The Brigadiers Cottage - Your Boutique Homestay - is located at a five minutes' walk from the famous Kempty falls and the Kempty bazaar , The cottage is completely surrounded in a thick wooded area ,and the gurgling sound of the brook flowing below . The brigadier's cottage - Your Boutique Homestay - is owned by a family whose history is steeped in the Army and so the cottage was designed to be a manor of our father , a retired Brigadier with a huge lounge, complete with a fireplace and huge scenic picture widows where one can spend time curled up with a good book from our well stocked library , sipping great English tea, sit around the fire place with family and friends, mull over the chess board or other indoor games or simply gaze at nature. Each of the rooms and suites overlook the valley and you get up in the morning to the chirping of the birds and gurgling sound of the brook flowing nearby, those with religious inclinations, can take to meditation and yoga in the temple located within the estate, listening to soft Indian ragas playing in the background as you take in your dose of unpolluted, clean, fresh and crisp mountain air.The terrace offers a 360 degree panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges and the forests, the windows allowing for the sunlight to filter in while you cosy up for the day besides your own personal sigri . The barbecue and bon fire areas allow for one to sit by the fire under the starry sky to grill the food of your choice while you spend your time mulling over your drink with family and friends .

Our family (8 people) went to Mussoori for a break. And what a break it was!! We were treated as royalties at the Brigadier's Cottage, not only by the hosts Neetu & Aseem, but also by their staff. Awesome rooms, sumptuous food.. and what a view!! Breathtaking. We wished we had more time just to experience the hospitality a bit more.

Property's Favourite Review
A beautiful property, lovely location - just beside Kempti falls, lovely rooms which are HUGE, sumptuous food, huge beds, lovely view from the rooms, well behaved staff members.... and two super lovely hosts....Aseem and Neetu and their lovely daughter. It was such a wonderful experience staying at the property.......I still miss my morning tea, seated at the verandah on comfortable cane chairs, birds singing, blue sky with the Shiwalik ranges in front.......HEAVEN.......Aseem is such a gentleman.... he went out of his way and arranged a meeting with the Great Author Mr. Ruskin Bond in Landour at his house.........incredible experience.......no words to express how excited my daughter was when she saw her dream author in front of her eyes........I will be ever grateful to Aseem and Neetu for that lovely gesture. And there was this staff team, Raju, Manish, Sharad, and another lady who took turns to enquire about our lunch and dinner menu.......gained a whopping 3 kgs in 6 days...... I will recommend this property to everyone and anyone who wants to spend some real quality time in the hills.........BRIGADIER'S COTTAGE IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BESTEST CHOICE...........

We stayed for 5 nights in july 2022. Firstly i have have to mention that Assem is a fantastic host. We unfortunately missed meeting his wife Neetu. The room was perfect with water/kettle/coffeemaker and a lovely huge balcony. The balcony was the highlight of our trip where we spend hours just looking at the mountains, reading, sipping coffee and having the lovely popcorn they made for us The staff is great. They went way beyond their duty to customize the food ( less oil, healthy and local ingredients) and made our daily breakfast and dinner really enjoyable. Everything from the time of serving food, to making sure we had an umbrella when we left to go for a walk, to stopping us from getting overcharged by the taxi service, to making sure to visited the right places was taken care of. Assem thanks for the lovely long chats exchanging our life experiences every night. We went as guests and left as friends. Cant wait to visit you again very soon

