A perfect place situated in the hills with some breathtaking views of the mountains. We had booked shaheen bagh for my daughter's wedding from 3rd till 6th of Dec. Since the time we arrived everything was taken care of. The rooms were beautiful the service incredible the staff was the most friendliest. The owners of the resort Mr arunji and sandhyaji went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The food was delicious with a huge variety. Overall we had an excellent stay. All our friends and family loved the resort and the services provided by them. I would highly recommend everyone to visit the resort.

We visited Shaheen Bagh from Delhi as a getaway after the Covid19 lockdown, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Ahead of the trip, management responded to all our queries swiftly and fully, including advice on Covid precautions and restrictions. Our room was spacious, furnished with taste (our only recommendation would be to forego the sanitary cubes in the bathroom sink), and surrounded by greenery. The magnificent garden is meticulously kept and provides a nesting ground for scores of local birds and butterflies. Theirs are the only sounds that punctuate the tranquillity of the place, as you rest on the private terrace or by the pool. The food, while perhaps a little pricey, is delicious, including Garwhali dishes and South Indian specialties. We also greatly enjoyed two walks through the beauties of the lower Himalayan vicinity with our guide Shashank. Throughout the owners were attentive but unobtrusive. Highly recommended.

We were celebrating a short break with our Parents and decided to stay at this boutique resort called Shaheen Bagh. The resort is brilliantly located amidst a forested area and it’s 17 Rooms, Suites & Villas are rich in comfort and individual styles. The Owners welcomed and interacted with us over our 2 nights stay with a sense of belonging & warmth without being intrusive.
The food was home style and simply divine and one enjoyed being pampered by their efficient and always smiling staff. One of the staff members- Rawat Ji escorted us to a clean and gushing rivulet where we clicked some memorable picks and soaked up some sun.
The resorts landscaping is well thought out with a variety of flora & fauna. There’s a great view of the swimming pool and dense hills from the Villa terrace.
The Rooms and Suites are done up tastefully with modern comforts with an emphasis on hygiene and cleanliness.
A great place to relax and enjoy!

We spent four days at this beautiful resort located just out side Dehradun off the Mussorie highway. It is a 10 min drive from the Max hospital which means that it is quite near to the main town also . Nestled in the rural Dehradun,it is a perfect weekend getaway . I had hosted a social function for 50 guests. As most of them were outside the city , i wanted them to have a real feel of Dehradun i.e. the unpolluted clear skies the morning chill, chirping of the birds lovely winter flowers spreading a riot of colours, quietly lazily flowing river close by ... and I was not disappointed as the resort offered a perfect package . A homely place very tastefully decorated rooms simple nice food ,very friendly staff under the watchful eyes of Mrs Sandhya .Her personal touch will add to your lasting memory of the place and people . The hotel is a beautiful property. Comfortable rooms. The service is quite bad. So if your a group of adults, kids and nanny,, should def avoid this place. Few tips if you travel in a group 1. Get the menu fixed before hand for sure on writing. The food is very expensive and you will be very dissatisfied with their service 2. The kids should def stay away from the plants- you will be charged if damaged . 3. The Bon fire is charged in hourly basis which is pretty expensive so it should be clarified before hand 4. There is a dining table used for serving dinner in the area where the rooms are.. but will be charged service charge if food is brought till there. What’s the point of keeping the table. 5. Breakfast - might charge you for fresh juice . Very strange as breakfasts always have fresh juices. 6. Less staff , not a service hotel where you will get top service 7. The food is prepared as per your request so Incase if you want any more quantity , u will not get it 8. We only had custard dessert , homely and nice . The chef made good food . 9. Can be refused for food too.. like tikka’s because they cannot prepare small quantity tikka.. wierd ! Few points before booking this hotel.. else a beautiful location. Clear sky , clean air. Kids had a blast. But everything should be in writing before going there..

