One problem we only stayed one night. After our visit to the stunning Taj Mahal and the usual tourist detour “I want to show you how marble is being worked on”, we arrived at this absolutely stunning hotel Overlooking the Taj Mahal, well it did...More
The closest hotel to the Taj and yes each room has a view. We were on the 1st floor with a balcony view. The hotel is incredibly well appointed with attentive staff, great food and setting. A superb swimming pool. Each Oberoi property has something...More
While the rooms are very nice and the hospitality is great, the view of the Taj is okay as the trees in front have now grown higher and cover most of the Taj view. The food was okay...not the best I’ve had! If you’re looking...More
The views of the Taj from the room were priceless. The grounds and pool were world class excellent. The room was beautiful - right down to the Rose Petal Drawn Bath. The food - widely varied and perfectly prepared. The service, at every turn, was...More
From the first step entering this 5-start hotel until driving out again from this beautiful place you will feel extremely pampered. This time, we left the kids at home and celebrated our anniversary with just the two of us. Can't think of a better place...More

Although the hotel doesn’t offer buffet style food, I believe the Restaurant is open to non guests. The hotel offers very good Indian cuisine in the evening with a local musician playing a traditional Indian stringed instrument (possibly a swarmandal) through dinner providing the perfect atmosphere. There is a good range of food to choose from including less spicy dishes. The hotel restaurant offers two fixed sittings for dinner in the evening which should booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
I’d advise arriving earlier to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and to take in the incredible view either inside or out on the terrace.
If your day tour, time wise, doesn’t allow for an evening meal, the hotel has a second restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a separate bar and lounge.
