The retreat agra was an experience to remember . The hotel was not even fully operational due to the ongoing covid 19 situation but still they did not hesitate to cater to all the needs for the comfort of their guests. It was outstanding to say the least . The trip was an affair to remember.

Does not live up to its name! Tired and on need of an make over. Breakfast was tired and not appealing. Single bed was that single! Staff all hanging around for tips ! If a quick stop over, and that’s what it is, this is the place for you
Room very basic - breakfast was fun - stale cornflakes, lack of fresh milk dirty cups and plates!!! Not a place I would stay again Room Single beds were very narrow - nearly fell out! Ok if you want a quick overnight stay..
Excellent ambience. Taj Mahal east exit is very near. One can even walk and go if he is walk enthusiast. Many places within agra are near by and max Rs 100 in Auto. The food is nice and affordable rates also especially at this level of hotel standards. Staffs are very courtesies and welcoming. Will stay again if i come to Agra again.
We were in room 208 at the very end of the corridor. The room was very spacious with an en suite bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable and we had tea making facilities and a safe deposit box in our room. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide range of food available. We ventured into the bar but it was "hotel prices" so didn't stay long. Unfortunately the pool was being refurbished. The hotel is close to the Taj Mahal. A very nice stay at this hotel and the staff were great.
Excellent location just few mins to Agra Fort & Taj Mahal, very helpful Staff, Delicious food and most importantly comfortable rooms. Though room floors & mattresses need updating but still very comfortable. Very accommodating Front Desk Team, Restaurant Staff ( Satish the best server ), Room Service Team and Housekeeping Team everyone is superb.
Here is what we liked about The Retreat. The room (superior double) was spacious, modern and clean, and the bed was large and comfortable. There was lots of fruit at breakfast, and the breakfast omelette was good. Here is what we did not like: Lousy wifi. No help at all when we asked about the wifi. A random phone call to our room at 11:30 at night that woke us up. A room near the main road, where the cacophony of horns made it unpleasant to sit in the room during the day (fortunately the traffic died down at night). And, finally, the hotel messed up our booking, and then acted as if it was all our fault. We originally booked in early January. A few days later we decided to change our booking to one night, rather than two. I wrote to the hotel and told them this. I called the hotel and was told "yes, ma'am, it's fine". When we arrived, they showed us our booking *with my message saying that we were going to arrive on January 25 at the top of our booking." But then they acted as if the confusion was all of our fault, and tried to charge us for two nights. We were seriously unimpressed.…
Stayed here as part of a 10 day tour of Sri Lanka. It's very close to the Taj, but the location isn't brilliant. We tried to go out for a walk /explore during a free couple of hours, but were continually harassed by tuk tuk drivers and hawkers. Location maybe not in the best part of town. Food good and reception staff helpful. We didn't get to use the pool as it relies on the sun for heat and it was overcast while we were there.
This hotel is in a poor location, would not recommend staying as you are far from everything. Unsuitable for exploration of the area. Staff were not helpful in helping us find a local restaurant to eat. They pointed us down a dark road with no restaurants and could only recommend the hotel bistro. We found one restaurant on our own, a gem on a dark night was Relish (highly recommend this restaurant at least!)