Our menu has Ala carte and combos.Therefore, we do not think anything was hidden from you. We discourage bonfire as the pollution levels are going up to hazardous levels. We did mention the charges of the same with you before arranging them . Madam the kitchen timings for our resort are till 11P.M. But you requested for having food at past midnight in the common area instead of the dining room. We hope you would understand. We try to serve our best to the guests. The old world charm of shaheenbagh, nestled in a profusion of colorful flowers and natural beauty, resounding with the music made by the chirping birds makes it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. With the promise of fishing and cycling activities, picnic by the river along with a professional spa facility made it seem like ideal to pamper all of us. The tariff was steep, ( 1 lakh 5 thousand for 3 nights)But, what the heck! we hadn't been anywhere since last year and deserved the 5 star pampering. I booked it expecting the service to justify it. And so we landed here beaming with expectations. First dampner: No fishing : has to be prebooked a week in advance. Dampner no.2 Cycling is a big No No parent in their right mind will send the kids to cycle on a hilly narrow road bustling with vehicles charging up and down.
Dampner no.3 Who wants to have home cooked dal, subzi, paneer and curd for three consecutive meals? Not to miss the gulab Jamun and gajjar ka halwa which followed us to the last day of our stay. I finally had to speak to chef and request for Chinese, and continental cuisine to break the monotony. He duly complied and rustled up delicious food.
Dampner no 4. The toiletries in the second bathroom were not provided even after requesting for them. We were told to share from the master bathroom. But we were spared from doing so as the geyser in the second bathroom Was not working.😜
Dampner no 5 We felt very welcome and athome when the staff members would off and on greet us and offer tea and snacks. But this feel too came with a price tag as it was all added to our final bill.
No 6 The luxurious spa was conspicuous by its absence.
No 7 Picnic by the river? What picnic? Not happening!!☹
No 8 To top it all, No formal bill was issued though 18% GST was charged.
The saving grace is Sandhya ma'am, ever so charming and sweet along with a dedicated staff ever ready to help with their kind words. So much so that we were robbed of the services and amenities we were promised and expected but did not have the heart to point it to them. In so many years of traveling this is the first time we came back feeling at a loss and exhausted. Hence this review for fellow travellers They need to do one of the two things: Bring in more professionalism, and improve the amenities and facilities or Reduce the tariff considerably.

I and my husband are deeply saddened for not being able to meet upto your expectations. Honestly, i dont want to say anything in the defence of myself and my team. We will look into the matter and resolve our fallings. But just one tiny thing most of the problems you faced were mere problems of miscommunication Had you mentioned it to me while your stay alot could have happened . But a few things i would like to share a few things with you and other prospected guests. 1. It has been mentioned in our mails and also on our website that Angling (Fishing) needs prior notice as we need to take permission from the Govt. 2. We are located on hills. Hills in India are blessed with only thin and narrow roads. For this reason we have full safety gear for cycling. Had you mentioned to me about to many meanders, we would have taken you to a straighter road near by. 3. We offer all cuisines from Chinese, Continental ,Tandoor, Himalyan Delicacies to Ghar ka Khanna. 4. On the occasion of Holi we generally dont recommend to go by the river. For obvious reasons of negative elements as river is a common property of all. 5. Spa is not functional because of Government guidelines due to COVID 19. 6. Ma'am the booking was done thru a Travel Agent so the whole bill was duly raised in their name. Please ask your agent . Again we at Shaheen Bagh apologise for not meeting your expectations. We spent few nights at Shaheen Bagh with friends, it was for our anniversary celebration and also to catch some fresh air after covid lockdown. I found this hidden jewel through a reference followed by user reviews. I called and connected with SandhyaJi and there onwards everything was smooth and taken care extremely well. The property is absolutely beautiful to say the least and the location is rare to find, each and every thing in this property is selected with care and taste, the room, flowers, common areas, library.... the born fine, picnic near the stream close by made things so special. Each Food item was special and we have over eaten continuously. Deepak and team in the restaurant took such good care, warm food came on the table continuously. An always available team member Rawat took care of one and all. Everything in our stay has been memorable. Most importantly the care Sandhaji and her team takes, this is a beautiful home and we all will go back again. Thank you Sandhaji and Arun.

I made a trip last July in the Monsoon, though not the ideal season but the experience of monsoon in the lap of nature was surprisingly cozy and heartfelt because of the beautiful location and warm hospitality of lovely and lively couple Mr. Arun and Mrs. Sandhya( host and owner) of Shaheen Bagh. The resort is ideally located for one to experience the Himalayan landscape amidst the lush green forest and to get up to see and hear some exotic birds. The property is picturesque, and has the warmth of cozy home blended with the amenities and service of a resort, making one feel safe and pampered away from the city. One can sit for hours in the library building reading or gazing at the beautiful landscape. A great place to spend exclusive time with friends and family.

This place has a calming effect. There is abundance of peace,luxury and class the moment you step inside the Shaheen Bagh resort.
Just when you fall in love with this fantastic well maintained property, you are swayed by the mannerism and customer service provided by the staff.
Owners are so welcoming that they make you the owner of the place. What else do you need? Good food and if thats what you have in mind this is the place. Finger licking is good . They go extra mile in taking care of their guests , Once they know what you want how you want , the staff doesnt give you another chance to repeat.
They have excellence in customer service, Shaheen Bagh is the place where is fall in love. My son and I had one of our best holidays here. I have a promise of returning here again. The road is mostly in the plains. Hilly ride is just when you enter Dehra dun that area is called Mohand . Then 10 minutes hilly detour from main Mussorie Road to the resort.
The resort belongs to the Guptas. I am just a frequent traveller.
Numerous places dot the lovely doon valley.
You can go towards Haridwar road n explore doiwala n lachhiwaala. U can go to the famous Robber’s cave.
Drive up to the densely forested cloud end near hathi paon to experience wilderness n the clouds welling up.
