Super clean, quiet and a nice chill vibe. Felt very safe. Rickey was genuine, trustworthy and awesome at organising local guides at a good price. The hostel is in a supreme location, close to the Ganges and Ghats, as well as some beautiful big trees!

Getting to the property is a Lil tricky but the place in itself is a small oasis for budget travelers right behind shivalay ghat, very neat rooms they have dorms too. Natwar lal is a very helpful manager and was sorting out my ride to the airport and stuff without any hassle. Gonna go back for sure

Beautiful and budget-friendly, hostel LaVie is situated near beautiful shivalay ghat. The staff is really friendly and can help you out with all your travel queries. The hostel arranges morning boat rides at a very reasonable cost, with Gopal Bhaiya as a guide. Born and brought up in Benaras he knows more than just the tales. He can also guide you to great saree shops where you can get pretty sweet deals on some authentic sarees. They will surely ensure to make your trip to Banaras a memorable one.

I had stayed from 20-11-2021 to 25-11-2021 in HosteLavie. It is such a clean property and the staff are so courteous that they try to make ends meet to reach up to your expectation. The main reason for me to stay here is to peacefully write my script and never was I disturbed; not even once. Vikramaditya, Pavan, Sudheer and Gopal makes it a point that your stay is as great as possible. The place is so aesthetically artistic; calm and serene that your vacation or workation will be as smooth as it can be.

Best place to stay while your visit to Varanasi. Friendly staff, good location and a soothing environment. Rooms are clean and there's a lot of space to hangout with in the hostel. The staff is available 24×7 to help out.

Down a narrow smelly alley filled with excrement. We reserved a private room with bathroom. It was too small to take anything out of our packs. Almost as smelly as the alley. Breakfast was included - a piece of toast, a banana, and a small bowl of cornflakes. We found a much nicer place half a kilometer away for 250 rupee more per night and left. Zero refund.

I'm a fan of hostelavie, it's a known quantity to me. I enjoyed staying at this one because it's slightly removed from the noise and the chaos of the centre. It's location is close to a ghat and therefore you can choose to either walk through the streets or along the ghats to reach the hub. Breakfast is included!!! (depending on which booking platform you use) and there is a large rooftop to do your thing (yoga / sunbathe / Read etc). Once again free use of washing machine - total bonus!! Thanks I've had a nice time here.

My girlfriend and I stayed at HosteLaVie in Varanasi for 2 nights. The room was reasonably clean and the staff were very accommodating. We arrived there very late due to a delayed train. The staff helped us settle in and allowed us to order food. Their onion pakora are the best I have ever eaten in my life! The food is freshly cooked and reasonably priced. When we checked in, we were offered a variety of tours for whilst we were in Varanasi. We opted for a walking tour around the Ghats and some of Varanasi (600rps each). The tour began very well, the guide spoke excellent English and had plenty to say. Once we had been around the Ghats he took us to where silk pashmena's are made. This was very interesting until we were sat down being showed all of their collections to buy. We were then taken to a water temple which happened to have a souvenir shop next to it and were walked into the shop. Next we were taken to a herb and oil shop, when we refused to buy anything the guide cut the trip short and took us back to the hostel. Overall we felt ripped off and let down.…

I was there for five days. I have to say that all personnel, starting from managers, are very helpful and solved all problems. The structure is not new and this is the only point that makes me not give five points. they have already prepared solutions for different tours of the city at affordable prices, affiliated rickshaw drivers, they help in buying tickets for train and buses... and also they are very kind. The price in relation to the service offered is very very good. I recommend this place
