The overall stay at Taj was flawless. When we entered we were greeted with welcome drinks and guided to the room. Also on informing that we were there to celebrate 10th Anniversary, our room was decorated and cake was there when we returned back to room in the evening which was a very good surprise. The property is well managed and food is absolutely amazing. We took buffet lunch which was delicious and had buffet breakfast before leaving in the morning. Everyone at Taj was very helpful and empathetic. Also we saw the evening show with a history of Taj Mahal and how Taj mahal looks in different lights which was a nice orientation and we saw pupet show and my son particularly enjoyed kids club and pottery making. Thanks to Taj family for making our 10th Anniversary special. Happy to recommend Taj to everyone.

This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the Taj Mahal - provided you don’t mind running the gauntlet of the Tuk-Tuk drivers! In fairness they were all polite and moved on when you declined their services.
The hotel was very clean, and the rooms a good size, if showing their age a little. Some of the laminate floor was peeling, but they were spotlessly clean, and the room attendants always asked you if there was anything you needed when they saw you. The only real complaint was that we could not get any channels on the TV throughout our 3 day stay, and it didn’t get fixed despite reporting it to reception on 2 separate occasions.
The bar on the roof was really nice. Unfortunately it is so nice that there was a private function up there for 2 of the days we stayed. In our last afternoon there was no function so we could enjoy the food, cold beer and views across to the Taj Mahal.
The club lounge was very comfortable with drinks and snacks during the evening cocktail hours, a nice outside area to sit too. We were really surprised that hardly anybody used it. Our gain, their loss.
This is a big hotel, and if you are in the rooms above the reception block the it is a fair walk to the restaurant where the breakfast buffet is, just something to be aware of. Well worth the walk though, great food and excellent staff. On our last morning one waiter asked if we were leaving that day and he made up a box of pastries to keep us going during our drive to Delhi. Amazing service!
It was my wife’s birthday while we were there and they decorated the room with balloons and happy birthday banners. They even gave us a cake in the room. Little touches like that make happy memories.
If it hadn’t been for the room being a little tired and the TV not getting fixed this would have got all 5 stars, shame to mark it down on little matters, it really is a great hotel.

Family holidays with grandkids infuse one with energy that one never knew one had . And though time is fleeting these memories I know will last till eternity . Recently we had a very spirited visit to Agra with our grandkids , again choosing to stay at our favoured chain the Taj Hotel.
And yet again their hospitality exceeded our expectations . Rooms are well done , prices fairly reasonable besides Taj hotel is close to the the Taj Mahal , within miniutes we were at our destination choosing to see the grand momument very early in the morning to beat the crowds .
After the grand tour we were back in time for the buffet breakfast which was par excellence.
Dinner again was delightful . Chef Ravi's personal attention, especially with his delectable Chinese-style prawns with vegetables , savoury dim sums , grilled poultry , sumptuous sandwiches had us relish our meal . The presentation of all dishes was superb too.
Our gratitude extends to the outstanding staff—Rishi, Harinder, Vijay, Rahul, Virat, and Manish—who made our stay memorable. They carry the Taj brand of hospitality excellently .
The person who stood out and stole our hearts was Kajal, with her winsome smile, showcasing exceptional skills despite being deaf and mute. We appreciate Taj Hotel's commitment to inclusivity by employing individuals with special needs. This gesture in particular left a lasting impression.
As longtime patrons of the Taj group of hotels, we are thrilled with our experience and look forward to continuing our preference for they are exceptional in more ways than one .

I stayed in room no 289 for 1 night over the weekend. Firstly, we were part of a group of 7 families and right at the time of reservation, we asked allotment of all 7 rooms together, but that request was ignored and we got rooms on different floors. The room was spacious enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. Had requested bday decoration in the room, which was a below average one - 5 balloon bunch and a runner saying happu birthday. I really expect better from Taj hospitality. The in room dining was hopeless. I required my own milk to be warmed and filed up in my own baby feeding bottle for my 3 year old , but that was such an ordeal. As the in room dining woudk just not prioritise the request and the entire activity would take 30 mins from their side, which was very harrowing for the mother. The cherry on the cake was my request for an extra mattress for my 8 year old, which I requested at 6pm in the evening to be put in the room while I would be away for dinner and I mentioned to them to do between 9 to 10pm. But the request was royally ignored. I had to beg them by calling atjwast 6 times at 11pm with 2 kids crying to sleep and finally it was put at midnight. I really don't expect such hostility, ignorant attitude from taj hospitality. I would skip considering the Taj chain for any of my future holidays.

There is a marked difference between Taj "Taj" hotels and Taj "third party owner" hotels. This is the latter and it clearly shows. Rooms are dated. Staff tries very hard to look and behave professional but gaps are evident. Breakfast service is sub standard. Juice glasses were missing and so many guests were waiting to fill up. It took ages to get those glasses. We ordered one masala and one cheese omelette and we got one masala cheese omelette. Food trays were lying in corridor from morning till night with no one bothering to clear it. Please see video attached. Check out was the last nail in the coffin. We had to wait 25 minutes for our bags to come down. When we confronted the bell captain he said they are getting bags of 3-4 rooms in one trolley. Absolutely shocking. Even a mediocre 1 star hotels doesn't do that. What if shopping bags got mixed? Will never go there again.

The initial check-in experience was disappointing, as the washroom in the room assigned to us appeared to have been used and may not have been properly inspected. However, the manager promptly addressed the issue by upgrading us to a newly constructed Club Room, which was much better. Following this, the staff was very attentive, consistently seeking feedback and ensuring our stay was comfortable.

->Large, business hotel in the center of Agra from where you can organize a visit to the Taj Mahal on foot. Also consider a bike ride through the countryside around Agra. ->Very large entrance hall (WOW) in a Christmas atmosphere with businesslike, correct staff. ->Very spacious bedroom with part of the carpet that did not look clean. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, sufficient drinking water, bathrobes and slippers. ->Large, modern bathroom (bath and shower) with a wide range of products. ->Beautiful infinity pool (too cold for a dip in December) and rooftop bar with a view of Taj Mahal. ->Breakfast buffet and evening buffet were very tasty and something for everyone. The restaurant was very large and therefore noisy. ->We experienced the transition from old to new here. Wow, what a party!!! Delicious, abundant buffet, beautiful setting (beautifully decorated) and, above all, lots of ambiance with a live band! A New Year's Eve you will never forget.

One of the most friendliest group of chefs and waiters. Chef Ashish had assisted us with the utmost care and even suggested Indian desert delicacies. Mahesh was one of the waiters that took care of our table needs - cutlery was provided timeously and tables cleared as we requested. The buffet is definitely worth it.
