This was our first trip and we were quite concerned about the health & safety protocols being followed at Hyatt Lucknow. I rung up the Hotel and got through after several no replies. This was just to confirm whether the Hotel was operational (several properties were still shut). On receipt of a positive reply I went ahead and booked 2 rooms and was sure that Hyatt would taking all necessary steps to keep guests safe.
We reached a little early around 11 AM. Were denied early check-in and this was on expected lines. The grounds for denial were that rooms weren't available so early. On paying 50% half day charges the lady at the reception produced 2 rooms magically on the same floor and gave us our access key cards. Left a sour taste in my mouth. I have deducted 1 star for this.
The rooms were modern with everything in place. Comfortable beds, good central AC, sofa and a small writing table. Decent storage space and a large bathroom.
In-room dining was prompt and overall food quality was great. Breakfast was in their common restaurant and I disagree to gathering of people in the restaurant. May be they could have multiple locations to ease out the gathering of crowd.
The Hotel followed Covid-19 protocols and due credit must be given to them. Sanitizers on entry, temperature checks of everyone entering the premises, etc were being followed. Staff on Room service duty did not enter the rooms and everything like towels, tea sachets had to be taken by the guest themselves at the door (a great move).
Overall it was comfortable stay and credit to the team @ Hyatt Lucknow.

The staff was polite, especially Ajay's hospitality was great in the dining area. Rooms were well sanitized, overall a great experience, slight improvement in some areas is required such as the valet parking process. Sanitization of the car should be done before and after valet service.

I had to travel to Lucknow due to some important meeting and during these testing times, I wanted a place where I know that I will safe and secured in the sanitized environment. So while searching Internet I saw Hyatt Regency and all mu confusions were wiped away. Being an international hotel I was sure they will manage the hotel perfectly and sanitise every corner of the hotel. Everything was clean as per my liking every greeted me in the same Hyatt manner but this time it was with mask. The only negative point was that I wasn't able to see the staff smiling.

Locators not very appropriate and appealing if a valour is taking g car for parking he must clean it also it doesn’t seem nice dirty car coming out from a five star hotel and this service should b free of cost as price is too high and that major meal offered at night not too appropriate. At the breakfast also fruit provided were very cheap.papaya watermelon and pineapple were served which in the market u can get it at a low price in comparison too other fruits the standard should b maintained .

I had an ok stay overall. The property is good and service is fine overall. I however had a bad experience during checkin. Here is what happened:
My checkin process was extremely frustrating. I am used to showing my ID and giving a credit card while checking in. Here is what happened during check-in process here:
1. When I did that here, the person checking us in said she wanted to see a confirmation.
2. Network coverage was low and internet spotty, so I was having trouble pulling up the confirmation.
3. I asked her if she can't find my reservation by my name and why she needs a confirmation email: she replied she needs it.
4. I told her the network coverage was low and if I could use the hotel's wifi to pull up my confirmation: she replied no and said it's only for room guests
5. My wife showed her a half loaded screen on her phone and she said it wasn't enough and if we had something else.
6. I said without internet access, I couldn't show her anything. This back and forth continued for more than 15 minutes.
7. She then said said it's fine in a condescending tone and proceeded with the check in.
8. I asked her if she wasn't being able to find our reservation earlier: to this she replied our room was booked using the loyalty program and thus she needed to check our confirmation to ensure our identify. She also added that the loyalty program made the rates cheap and they are not that cheap normally.
I was extremely baffled and felt unwelcome by the whole process. I've no idea how the confirmation email would prove our identify. I had already given her my passport to prove my identify. I also didn't know what the connection with loyalty program, supposed cheap rates and the checkin process is. However tired after my more than 30 hours of travel I really didn't want to ask her these questions and just went ahead to my room.
I do hope the hotel staff are better trained.

I was in Lucknow for a day and chose Hyatt for my stay. The staff is well trained & helpful. You get an amazing view of the city if you opt for higher floor. Rooms are cosy and beautifully done. No bathtub in basic rooms. The swimming pool is opened from 7 am- 7 pm but the hotel doesn’t provides swimming costumes. Either bring yours or buy one from Decathlon store nearby. The food seems overpriced but the taste does justice to every penny you spend. Overall a nice stay!

Shahi Bala, our female in room dining server was extremely rude to us to mention at the least. To quote her replies during phone calls, " uff" showing annoyance whereas we were
the one being harrassed by getting calls 20 times in an hour.
The ridiculous rule of having to submit a deposit amount in order to access the room dining. We were invited
artists so our room was totally paid by the organisers. The reception guys didn't mention any rule firstly. Then after food order they wont accept signatures and wanted to be paid then and there. I spoke to several managers discussing the issue cause they were not providing any food or service. It was disgusting to be treated like criminals who would as if run away without paying. What sort of clientele do you serve as a 5 star property? With such disbelief and treating guests like this!

It is always a pity that a property that has been designed and constructed very well is ruined because of extremely poor service. That is exactly the case with Hyatt Regency, Lucknow.
The property is in a prime location in Lucknow. The rooms are well designed and quite comfortable.
Unfortunately, all aspects of service are poor.
I went to Lucknow on a work trip and booked two rooms well in advance of our arrival, including confirming the booking by providing my credit cards details. However, from three days prior to our arrival I kept getting calls from Hyatt asking me if I wanted to cancel my booking.
The experience at check-in was very bad with extremely rude staff (I will refrain from naming them). The entire check-in took a very long time in spite of having confirmed bookings.
House-keeping staff had no clue what needed to be done, showing a complete lack of training. This resulted in a bad experience in terms of room cleanliness. Rooms were not cleaned, sheets and towels remained dirty and toiletries were never refreshed. Since my stay was for a week, all of this led to a very bad stay experience.
While the food quality is good, the staff and servers are clueless. Not only do they not know what service in a F&B outlet means, they are argumentative and rude.
All in all, a very bad experience. Luckily, Lucknow now has many good hotels and I will not have to stay at the Hyatt again. In my opinion, unless the Hyatt management does something to improve service quality, this is a property that should be avoided.

I have visited this property 3 times. Last 2 were OK, but the service standards and food quality has gone down post Covid. Housekeeping is poor. Typically i stay for 4 nights, almost all Hyatt properties downgrade the room cleaning and housekeeping from day 2 (Toiletries missing, Face towels missing, room not vacuumed daily) Room service food is always overpriced but poor on quality and taste. Disappointed as i have been an eXplorists, but no effort shown by the people at the property.

I recently went to Lucknow on 29th feb and stayed at Hyatt, I checked in at around 10:30pm and was ready to go to bed around 11:00pm but after an hour in the room I realize that the air condition was not working. I immediately dialled for help. and instead of changing my room the front-desk sends a mechanic who come with stairs and started fixing ac vent in middle of room. this was happening around 12am. after 15 mins he said it will work and went away. but after another 10 mins there was no cooling in the room. so I called again asking for Duty manager and I asked him for room change... he declined my request and said that the ac is working. and while speaking on phone power went off for 1 minute. then I asked him to come upstairs. when he arrives, power again went for 1 minute. he said that due to bad weather this is happening. I asked whether he can feel the cooling in room. finally after 5 more minutes he agrees with me. then he changed my room. In next room again the ac was not working. then I called again and again mechanic come after 10 mins saying that he fixed it from outside. finally at around 2:30am room started cooling. the worst experience of my whole life. however in contrast the Rocca restaurant was good and their staff was very friendly.
