It starts as soon as you enter, because the Doorman looks exactly like Indian film star Amitabh Bachchan.
Clean room, fresh linens, and wonderfully helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is great, you can have breakfast or dinner on the roof terrace with a view over the Ganges river.
Then there is also a great chef who prepares the most delicious meals for you.
The waiter also has very good taste and gives the right advice.
In short, you will want to go back to Varanasi just for the hotel!!

Deepak the local guide made every effort to show us the temple, weavers colony
Thankyou team Guleria for making our stay memorable
Anupama a big thank you for the very well planned trip, look forward to visiting again

A lovely hotel with very helpful and attentive staff.

More than anything, the staff hospitality was beyond excellence.
The front desk was manned by Anshu, Easwar and Shekhar., the help they extended is beyond what a normal hotel does. My experience was very good with all three who man the front desk.
The staff in kitchen Shyam is a young 24 year old person. Really cool kiddo and if you connect with him , he will amuse you with his demeanor.
It's not accessible for senior citizens .
We stayed on 4th Floor in rooms 401 &402.
Also they are not petty like other hotels, the minibar and snacks and few seasonal fruit are all complimentary.
Don't look for food anywhere , just use their Restaurant.
I will visit again

It is located on the Assi ghat and has a gorgeous view of the river. Enjoying breakfast and tea facing it was truly an experience. There's a temple hall with a beautiful Vishnuji idol which is prayed to and adorned with flowers everyday.
The room was cosy and came with the usual amenities like kettle and tea bags, coffee etc, toileteries and a jar of tasty cookies. Our room was river-facing and I loved it.
The buffet spread for every meal was extensive and very tasty. The staff was extremely polite and served us chai and snacks throughout the day during our workshops and chats.
You cannot take enough pictures here. Every corner offers a different backdrop and gives it a unique look. From amazing decor with lovely usage of colours to great food, it made our experience a memorable one.
Stayed here for two days but it didn't feel enough. Definitely would want to stay here again on my next Varanasi visit.
The front office staff dosnt even know the correct WiFi password
The sr person Ms Hemali and booking manager Fiazan were just buzy in defending their staff even though they were wrong !!
Most of the amenities mentioned on website are not there / functional
The rooms which they claim to be river front are so small and hardly one can see river
The approach is so bad and shabby that i do not recommend a female guest to even venture out and stay in this property
The fromt office staff Ashish and Raju are careless beyond one’s imagination
After paying so high tarrif i feel it would have been better to stay in a dharamshala
The property is under renovation/ upgradation which they claim was not mentioned to us at all before we came
Over all a big zero for this property
Hope the msgmt improves and train tgeir staff to atleast have a service motto towards customer rather than treating a customer as a bagger
Mr Damani

Sangeet was followed by meal at the rooftop. This outlooks the ganges with a stunning view of varanasi river banks. Separtely, the rooftop itself is a beautiful place in its own right due to the excellent upkeep of the intricately constructed area. Needless to say food was excellent in variety and taste.
One more point to highlight here versus other river-bank hotels in varnasi, is the approach to the hotel from the steps/banks of ganges. The plantings and their maintenance along with the lighting was exquisite and best in class for varnasi. It truly feels like a special and well caref for venue.
One more aspect to consider is the interest that the family takes in locals and the relationships they have around them. While we were waiting for some people from our party to arrive, some local flutist showed up. The owners graciously had them seated and insisted they have tea with them. Needless to say we got to hear some melodious music while waiting at the river bank - quite a unique experience.
The rooms were well appointed, the cafe and restaurant served tasty meals and the views of life on the Ganges from almost every room and meeting place were glorious. They also offered two cultural evening presentations during our stay.
We spent 5 wonderful days at Guleria Kothi; what a start to our long India adventure.
