Hotel is good and neat. Reception people are very reserved. They will not ask/talk even if you or 2-3 people stand in front of them. If you ask anything, their answer will be 'yes' or 'no' or 'don't know' only. No extra words. Not much helpful for any enquiries. Lift (only one small lift) is mostly occupied by their personnel.
Restaurant is very very costly like a 5 star hotel or more than it. But they don't even know the difference between various menus like tandoori tikka vs tikka masala, schezwan vs hakka noodles, etc. They keep cutleries on the table itself without any mat or plate. That was very much unhygienic. No wash basins. You have to wash hands down near the commode or goto swimming pool wash rooms. Needs lots of improvement.
Location is ok but felt like remote. No shopping area nearby or they don't know (when I asked for some shops).

A shame that the stay was not better in what promised to be an excellent hotel. WiFi is not hi speed as advertised, building work in the hotel including loud drilling and hammering continued at unsocial hours and into late evening despite many calls to reception and there was no hot water in the shower. Breakfast and staff in restaurant were good, beds comfortable - shame about unresponsive AC and noisy fan in rooms.

Visited Agra and stayed in Hotel Amar for a wedding. The Hotel is located at a central place which is hardly 13 minutes away from Taj Mahal. Costa coffee and Cafe coffee day are just a 2 minutes of walking distance.
Rooms are decent not that luxurious.
Food is decent.
Cleanliness in the hotel rooms and premises is not upto the mark.
The bell boys and the guards won't leave you until you tip them.
Overall experience: 3/5

Travelled long and came to hotel and staff didn’t give us the room early at least before one hour from checking time, we were really tired and staff treated us like bad manner and told us to use out side wash rooms where outsiders useing bathrooms 😒 you really should improve your customer service skills..(only men) it’s too bad who working in reception there laughing when they talk to us, we have already paid for our stay but. The ladies on reception was nice on next day!
Poor service, they want tips from guests and asking for it without giving any service, disgusting bathrooms.. rooms good, can’t sleep in the night too noisy. Be aware from room attendants, only one think I like the breakfast only….

Worst hotel to stay and worst staff to deal.
You have to beg for every service at the hotel like anything. If you want a plate in the room then you have to beg. If you required morning breakfast then you have to beg and if you are asking for any favor like early check in or late check out for 1 hour you also have to beg.
Waste of money and also so many Hood hotels around the area.

The stay at Amar hotel was truly an unforgettable experience for me and my team mates. We were given a huge room suite and it was placed with all comforts. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff is sweet and generous . All facilities were good. The swimming pool though needs to be managed as you feel cheated with paying 800 rupees for costumes . Great overall.

I am regularly bringing my groups to the Amar hotel. This is a really nice hotel, well located for early Taj Mahal visits.
What I like most if the great restaurant. They are always responsive to my clients’ wishes and try their best to make our stays there (and meals) best possible :-)

It was very pleasant to stay with amar hotel agra. Food was very delicious, nice property with so many facilities being noticed as , swimming pool, gym, restaurant staff made our stay so comfortable and was very cooperative in our whole day. Stayed for 1 night on 18 Jan, 2021. Ok ok Rooms. average breakfast. normal water in january not hot. Worst is their staff always banging on head for the tip, be it check in or check out, car park everywhere they need money. four people for our four bags surrounding our car while checking out, forcing for tip to everyone. very unprofesional. checkin time everyone need seperate tip or they are standing on your head and staring at you. very bad practise for a hotel of this type. Many more good option in this area in this budget. I dont recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Amar, loved the location-closed to everything and still more relaxed and quiet. The service has been outstanding. Concierge helped us efficiently with all bookings. Breakfast was great. Swimming pool was clean, in spite of raining, pool water was clean.
I met the Bar tender, very good person loved the way he served to me and to my friends.
Quality of food was excellent, had Non-Vegetarian snacks, even the main course was tasty.
Rooms are big, decent in size, reminds old Antique rooms. Cleanliness of the hotel was good, Housekeeping boys was very helpful
