The services in this hotel is excellent especially the staff related to banquet service The rooms are neat and clean and comfortable The quality of food is outstanding The staff are courteous and well behaved Overall an excellent place to stay in Varanasi
The ambiance and cleanliness are commendable. The food is also great! The servers are very attentive to the needs of the customers. There is a variety of food you can take (both veg and non-veg) from continental, Indian, and Chinese. There is also a bar which provides different kinds of beer, scotch, vodkas, etc. The price is mid-range. I love their chicken stroganoff!
We have conducted a Family function at the Hotel and also booked rooms for some guests to stay. Booth the rooms and the Banquet hall are very nice. The Hotel is located at a prime location just in front of DLW main gate and has a huge parking space adjacent that belongs to them and this an added advantage in a space deprived city like Varanasi. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Would specially thank the Manager Mr.Ganesh Dixit who was very helpful and supported us with all the requirements. If you are travelling to Varanasi alone or with friends and Family this is a great place to stay or conduct an event and get together.

As an American living in Varanasi, I was most happy when Hotel Madhuvan Palace announced the opening of its Crystal Bar. So, this is a review of the Crystal Bar at Hotel Madhuvan Palace on DLW Road in Varanasi. Since I have not stayed at the hotel as a guest, I'm unable to comment on the rooms or the status of room service. However, I will indicate that Madhuvan Palace is conveniently located near to Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Both locations provide tourist opportunities for the traveler. If you are a tourist visiting Varanasi, Madhuvan Palace is located within easy, moderate traffic, travel to Assi Ghat (5.4 Km and about 21 minutes) as opposed to some western named hotels to Assi Ghat (7.3 Km and about 32 minutes). And from there to all the main tourist attractions is an easy journey. I have dined in the restaurant countless times and have always found the food to be tasty and properly prepared. Choices are many from the veg and non-veg menu. The prices are affordable and reasonable. As to the Crystal Bar, this is excellent!! The bar is very well appointed with comfortable chairs surrounding individual tables. There is a complete menu for both alcohol and non-alcohol drinks. Complimentary snacks (namkeen) are served with your bar order. If you want to enjoy a more substantial meal, the Crystal Bar provides a wide selection of both veg and non-veg dishes to chose from. Your only difficulty may be in deciding what you want from the extensive menu. Of course, there is a selection of domestic and international brews from which to chose. What I really like about the Crystal Bar is the ambiance. Unlike most similar places in Varanasi, the lighting is soft and conducive to conversation. Other bars have large florescent lighting on the walls and ceiling that completely destroy the mood and atmosphere – like sitting inside a large department store with blinding lights. None of that here! The waitstaff in knowledgeable and friendly. They speak Hindi and English and are more than happy to be of assistance. If you are a foreigner, you can try out your Hindi phrases and they will be delighted to offer pronunciation assistance. Unfortunately, the bar does not stock diet Coke or Ginger Ale. Diet Coke is a favorite soft-drink of mine and, of course, Ginger Ale is a preferred mixer for some alcoholic drinks but you can make do with Sprite. The only thing missing is low background music that invites conversation. Just adjacent to the bar is a sparkling clean western bathroom, a boon to foreign tourists unfamiliar with Indian customs. With all the above, Crystal Bar has become my favorite as well as that of my friends.…