Found this hidden gem in a hurry and now I thank to everyone / every factor which made me to select this place for our stay. Aseem, Neetu and there daughter are wonderful hosts. we have stayed at various places across Globe (I travel a lot across countries.) but rarely we got such lively hosts. During entire duration of our stay we felt about this place as Home unlike homestay / resort / hotel. Great hospitality, Quick Service, Homely Tasty Food, Adorable pets, Responsive & friendly staff. Location - It is very near to Kempty Falls which makes it great choice to stay if you are looking to stay near by. You get amazing view of hills from your room balcony or even the terrace. The views are just fantastic. I spent time reading book over terrace / balcony while enjoying views n sipping coffee. Even just sitting outside in terrace area or reading books sitting in breakfast area makes you feel rejuvenated, soothing. Rooms - Swanky clean rooms, lovely interiors, you get what you need when you want to relax in lap of nature. Just perfect. I liked the bathroom a lot in person. It gives you splendid feeling, great experience and relax feeling. Food - They provide very good food in breakfast n dinner. We didn't had lunch there but breakfast and dinner was simply satisfying soulful food. Its like you are eating at your home with your people around. Being in summer we had Buraans ka sharbat many times. Amazing taste. We got our breakfast parcel in order to catch flight and it was fulfilling, yummy sumptuous. I still remember the flavor our alu parathas and cold coffee / hot coffee. Service - There staff is prompt, friendly and caring. The property is located in hill section so some people find it difficult to drive there vehicles down. Staff from this property makes it super easy. Also when you have any request associated with your stay / food / ask, they are quick, attentive. Booking the cottage was also breeze. We spoke to Aseem / Neetu and within few moments, we got what we required to book. Also Aseem helped us to get contacts of cab drivers / local places to roam around / people in around. It was very helpful in terms of experience and cost as well. Stay - Aseem & Neetu ensure you get the best of experience when you are there. Also they introduce you to other guests in such a way that you enjoy your stay even more. A commendable experience we had here. We had great time with the pets in property - Cat / Dogs / Geys / Chicken / Cows etc. You will feel like homely experience amidst hills. Even when you check out and move towards your next destination, they do a tika which makes it even more homely. In short, I recommend this property to my family members, friends, people in my circle to stay in Mussoorie. Do reach out to Aseem / Neetu and trust me, you will have a great experience.

I am reposting my review of the Brigadiers Cottage, Mussoorie which was posted couple of weeks back but somehow got lost when i tried to make a small correction. Anyway the fact that i am making this effort of rewriting this review ALL OVER AGAIN is a testimony to how much we loved our experience. Looking for a pet friendly homestay, far away from crowded main Mussoorie town we booked BC after checking out the reviews on TA. With absolutely serene surroundings and far from the din, we found an absolutely beautiful homestay and came back with memories of a lifetime. Location: 5/5 Just about 20 mins from The Mall, off Kempty Falls. Accommodation: 5/5 Well appointed' large luxury bedrooms with a HUGE balcony, best i have seen in a homestay. Nice terrace with a great view. Food: 5/5The best ever in the hills. Each day was a new gastronomic adventure. Nepali Thali, Barbeque, North Indian, Continental - naming just a few meals we had!! Staff: 5/5 Led by the omnipresent Shakti who is always at you beck and call, extremely courteous & ready to make your experience spectacular Things to Do - We were there to unwind but discovered Sanji Village, Lori's Cafe, picnic on banks of Yamuna which was all a bonus The owner couple Aseem & Neetu are great hosts and amazing company. They treated us like their personal guests. Cant wait to head back!!!

The Brigadiers cottage is one of the best homestays we have stayed at. Beautiful property with comfortable rooms and lovely views. The best part is the warm hospitality by Neetu and Aseem who make you feel at home. They went above and beyond to take care of my husband's dietary restrictions and ensured all guests interact with each other and have a pleasant time in Mussorie. Definitely going back :)

Dear Priya, It was wonderful having Akshat and You over. We are glad we were able to accommodate Akshats requirement of a Jain and Vegan diet . Though challenging it was also a learning for us and Akshat being so non fussy really helped. Well we do look forward to your return.. BB is doing fine too... Personal Regards, Neetu and Aseem Varma

We were looking for a short break towards the end of December, which was also to be our Pet’s first vacation. Needless to say, the search for a pet friendly place took a long time, but took us eventually to Brigadier’s Cottage and boy, are we glad it did! Neetu and Aseem made us feel immediately at home and were the most gracious hosts ever. If I may say, their hospitality is the USP of this place. As is the beautiful view and tastefully done up rooms. It was a wonderful 3 day stay at Brigadier’s Cottage and we will be back for more, for sure. Coming back was like coming away from a relative’s home, in the holidays. We went their as guests but came back as family!
