Rio Resort was created with the concept of urban luxury merging with nature, perhaps the ideal Green Vacation spot would be this. The good times at the resort in the evening start with the dramatic moonlit sky and the river flowing by. The sound of the river water playing on the rocks by your side, while you sip on your glass of Red Wine, can you imagine what that would feel like? Perhaps imagining is not enough, visit Rio Resort, our River Scene Resort to experience such delight with nature.

Resort location and outdoor lawn and tree cover is nice Appearence of a descent resort to chill. But when it comes to rooms and room service, they are highly unprofessional. Gives vibe of 1 star hotel. No dress code, no professional conduct, no Attequetes to attend the guests. Rooms are just average acc to price- No Tv, no fridge. Bathrooms are also old and cleaned for namesake. Room service is very bad. Food is just average and free breakfast is just below average. Only good thing is good green cover, open area, backside river and walking distance from gucchupani. They really need some professional trained staff and management team to make this place better. Should also work on cleaning the riverside area.

We stayed in Rio Resorts with family in June for 1 Day. As I was already cautioned by all the online negative reviews and false claims by this property....So, no surprises for me there. Best thing about this property is its location. Surrounded with lush greenery, flowing river sideby and walking distance to Robber's cave. Also, limited rooms in foam of individual cottages is quiet pleasing. Biggest let down was its pathetic room service. Very limited staff to manage its fully booked resort. Even basic amenities like telephone for room service, TV, Electric cattle etc were missing from the room. We took AP plan (Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast). Even after charging handsomely for it. The food items that were offered were very few and can't be termed as buffet! I recommend this property only if you are getting good deal through online site or offline. Otherwise, the actual tariff is very high and not worth of its money.

Rio resort is located off-Dehradun main city and has a decent approach road leading to the resort. The entrance of the resort was beautifully landscaped and we felt right at home the day we arrived. The resort has different accommodation options like Yurt tents, Mud houses and regular deluxe rooms. We opted for a regular room that was equipped with almost all modern amenities. There is no TV in the rooms, but its ok if we you are going for a short trip. Since it was our anniversary weekend, we just wanted to spend time with each other rather than moving around the city. We were surprised to enjoy a hot breakfast on the river, flowing near Rio resort. The highlight of the day was a lovely candle light dinner to complete our anniversary evening. A beautiful gift by my husband, we enjoyed our stay at Rio Resort Dehradun completely. The staff was really good and polite to our requests.

A perfect place just outside the city, greenery, neat. Staffs were very helpful. We were around 30 people and they handled us all very well with no complaint from us. Food as yummy. The riverside breakfast was awesome. Overall very good :-) Robber's Cave was walking distance from here.
