Detailed Reviews
Rose Heritage Home is a beautiful, clean and well maintained heritage building that has been converted into a hotel. It is very close, walkable distance, to Shivala, Hanuman and Chet Singh Ghat. A short rickshaw trip will take you to the temples for about Rs.100. The location is superb. The management and staff are to be especially complemented for their service, great attitude and helpful nature. The hotel does not have a kitchen, however, the staff we helpful when food was ordered in and even provided plates, cutlery and cleared the tray. They were flexible and were happy to substitute cheese for eggs as we are pure vegetarians. We stayed in the Princess suite, and the room, sitting area and space was pleasant. The bathroom is spacious. They have provided a safe, fridge and kettle, Downside, no cupboards for clothes, a necessity if you have a long stay. The bath area has a hand shower attached to the bath tub Jacuzzi. We have recommended a handlebar to get out of a tub. It can get noisy in the sitting area when there is traffic, but the bedroom is more inset. The cots are princess size, narrower than we are used to, but they provided firm mattresses and we had a restful stay.

This has to be the most charming hotel we have ever stayed in... you step off the bustling streets of Varanasi into a little piece of paradise! The hotel team are the nicest people we have encountered & full of positive energy. The suite is so beautifully decorated & comfortable, at the back of the hotel we slept like babies. The hotel arranged transport, a guide & boat trips for us all at a very fair price. Breakfast was delicious, taken in a cute little courtyard at the back
The rooms are spotless & you know every member of the hotel team care passionately about the building & their guests.
Thank you all for making Varanasi a trip to remember forever. We enjoyed every moment & will most definitely return to your wonderful hotel inside the city

We, a senior couple; stayed at Rose heritage home for couple of days. Stay was very comfortable. It has 5 rooms. Each room in this cozy boutique hotel is unique, bright and richly decorated. The bathrooms are worth a praise…spotless immaculate; large.
It is not a home-stay by definition; but a rich person’s villa converted to a small hotel. Staff members are smiling, helpful; make you feel like a VIP. They guided us for local sightseeing, arranging boat rides and hiring local transport etc.
Our train arrived early morning and they provided us with washroom to freshen up and offered early checkin.
They provide both Indian and continental breakfast. Fixed menu but yummy.
It is situated near Shivala ghat and Vishwanath mandir and Dashaswamedh ghat are around 1.5 km distance. There are many restaurants nearby. Transportation is easily available.
Mr Dharmendra, Manojkumar and Deepu helped us a lot. Mr Dipu is a staff as well as works as guide cum boatman.
I would not hesitate to recommend this Homestay for my friends.

This will be our go-to place for our next visit to Varanasi. The staff is so polite and helpful that it will make you smile while talking to them. The rooms are super clean; we stayed in the Sadhu and the Princess suite and loved how unique, distinct, and impressive the experience was. I highly recommend this place, just make sure you book in advance as they are always booked. Cheers!

This is a delightful place to stay in Varanasi. The homestay is located very near to Shivala Ghat as well as Assi Ghat. The rooms are very neat and clean and exquisitely designed. The staffs are very polite and very helpful. One can easily walk around the area to visit the Ghats. The main staff Jiten ji was very helpful and caring. He recommended us some really nice places to eat and shop. He also accompanied us to the boat ride in the evening and told us many interesting tales about the ghats. Overall staying in this homestay made our Varanasi trip truly memorable!

A beautiful stay in Banaras. This was my second visit to the city. I am so glad I found this place. This was a clean and beautiful heritage home turned into a stay.
Beautiful and clean rooms, very close to the ghats. The staff is helpful and very nice. They have a cute space right in the Center under the jackfruit tree which is a good place to sit and have breakfast.
The rooms are beautifully designed and the bathrooms have the most amazing rain shower ! Overall an amazing stay

This is a heritage property almost 150 years old. Very nice, clean, and well-maintained rooms. The best thing about this place is the staff. The staff is courteous, polite, and always ready and happy to help. The location is perfect as well.

+1
A beautiful property . Amazing hospitality . Impeccably clean rooms and a stone’s throw away from Assi ghat . The only drawback was the location and the very few food options nearby . The highpoint was the friendliness of the staff and the amazingly beautiful bathroom - beats a 7 star hollow !

The closest ghat is Shivala ghat which is just 3-4 minutes away. It is also close to Assi Ghat which is about 10 minutes away.
For the ghats closer to Vishwanath temple like Manikarnika or Dasashwamedh, you can either take a rickshaw from the front of the hotel or go to the ghats and take a boat. It may take 10 minutes by rickshaw and a 5 minute walk to these ghats.
If you are the walking types, you can actually walk all along the ghats. May take about 20 minutes from Shivala to Dasashwamedh.
3 rooms are ready. There is construction going on in a portion of the property for building more rooms. But we did not experience any problem because of the construction.
