Right from offering once of the best welcomes in the Industry the Taj Lucknow offers a lot of culture experienced from the entrance itself.A beautiful tri-color Samay and the floral display to commemorate the 75th Independence Day ( as I checked in the afternoon of 16th August) was a fantastic experience. Right from being ushered into my room and checking on a guest for any additional needs is always the Tajness one expects. The check-in ( am sorry the names are missing but they must all get due credit) for their job well done. Since this was a business trip the evening dinner was also well served and the F&B staff ensured every comfort a guest can desire for. Later the center foyer piano was one of the soothing balm on a weary traveler like me. Later on this was challenged equally with the beautiful morning "flute" played live as we enjoyed the wholesome breakfast. Again my apologies not to mark and appreciate in name but the experience will always be cherished and look forward to more visits in near future.…

Experience can’t be penned. It’s totally amazing filled with joy, happiness and peace. You go into a different world, relaxing in peace of mind and if you want anything is in which is in your habit, De make it, it is being taken care of since I am a diabetic. They offer me a wonderful diabetic food. Totally healthy.

I had a wonderful experience at “Taj Mahal Lucknow “. It is without a doubt one of my favorite hotels to stay.The General manager of Taj Mahal Lucknow Mr.Vinod deserves a special thanks. He assisted and supported me. And the work he does is truly impressive . I want to thank Nidhi Singh who’s the Duty manager. She made sure I had a pleasant experience and supported me a lot during the whole stay from the check-in until check out.She was even able to resolve the payment issue I had. He even arranged the decor for a special occasion on my request. It was really beautiful. He’s a true sample of excellent hospitality! This was my first time in Lucknow and I wanted to stay at Taj because a friend had said it's a nice property. To start with, the location is very convenient and is in the centre of the city (Gomti Nagar). Despite being in the city, it was a very peaceful and quiet property. It is spread out with beautiful lawns, fountains and what not. Even the swimming pool has a fountain! My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and on our request, we were upgraded to a suite. We had booked the deluxe room (one below suite). The room needless to say was just amazing with a great view. A bathtub would have been amazing but nevertheless. We ended up staying in the room/hotel most of the time because it was just so enjoyable. I will run out of space if I write every thought so I'll refrain. I want to specifically thank certain employees. Shraddha at front desk, Vishnu and Durgesh in Housekeeping, Sudhir, Sadika, and Faheem at Sahib cafe. Jatin at Oudhyana was wonderful as well. They were amazing wait staff and Faheem brought us delightful tea and bun maska at breakfast every day. Great job by these people overall. I want to especially mention chef Ishika at Sahib cafe who made unbelievably good croissants everyday and brought us warm and fresh ones every morning at breakfast. She is an exceptional pastry chef and I told her that I've never eaten such good croissants in India. This is a big deal since I came back from Paris recently and her croissants were comparable to those available in Europe. I want to overall thank the hotel and their staff for their exceptional Taj service. I've said this before, Taj hospitality is unmatched. From upgrade, to cake in the room, and amazing service at restaurants, Taj service doesn't disappoint. I really hope to be back again soon. My compliments to all the staff. …

Good property but F&B is underwhelming and expensive. Hotel needs to improve the quality of food and extend the variety of food especially during breakfast and dinner. Room service was good and room was comfortable.

We stayed three nights at this elegant hotel, in a room with a small balcony overlooking the extensive garden and swimming pool. It was our first trip to Lucknow and we would love to return. It's a charming, tidy and accessible city full of buildings reflecting its Mughal past and, of course, the 1857 First War of Independence and assault on the British residency. Apart from a very comfortable (though compact) room, it was the staff at the hotel who made our stay memorable. It began with help from Narayan, a long standing employee, who willingly helped us move to a more suitable room. He moved our cases for us, brought us an extra suit case table, and provided us with extra water and other commodities which made us feel comfortable. We felt very welcome at this hotel - all of the staff we approached for advice or simply passed in the corridor - were warm and welcoming. The support staff for our room, Khushbu and Anil, were excellent. We loved the Indian fare at the hotel's Sahib Cafe - and greatly appreciated the advice and extra treats provided to us once the staff realised we could benefit from some tips on what Indian dishes to try. Both breakfast and dinner, the food was superb and exciting and we will never forget the courtesy of the staff. We were not so fortunate at the Oudhyana Restaurant, where we received no advice and our waiter spoke almost no English, and our meal suffered as a result. In particular, it was Ayesha at the front desk who provided me with superb tips on where to go shopping for Chikankari clothing, pashmina, etc., as well as how to reach the historical sites. I love Chikankari embroidery and came home with some gorgeous examples, all very well priced, which I will have for a life time. Thank you Ayesha, I'll not forget you. I appreciated all your tips and the calm and quiet way you went about your work. One small disappointment was that only instant coffee was supplied in the guest rooms. Most hotels of this quality provide coffee machines and quality coffee in capsules, which is greatly appreciated by Westerners.…
