Located in the busiest varanasi junction, this is a lodge. Very near this famous Dashashwamedh ghat where Ganga aarthi happens. Kasi Viswanath temple is walkable. Rooms too small- needs maintainance Restaurant on the passage of first floor
Service is the best part of this place.

Stayed in this hotel along with my family in month of April 2017. Hotel HKJ Palace is 4.5 KM from Varanasi Railway Station and near to Godolia crossing. HKJ Palace is walkable distance(hardly 500 meters) from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple(Golden Temple). I got to know from our auto-rickshaw driver that this hotel was actually cinema hall before. Hotel does not have facility of Bar, Gym, Elevator and travel desk. But still they can arrange you the vehicle for sight seeing. Hotel staff are cooperative and helpful. Reception and dining area are spacious. All the rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms are equipped with ACs, Flat TVs and Geysers. Hotel provides Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from in-house kitchen. Booked double bedded 3 rooms through OYO for 1 night stay(7 Adults + 1 Kid). Complimentary(OYO Booking) breakfast served was nice and tasty. But you have to decide and order it 1 hour before. Our train was in night so hotel staff arranged a single room from 12 PM to 7 PM at half rate. This place is pure value for money and recommended. If you want to stay in nice budget hotel then I will highly recommend this hotel.
Tips: 1) Order your food at-least 1 hour before(Slow service). 2) Dishes like single special thali is sufficient for 2 persons(To avoid wastage of food). 3) Plan your journey with prior intimation to hotel staff or driver(Since roads are narrow and always traffic jam).

The hotel location is good. Walkable distance from vishwanath temple. Many Ganges ghat are just nearby the hotel. Travelling at night is very safe due to protection of UP Police force. Recommend to all. Breakfast variety need to be provided

First of all this is not a hotel, This is a Movie Hall turned into hotel. I booked this hotel through Zorooms, and stayed during Devdipaboli , 2015 with my family. This hotel was just spoiled my whole trip. I done my booking at least 2 months back and also got the confirmation call over phone, but when we reached at the hotel they refused to give us the allotted rooms. The incidents start like this: We reached at the hotel around 8 in the morning and Check in time was 12 noon so they provided a space to take rest but after 12 they were continuously delaying to provide us the rooms, sometimes they said people are cleaning the rooms, sometimes they said ya we are just changing the linen etc. After almost 1.5 hours they provided us three rooms and when we entered the rooms, we were just surprised that those are not our allotted rooms. Rooms are too tinny and on the terrace, linens are torn and dirty, toilets didn’t have geysers. When we enquired and complained about the rooms, they said these are the rooms they allotted for us and rooms are not always as the pictures. I called Zorooms and after several conversations they sent their representatives and after checking the room, representative confirmed that these are not the allotted rooms. In front of the Zoroom’s representative Hotel manager admitted that they already gave those good rooms to some other guests, but by that night they’ll provide us 2 good rooms (our actual rooms) and one will be by next day morning but they provided us only on in that night and another by next day evening. And they totally failed to provide us the 3rd room and two of my family members had to suffer. Apart from these incidents, this hotel doesn’t have any rooms’ service or cleaning facilities. As this was a movie hall so rooms or toilets don’t have any window, floors are very uneven, and floor tiles are scary. Only good thing is the location of this hotel, just 5 mins walking distance from Biswanath Mandir and 8-10 mins walking distance from Dasaswamedh ghat. Please avoid this hotel, it is best to cancel your Varanasi trip than staying in this hotel.

Its hard to believe this hotel is at 3+ rating.. Cant imagine anyone can say its good hotel.. This is a cinema theatre turned into hotel and is at busy place. Only good thing is its near to Vishwanath temple. Coming back to hotel, Rooms were very dirty and uncleaned. Bedsheets, Duver cover all were having stain marks and even after asking to change it couple of times they couldn't put a clean bedsheet and covers. SHAME!!! In one of the rooms mattress was so dirty as if it was used in Toilet room.. ( see pic) Windows are not double glazed so in night be prepared to get disturbed by DOG BARK and Vehicle horns.. Maintainence was so pathetic that we didn't bother to have complimentary breakfast there..I am sure we would fell sick after having breakfast there.. We booked hotel from Makemytrip after reading reviews and seeing pics there but trust me rooms are not in those condition as shown in picture..Big Fraud.. PLEASE Be Away from this hotel...

My stay experience at HKJ palace was not at all satisfactory. The booking was done through GoIbibo. We went there by road from Kolkata and that too self driven and this was well informed to the Hotel management. On the way we received a call from the hotel just to confirm our arrival time. After driving for more than 12 hrs when we reached Varanasi, we called up the hotel to know the exact location. The manager replied " We don't have the rooms you had booked." He continued.." only 2 rooms are available on the top floor, if you can manage to stay at those rooms, we can accommodate you else search for some other option." My booking was done through GoIbibo, so I had tried to call their customer care for several times, but unfortunately only once it got connected to some executive. But before I could finish my talk, the line got dropped. As we dint have any other option left we managed to stay at two very small (8.5' X 10') and dirty rooms. I had requested the manger to shift us to the rooms which we actually booked, and in reply he said us to stay at those rooms for that night and assured to shift us on the next day (26th Dec). Next day after breakfast when I asked him to check the status of the room shifting, he refused us. Again for another day we stayed at those rooms. After a hot exchange with the manager, I somehow negotiated to manage some complementary food and that too with their choice of menu. 27th early morning we went for a trip and came by late evening. Then he said us that we can shift to the good rooms for toninght. We shifted at around 19:30 to some better rooms ( that is also a great mismatch with the pics of rooms we booked). On top of that the linen was not changed and the rooms were not got cleaned. Next day early morning (28th @ 07:30) we checked out and left the place.

I booked this hotel in last minute when my Varanasi trip got finalized. It took few mins for checkin as room wasnt ready and they had to verify booking from my phone seems makemytrip didnt inform them . Anyways room was on ground floor and big one. We had only one intention and that too Kashi Vishwanath darshan so this was good option. Its walking distance from temple . Provides you option for taxi booking and different pooja booking . We opt to choose our own options and they were fine..
We had sumptuous breakfast of Aaloo Paratha and Aaloo sabji with pickle. Both were piping hot and extremely tasty.
Checkout was painless.
They can surely work on cockroaches part as we could see a couple of them in morning .

Hotel low class. Too much expensive for the quality.
Hotel not very good and not very clean. Many cockroaches in my room. The room was quite fine but outside the room it was very dirty and everything was broked. The breakfast was good but very simple.

The hotel is in close proximity to the Kashi Vishwanath temple and Dashashwamedha Ghat where one can witness the evening aarti. The room was comfortable though you need to check your booking details as no toiletries were provided. Didn't have any issue with the cleanliness or service. However, breakfast is not served before 9am, and if you plan to leave early you would have to skip breakfast at the hotel. Food quality is okay, but choices are limited. The area around the hotel is congested and there are traffic regulations in place after 9am, which you need to check.

It's a third class hotel with very poor maintenance, smelly rooms, nil staff courtesy. Rooms are not even worth paying 800/- per night. Given their attitude, they are not even concerned with their customers feedbacks.
