Had an absolutely phenomenal stay at the Brijrama Palace in mid-July. Highlights are below: LOCATION: The property is located right on the Ganges at Darbhanga Ghat. Super-easy access to boats to go up or down river - either through the hotel or otherwise. Could not be better FOOD: Was excellent. There is a great menu, but the team is happy to help cook something unique if you ask for it. I wanted local snacks and they prepared these for me ROOM and AMENITIES: There are beautiful views and balconies through the property and great to relax and read a book at any of them. Room was great - clean, stocked mini-bar, comfortable washroom etc. Internet was also great STAFF: They are so nice and friendly. They are happy to arrange anything - boat tours, city walking tour, Sarnath visit etc. If you want to go with their guides, they will help. If you want to be a solo adventurer, they will still give you whatever guidance you need All in, LOVED the visit. And would highly recommend it to anyone else planning a trip to this ancient city.

We stayed at the Brijrama Palace for 2 nights recently. This is a fantastic heritage hotel. What makes it so special is the service and the staff where nothing was too much trouble. The service, thoughtfulness and attention to detail is really what sets apart Brijrama Palace from the rest. The hotel is small enough for you to get to know other guests. The arrangements for the heritage walk and holy dip in Ganges done through the hotel was also very helpful.

Dream lived well at the Brijrama Palace. I couldn't take my eyes off the breath-taking views of the Holy Ganges. I'd like to start with the esteemed royal welcome headed by Prem and Nikita, As soon as you get on the Boat, it's like a dream has started and you never want that feeling to end. Prem was amazing with a smooth check in done, a tour of the Palace with the history of the palace. I would like to compliment Harshit, Prem, Satish, Shubham at the Palace Service desk for always being helpful and the services being so smooth as they could be. Special thanks to Front Office Manager, Dilip for giving an upgrade to my parents who were celebrating their 25th anniversary. The suite was beautifully decorated and thanks to Nikita for a welcome cake and a beautiful picture given at the checkout clicked at the most picturesque Instagram famous location in the palace which was a baithak, terrace and Aangan. The menu was diverse, service was quick, ambience is the best you could ask for with the views of the Ganges, and before you think you need anything there is someone at your table to ask you. The team ensured a great heritage tour around the Varanasi ghat. I am sure you are and you will keep on taking the Brij hotels to greater heights.

If you want to know the soul of India you have to visit Varanasi, the spiritual capital. I resided ten days at Brijrama Palace, definitely the best address in town to stay, just five minutes away from Dashashwamedh Ghat, the one where every evening the main Ganga Aarti is performed. The staff of this luxury heritage hotel which once was a Maharaja Palace is obliging and heartwarming. About 200 years old Brijrama Palace is emanating spirituality combined with royal power. The food is good, the view from the entrance hall terrace on the Ganges river is stunning, but the best part is the location in the heart of Varanasi. You reach all the main spots by foot. Just walking through the narrow lanes of the old town is so uplifting and an adventure of its own. I fall in love with Varanasi because of staying at Brijrama Palace. The highlight for me was staying in the room "Varuna Burj" which the staff offered me as a bonus gift. The 180 degree view on the Ganges and all the ghats from this room is simply breathtaking. I will definitely come back.

If you really want to enjoy Varanasi, stay at Brijrama Palace. This hotel is right next to Dashashvmedha ghat. It is like coming out of the hotel in front of Ganga Aarti. This place cannot be reached via car and hotel take care of the commute via water boats. The staff is super courteous, food is good and it has cultural programs within hotel which are very pleasing and uplift your spirit. Hotel staff makes sure that they take care of your every need, whether it is a boat ride on Ganges, take a dip in holy Ganga, seeing Ganga Aarti, trip to sunrise at Assi Ghat (Subah Banaras) or a day tour to the city. The location of the hotel itself is so good that you can explore the city by walking in famous bylanes of banaras. Whether you crave for food (all chaat bhandaar, kachori gali, gadowlia, thandai shops) are in walking distance. Vishwanath temple, again at walking distance, you can easily walk across all ghats if you want. Rooms are bit small, but the location is the king. A stay here will make your trip to varanasi super memorable. Also, the view of Ganga from this hotel is amazing. Spectacular place.
