If you’re around Lucknow, it’s totally worth staying a night or more at this beautifully done up Heritage Mansion of 40 rooms at a conveniently located and opulent Saraca Lacknow.
This white mansion is lovely, built in the 1930s, adored with bougainvillea in its courtyard and orange trees, with humming birds dancing around the place. The architecture of the place is amazing with steps leading to small balconies and verandas to explore. It’s rich in history, well maintained and clean.
The staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. The housekeeping head, Saba, manager at the roof top bar and everyone in team made sure I felt at home.
A Special shout-out and compliments to the Chef, who made the entire trip worth another thousand visits, with the BEST Mutton Awadhi Biryani and a fabulous breakfast spread. The spread had everything you would hope to have in lucknow and more. Right from the typical South Indian breakfast to Lucknowi dishes and English too… what more can one ask for to start a fantastic day! Highly recommended!

Our stay in Saraca Lucknow was pleasant and comfortable. Location of hotel is central, and staff is extremely warm (Shyam ji very sweetly gave us a tour of property and Santosh ji was also very attentive) the reception office ppl (Abdullah, Shaba, Amir, Abhishek, Naish, Divya, Devesh ) were also very accommodating. Initially, we were little amused as to absence of ceiling fans but upon request we promptly received standing fans. Overall a nice feeling of heritage hotel stay. Cons: Although the breakfast spread is decent but taste was average. Also, the restaurant charges are unnecessarily costly we felt, before we left we had mango shake which was very average and the quantity of small glass and costed 600 bucks each plus taxes which was a little sore point for us since in the menu average charges for drink were 350! Will repeat it for the overall hospitality!

I recently stayed at Saraca Lucknow (Lebua) for one night with the hope of enjoying a pleasant getaway with friends. Regrettably, the experience fell far short of our expectations.
Prior to booking, I specifically inquired about the pool’s operational status. I was assured it was open, but upon arrival, I discovered there was some construction work going on and was assured that we can use the pool the next day. The following day, the pool was still unusable, and the water was dirty with ants present.
We had reserved two rooms. Unfortunately, one room’s air conditioning was not working despite multiple requests for assistance, forcing us to share a single room for most of the night. We checked in late, around 2-3 PM, and were left to suffer in the heat with no resolution until 2 AM when another room was finally provided.
When addressing the issues with the morning management, particularly Abhishek, we were directed to speak with Mohsin, who had handled our reservation. Despite explaining our plight to Divya, the manager, we were offered nothing more than a meal as compensation, which we denied. We requested either a reduction in room charges or an additional night’s stay but received no satisfactory response.
The rooms, although neat and clean, were small and did not reflect the luxury promised. Our special occasion was overshadowed by these issues, and we ended up checking out.
The lack of prompt assistance, repeated storytelling to different staff members, and overall disregard for our concerns were extremely disappointing. Given the high rating and cost, this was far from the experience we anticipated. I would not recommend this property based on our experience and would advise potential guests to proceed with caution.

This is best place to spend your valuable time with family and Also I experienced best hospitality by Armaan who is working here. All over the sevice was excellent and the cuisine was very hygienic. For Italian and Asian dishes Chef Sunil was very professional with his dishes. Keep it up!!

With a unique Awadh ambience, the hotel is run by well trained staff with lovable awadhi manners. Abdulla and Anish at the desk are great examples. Food at their restaurants is excellent too. Suggestions: 1 provide tissues box in the room. 2 bathroom needs freshening up, through ventilation or whatever.

Staying at Saraca Hotel, Lucknow was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. They were incredibly accommodating to all our requests, making our family stay seamless and comfortable. With two rooms booked, we truly appreciated the extra effort they put in to ensure everything was perfect for us.
A special shoutout to Akriti and Santosh—their warmth and attentiveness made all the difference! Whether it was helping with room preferences or making sure we had everything we needed, they went above and beyond.
Also, don’t miss their rooftop bar—easily the best in town! The vibe is immaculate, and their picante margaritas? Absolute perfection.
The ambiance, the service, and the overall experience? Such a vibe! Would definitely stay here again

We booked 5 rooms for a holiday and were extremely disappointed with the service and quality of rooms. 1. Barely any hot water in the shower. I complained the first day and was told they were going to look into it. Then I checked in the evening to confirm if issue was resolved and they said they resolved it. Then second day morning, same issue… no hot water. They then said that the pipe had broken, then another person said it’s an issue with heating system, all different versions which led us to feeling very frustrated. No intention of resolving issues. 2. Poor ventilation in the rooms - only heating system on and no ventilation. This ended up making us really sick waking up with headaches each morning. One of the rooms were provided with a very archaic pedestal fan. Nothing was done to address the issue. 3. Food at azrak is over rated - I personally felt that there was better food available at falak numa for fine dining or dastarkhwan or tunday if you want local food. Overall horrible experience staying in the rooms and property, the staff just says they will fix but no efforts made to fix. Not worth the money at all.

Self and wife went for a quiet lunch. The restaurant is ideally located, away from city’s hustle bustle. Ambiance is good wide window opening in garden and fountain. Light music fills the romantic environment. We went for an Asian meal. Chef Sunil & Miss Arfiya Fatima looked after us. We ordered vegetarian food. Tom Kha soup was tasty with flavours of kaffir lime and lemon grass. We also ordered Gyoza dim sum. It was steamed and then fried. Oil could have been slightly less. The burnt garlic onion dip was good. Main meal was green curry and rice. The masala for green curry was freshly made by chef and tasty. Fun of eating here was elevated with personalised attention paid by hostess and chef. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

I spend 5 days at the hotel. It is charming property. The staff, the bars and services are top notch. The rooms are not comfortable at all and it is way overpriced compared to the Taj.
Defence folks, please note that they have special rates for defence personnel. Speak to Usman at the hotel
Shyam who escorted me to the room is a chatty local, very lovely guy who knows the city. Usman at the reception who showed me his drone photography and a cool story about this school and the 1857 war of independence. The bar tender at the rooftop bar makes really good cocktails, I liked his own invention with jaggary and amala.
Now for the rooms, the fixtures are furnitures are not hotel standard at all. Some random handicraft bed, it hits the back wall every time I move. The bathroom door doesnt have a handle but a bolt, the room door does't have a chain or anyway to physically lock to door. The sofa's are wierd and very very uncomfortable. There are hardly any plug points, wierd place for USB ports, not plugpoints at the work area. Some old style cupboard where I can't fully hang a suit.
