It is a old hotel of a established group of north India. The property is very well located and maintained. It is very popular with the tourist hence we had to wait for more than a hour to check in on the higher floor room which we has requested long ago at the time of booking. Stayed for 04 nights. The staff at the Restra, the entrance were very courteous, efficient n prompt in service. The front office staff were also good. There are number of hotels in and around this hotel of similar range hence in order to overcome competition, the management must ensure there is no compromise on the standards and services being provided. Had a very comfortable stay. Will surely recommend to others.
This overpriced hotel is understaffed , especially during the night times for reasons best known to the hoteliers! After several failed calls to numbers meant for ‘housekeeping’, I tried reception! Twice reception desk didn’t respond to my call! On 3rd attempt, one did pick up. I told my requirement & he said ‘will be done’ which was never to be! After 3 failed calls early in the morning, a person picked up phone from reception desk! I asked water bottles. After about 1/2an hour, I got a few bottles of water from a housekeeping staff. I was told that there is 100% occupancy & this could be the reason that management has hiked the room tariff exorbitantly which is not worth when compared to overall facilities and quality of food provided by the hotel. We stayed for 3 night & breakfast had almost same menu all 3 days! Next time round, I will try other available options for sure!…
Worst hotel in town! Staff is unprofessional and have no idea what they are suppose to do and say to the guests. Food is below average… now let’s talk about the rooms.. we paid a bomb for the rooms almost close to 15k per night and the rooms that we got was not even close to a 2 star property. The rooms stink. They are not clean. Bathrooms were gross and bugs were everywhere! ! The door did not seem secure as secured chain was broken. And you would find roaches in your room like I did. Musty smell in the wash room and rooms.. whole night we suffered due to that. Pillow covers weren’t changed.. had to call for fresh pillow covers since they were smelling of someone’s hair oil. I don’t know how they got 5 star rating! Extremely terrible experience .. unfortunately I have to spend 2 more nights in this place. I will not recommend this place unless this is a very last resort. In fact I’d say a normal dharamshala is cleaner than this place. JUST AVOID THIS HOTEL!! …
Avoid. Its just a building. Old wold, but no charm,, only falling apart with no maintenance or staff. 5* + pricing. I am not sure its even worth 3*, except the lobby, where no on stays. Sloppy & short staffed, poor service, absurd restaurant pricing. Poor quality nad services are effectively notional. 5 New hotels on either side, and in cantonment may be much better options. Some are in/with mall/shop, where you can options.
Despite informing them of being Lactose intolerant, for a stay of 6 days, soy milk was provided only for 2 days. Was made to run between the dining and the reception for requests. Reception staff ill briefed and is constantly calling up their seniors for replies. No effort to give any lactose free desserts. Menu is the same!!! No innovation in salads. Service staff barge in for cleaning.

Stayed there for 1 night rather a couple of hours Room was basic but clean Didn’t have time to look around We had booked our rooms with breakfast- but we changed our plans to leave early for sangam The person at the front desk was kind enough to get a basic breakfast packed at 5am - it wasn’t much yet the little thing mattered So totally appreciate
Classy grand hotel with the best quality food. The rooms are large and well maintained. The hotel I believe is family owned but have well trained professional and hospitable staff. Tucked in the Cantonment area the hotel is centrally located and great for business and family stays and banquets
