The 'quaintness' and perfect location of the hotel is its charm so you have to allow for some discrepancies. The staff are polite and very helpful and will go out of their way to accommodate the guests.. The rooms are well presented. We did enjoy our stay.
A post monsoon damp mildewy smell was very present. The buffet breakfast was not lavish but definitely functional and tasty. The A La Carte menu was disappointing and had no finesse or taste. The bathroom seats are very high for someone who is 5'6" and my feet were not able to be flat on the floor. The television channels provided are not thought out. The sports channels we got were the ones that show old replays when the same money could have been used to provide the channels that showed the english language coverage of the live test and the other live programmes. ie do away with 454 to 459 and give the star select1 and 2 and also the sony sports channels.
The soap and shampoo dispensers were so easy to use and definitely more hygienic. The use of refillable glass bottles is a great move forward and we were keep supplied with plenty of drinking water.
We shall definitely be back!

I must say if I am coming back to Lucknow, I will be staying at no other place but here in "La Place Sarovar Portico". The rooms have 90s classic ambience, the staff and people at reception are so professional. The hospitality was great and one of my female friend used to visit me often, stayed for a while and we had a great time. They are couple friendly, accepts local id and has no concerns with someone staying overnight or visiting in the room. Just make sure you book for 2 adults or 3, as per requirement. PS: You too have to be decent and maintain a stature, or else be it hotel or busy market, no one will give back the respect. My trip purpose was travel, official as well as visit. The only concern I had was about the wifi network which was going off in between & getting disconnected, even the speed was slow. The other thing is during checkout, they asked me to pay extra 600 for the refreshments (chocolates, drinks, chips, nuts), which they arranged in the room and most of them, I didn't even consume. Still they will still ask for the pay, if it is provided to you in the room. Adding on to that, the food prices are heavy on the pocket. However, on an higher level, I loved the pleasant and peaceful stay. I don't have any other concern at all. +1 to the reception service who immediately catered to all of my requests.

It has been a wonderful experience staying at this hotel with my family. The front desk and the housekeeping staff, especially Deepak and Harshit had catered to all out requests promptly and with a smile. Thankful to all of them. The location (Hazratganj) is very convenient and all modern facilites and services are close by. Would surely recommend others. Would surely stay here on our next visit to Lucknow. Thanks.

It was a lovely stay for me and my family. Staff corporation for Jain food and quick service is much appreciated. Housekeeping did a great job to keep our rooms neat and tidy. The ambiance of both the restaurants, ground floor and roof top is top-notch considering the cold windy weather. The location of the hotel was very convenient for our stay because local transportations were easily available, tourists spots, shopping lanes are at a close distance. There are many good things about this property in Lucknow.1) A boutique aesthetic 2) Location and 3) Functional and comfortable rooms .
Depending on your other experiences a stay at this property can delight you or feel familiar with what this category of hotel can offer. It does it’s best to create an ambience in both public spaces and rooms do look inviting.
Housekeeping is helpful and does a good job at keeping the rooms clean. The servers at breakfast are attentive and eager you enjoy the same.
Room service is disappointing as I ordered soup which was served poorly in that it was almost room temperature and accompanied with stale croutons. The wrap was unevenly cooked, chewy and hard to finish.
WiFi is very good and adequate to livestream content on Netflix.

The Hotel stay was nice, very polite and hospitable staff. Beds were soft and need some changes as we were not very comfortable in lying on the soft mattress. Breakfast needs some betterment. Location of the property is great, It's very close to all monuments, shopping areas and away from the heavy traffic zones.

This hotel is lovely. With an old-fashioned charm, it is a great change from generic modern hotels.
All the team worked hard to make things run smoothly for us e.g. quick laundry turn-around, good room service.
Particular thanks to Umesh in the restaurant, who was very attentive and made sure that meals were tailored to our taste.
