this hotel by looking at the pictures on the internet. Overpriced in terms of per night rate. The food quality is third class as compared to the pricing. Their food prices are of a 5 star hotel but the quality is of a road side dhaba. They have hired a local dhaba cook which they call Chef...who will prepare food with whatever resources he have. Only good thing is the balcony with the rooms on lower floor which offers a serene view in the lap of nature. But be aware of the monkeys at this hotel. Overall a hotel which needs urgent renovation to match the expectation considering the brand value.

Simply wastage of money. My experience In the hotel is just zero. The front desk reception member Mr Mukesh is such kind of person who don’t even know to smile. Guests are coming to their hotel and they don’t even bother to ask for a seat or for a glass of water. They also don’t know that the basic of requirement of hotel management is to serve their guest with smile. Location The location of the hotel is approximately 3.5 km away from Mall Road. If u r planning to book your stay then remember that there is no entry for any vehicle in Mall Road in between 4 to 10:30 pm and after 10:30 pm when the Trafic will be opened it is jam packed. It took me 1:40 minutes to reach back to my hotel. Although the hotel management had drivers for pick up and drop for their guest but they are also having limited drivers and in case the property is packed then don’t expect anything else from their side Management They also lack basic management for car parking During my stay on third day I decided to go to Lal Tibba in my own vehicle but the management took three hours to get my vehicle out from the parking. The reception desk in the evening comprising of a new inductee Mr Vikas is so good and best person in their team who knows how to greet their customers by just passing a smile and asking the guests about their schedule or visit. It’s a long list of issues with this hotel : I stayed in room 106 on 06 June 2022. 1. Pathetic service and most rude staff I have come across.. The first name to mention Mr. Shubham and Mr. Vishal. Mr. Vishal takes care of the hotel..very very rude and on making complaint for breakfast, he literally asked me to check out from the hotel instead of giving a solution. 2. The worst breakfast I ever had. They are charging 500 INR per Person for the attached photos. Raw vadas, watery sambhar..pathetic sugary juice. 3. There were like worms and bed worms inside the bed..Attached photos. I have being associated with travel Industry for last 10 years. Trust this is the most pathetic hotel I have come across. It was actually a harrasment caused for breakfast today. 4. Lot of noise in the room from outside. Pathetic WiFi. Don’t even worth 1000 INR PER NIGHT. My simple recommendation don’t waste your money. I asked for breakfast change , Mr. Vishal instead of giving a solution said I am the only guest having an issue.

It is always our endeavour that every guest leaves with pleasant memories of their stay at our hotel and it is unfortunate that we were not able to make your stay comfortable. Despite knowing that the hotel's check-in time was 2 PM, you reached the hotel at 9 AM and expected an immediate check-in. When this was politely declined by the Front Desk stating that rooms are not ready, you were not ready to accept no for an answer. In terms of the breakfast service, while there may have been some issues with certain dishes that you did not like, we were more than ready to replace those items with fresh items and even offered that if you do not want anything from the buffet you can order from the a' la carte menu without any additional charges. As a member of the travel fraternity, it would have been courteous of you to inform us in advance so that we could have been better prepared for your arrival. Knowing fully well that we are in the middle of a busy season, some amount of understanding on your part would have been expected as we are working in the same industry and support each other. Do not fall for the name “Country Inn” this is not matching any standard of a 4 Star property, Small property with small rooms less amenities bad washrooms, staff not supportive bad experiences. Bad location, far from Mall Road, pathetic shuttle service, poor parking, front desk has no respect for guest’s time. Only good thing is the food and banquet staff specially Ravi & Simon who made extra effort to ensure that guests have good experience. Else not recommend at all.

The mall road is open all days from 9am to 9pm.
The Mall road is closed to traffic from morning (approx 8-9 am) to evening (9-10pm). Only Private vehicles can enter by paying an entry fee of Rs 150 per vehicle. Options for travelling on Mall road is cycle rickshaw (price is quite high) or just by walking with your luggage on this scenic road.
Yes there is a slope, but the car goes down till the reception area. They have lift in hotel, so its very easy to access. You can go ahead with this hotel :)
There are more places to choose from in the Mussoorie area.
