We stayed in a double room and the bed was tiny, not big enough for 2 people. The breakfast is terrible, small portions, greasy and unhealthy. Also the restaurant serves tiny portions too. Disappointing place.
The dorms are nice, beds with curtains for more privacy, big bathroom with hot water inside the dorms. The common area and rooftop is nice and comfy. The price includes a small breakfast, free mineral water and wifi. They close hostel door by 10:30pm so just make sure to let them know if coming after that time. Staff is very helpful and friendly, they also have a free walking tour and a paid one for sunset in the river but good price, same day laundry service for a good price, great place to meet people and very good location. Thank you very much for welcoming us so early in the morning after a long train ride, we definitely picked the best hostel to stay in Varanasi.
La Va India hostel (hotel) is very good place to stay I have been there with family for 10 days, we came from abroad and this hotel has all the amenities and facilities The hotel staff are very very supportive in every means.. esp Atul has guided us in many things Reg.. temple visits, shopping, boating etc... we all came to varanasi for a spiritual event and this hotel is very comfortable for every one to stay , they have many varieties of rooms which suites almost every kind of tourist.. they have in-house kitchen which has great ambience.. they have nice roof TOP which gives good view of varanasi city. we will happily rate the hotel with 5-stars. La Va hostel.. keep doing great service ... you have bright future ahead 👍👍👍 Once again thanks very much for serving us..
We couldn’t have been better. Next to one of the gahts and a little far from the train station, although we already knew that. The breakfast was included and was good (cereals with milk, banana and chai tea). They have a delicious bar upstairs, nice rooftop to see the views and cool common areas. Filter water to refill the bottles and funs in the bedroom. We did an amazing tour for free with them where Atul explained us everything about hinduism and his culture, we invite us a cup of tea before the Aarti ceremony and then we went there. Finally we went to see Manikarnika ghat (death ritual) and he explained how it works. They also suggested to buy a river tour qith them early in the morning before our flight. We took it and they made sure that everything was on time. It worth it!!!! Thank you very much! See you next time…
The rooms was clean and that was the most important for me. Service was very good and I can for sure recomant this place to stay in Varanasi. Lavaca is near by everything and a good and quit hostel. They also offer lunch and dinner.
La Vaca was our home for 3 nights in Varanasi and it was an incredible stay!! We originally were only going to stay 1 night but decided to stay for 3. The location is right near the ghats and Ganges River, delicious restaurants nearby and the room was very clean. The breakfast is an omelette or cornflakes with toast with fruit and chai. The common area and rooftop are superb and we enjoyed hanging out up there. Rooms are very clean. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice. There’s a walking tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. Anil and his brother have created something very special here! Thank you! Namaste
My experience at La Vaca Varanasi was nothing short of excellent. Since the hostel was such a short distance form the ghats, it made exploring Varanasi super easy and convient. The common area was cozy and the 6 mixed AC dorm that I stayed in was clean. The staff at La Vaca were always friendly and willing to help me with anything I needed. I could not reccomend this hostel enough!
LaVaca Hostel McLeod Ganj is a confortable hostel with clean, small rooms and a clean, cozy common area. The continental breakfast is basic, but mostly deligious (I would have prevered indian breakfast). Unfortunaly the breakfast time is only for one hour and for me to late. The location is perfect in upper bhagsu, close to nature and yoga and not too far away from McLeod Ganj (30min walk). I did not enjoy the extremely loud electronic/indian music. And other guest did feel the same. so most people were relaxing and eating somewhere else, where they could have converstions. Additionally, the staff was very strick with the opening hours of the common area. I was not welcomed friendly on my first day and nobody was answering my email in which I asked for early check in. The towel that I rented was dirty and the replacement as well... I would wish the hostel would be a little bit more welcoming…
That hostel had everything I was looking for: It's location is very good. It is clean and safe. I didn't have problem leaving stuff in the room and nothing was touched (They have cameras- not in the rooms- for surveillance- ). The staff was friiendly and helpful. I took the free tour they offer daily to the ghat and it was informative. Not the best guide, but yo get what you (don't) pay for. Anyway it was a great way to meet fellow travellers. I also took their morning boat ride. Although it was a bit pricier than other had mention (300INR), It was a LONGER one, about double the time than other boat rides. I stayed in the double room which was right on the street ,so during the day there is noise- (but that the price of staying at the heart of Varansi), but at night time I slept well. The street starts to get to life around 06:30. AC in the room worked fine. Wifi was also working perfectly.…
I stayed at this place for the holi festival in Varansi. It is very nice and has a comfortable common area and a rooftop. We celebrated the holi at the roof and the staff really makes everything possible for a nice time. They are very friendly and helpful. If you need some time to relax it‘s a very nice place too.
