Beautiful property tucked in the hills of Dehradun, while the view and property has been excellently maintained, the food and service was quite average and expensive too. Apart from the fixed menu only a few snacks were available to order limiting your food options. They need to get better at this to attract more guests! The place gives enough privacy to your own group, the terrace and the porch area can be enjoyed for dinners and evening meals.
Shaheen Bagh exceeded our expectations in all aspects, whether it was Food, Comfort or Hospitality.Rooms are beautiful & very aesthetically done up .... The owners & staff were amazing & a delight to interact with. They made sure our stay was comfortable and pleasent. Since we were a group of 13 they gave us a common room with fire place for our evening get togethers. Would highly recommend this place.
Great location and energies were superb. Very peaceful and well maintained. it was a wonderful mixture of Simplicity and beauty. Staff was amazing and helpful. One guy in black dress was so helpful.
BEAUTIFUL and WELCOMING!!!! The view and the vibe couldn’t match with anything. The People, food and the nature were everything you could ever ask for. The rooms were too pretty and It felt like my second home
Beautiful and very well maintained property with great service by their staff. Their hospitality was top notch. All their efforts made it a memorable stay for us. Will definitely visit the place again n again.
Lush greenery and chirping birds surrounded me as I started my day at the tranquil Shaheen Bagh resort. All the pictures of birds and vegetation decorated on the walls of the resort have been personally clicked by Arun (owner) himself. My room was the parakeet room and was beautifully decorated in Parakeet colours. Food was light and deliciously made. A trip to the stream nearby is a must do. It was like home away from home. A cozy, warm and pleasant experience. Thank you Arun & Sandhya, Sushil and team for making us feel welcomed.
Was absolutely delighted with the place as well as the people...from Sandhyaji to Arunji to each and every member of the staff we interacted with...they went all out to ensure we had an amazing time in Dehradun
Good property. Being a resort obviously a bit far from the main dehradun city. No room service from 10 pm till 6am. Just wondering if someone has something urgent then how will he manage? I stayed with my family. Overall a good experience but not worth paying 15k per night. Anything around 10k is worth it.
It’s a beautiful property, no doubt but the place is screaming for some maintenance, basic hygiene and also training to its staff, starting from the Manager Mr. Negi. THE ROOM: We were shocked to see the 15k/night room was shabby, dusty, cobwebs, etc. It was not worth the tariff and requested to see some other room. Everything is run on an adhoc basis. After shifting, we were told that while the category of the room was of a lower category, the tariff was of the higher category! How absurd. Later, the owner got the rate down as per the category. But again, the room was not even cleaned after the last guest left! It was smelly, the kettle had a strand of hair stuck in it, water bottle had water left by an earlier guest. Bathroom was filthy. Unfortunately, we noticed all this only at night after dinner. THE FOOD: Food was terrible. Chicken Kali Mirch was a creamy, gooey, yellow glob like thing. Chicken noodles had hard, dry, fried chicken dunked on noodles. Breakfast had a lot of items but quite frankly, nothing tasted good after a horrible experience in the room night before. THE MANAGER: The Manager was completely clueless when I told him that if you did a direct booking, which we did, we are entitled to a 10% discount on F&B. The next day when we complained about the unkempt room, he immediately insisted on showing us different rooms. We were the only guest in that entire godforsaken place, couldn’t he have shown a better place the day before?? THE OWNER: The lady owner finally showed up after we had an issue with the billing and she simply asked us why we did not check the room before shifting? Quite apparently, it is not the Manager's job in Shaheen Bagh to make the room ready before guests move in.…
We spent 4 days in total bliss and comfort at Shaheen Bagh. My sister is visually impaired and no words would suffice to express the care and concern exhibited by everyone on the premises. Thanks to their thoughtfulness, she was able to access most of the property independently and enjoy it thoroughly. Even though it rained heavily most of the time, the sunshine on the staff’s faces and attitudes made our trip memorable. Shaheen Bagh is an ideal place to visit for those wishing to experience a truly unique holiday. Kudos to Sandhya and Arun and their absolutely wonderful staff!
