Good for walkers

Hotel Alpine was a very average accommodation. Nothing great about it, nothing horrible. Beware of reading reviews though. As I was leaving the manager sat me down and made me fill out a glowing review. He was telling me everything to write and made sure I didn't mention any of the real issues. Although he was generally a friendly guy, he was very aggressive in making me write the review (So I'm sure this place is likely rated higher than it should be). He also insisted on me tipping him for everything. Basically the place was just alright. My room was oddly damp and had no hot water. The TV was also broken. Just a 20 minute walk from the Taj Mahal though.

We had a conference in Agra. I was there in Alpine for 5 days. The stay was superb n staff was very nice n polite. Whatever we asked was delivered in minutes wheather it was hot water or room heaters. Once we were late to hotel n were worried abt the dinner n we called Mr Ram prakash manager of the hotel to arrange dinner n he made the cook to stay back just for two of us n we had hot dinner at night 12.30.

After getting in to Agra I searched for hotel and after 3-4 visit finally landed into Alpine. When compared with other hotels in same budget range I found Alpine to be quite decent. Though mine was very short visit(evening to morning) but still i can say hotel is pretty decent in the budget. Rooms are good and clean. Service was also fine. Only thing which i noticed later when I checked out was that food is quite expensive. For 4 tea and 2 paneer paranthas i was charged somewhere around 600-700. I was in hurry so didn't noticed till I left Agra. Other than this its good budget hotel. So all in all value for money(if you bargain hard for room rents)
P.S. people expecting a lot please stay away !

Pros Location Pricing Nearby bikanervala and Taj Mahal
Cons Given unclean room full of mould initially. Even second room on 2and floor has smell which they try to cover with Room Freshner
No cleaning until asked Staff have no sense of privacy. They even stand nearby watching you eat your food
Overall not worth the money . You can get better hotels nearby.

An average place to stay, choose it if you don't have an option. Nothing fancy about the place except the location. The rooms were bad , linen was not clean and the overall up keep of the room was not good at all. The bathroom had leakages and traffic noise was always there as the window was not sound proof at all.
The staff is average but not professional. The food which i ordered was good had dal makhani and roti.
The gyser will be switched on centrally so u need to tell the reception. The furniture and other bed were all worne out.

I cannot believe that this hotel will go to the extent of removing my earlier review! We reached this hotel on the night of Dec 15, 2012, at 9.30 pm and the manager who was clearly drunk by that time looked at our reservation printout from hotwire.com and said "Call Hotwire.com and find out when we will get paid - will it be before you leave or after?". It turned out that the hotel had no rooms even though we had already paid for one! They simply do not know how to keep reservations!! The manager then sent us on a wild-goose chase to a sister hotel called Hotel Alpine Inn (according to him). This hotel was half-built, completely dark, had no signs, and beyond the city limits. One look at this "hotel" and we decided to swallow our money and our pride, and look for another hotel.

This was by far the cheapest hotel I stayed in during my India visit. Cost me about $20 for a twin sharing room. The room had an aircon but had no heating arrangement which was unacceptable.
The bathrooms were a mess and so were the electrical points in the room.
It was just a 1 nighter for me so couldn't care less.
The staff was very helpful and co operative. They were available around the clock and were just a phone call away. Room service was good too.
Food was average.

The hotel owner first agreed to hotel room INR 999/- inclusive all taxes with tripple sharing and one bed extra in each room. finally not given the bill for 12 rooms. Mattress you leave alone not even the drinking water was available for guest and finally no bill given for amount paid. payment taken in personal account and denied each promise. total amount receipt not given. food was useless. put one agent behind each tour member for their own benefit. Don't trust them for anything. late night harassment to customer....no electricity back up... not good for stay if thinking of pleasure trip...

We had booked a Deluxe room in Hotel Alpine (Agra) for 4 days and did make the full payment in advance via. agoda.com. We got the confirmation email after successful hotel booking. But unfortunately the hotel did not provide any rooms though we had reached on the booked date that too in the late evening. The reason they said was unavailability of the rooms. So we had to leave the hotel coz it was too late and we did not want to waste our energy and time in at that time of the night. Luckily i had gone with my colleague and not with my family or else i would have had more difficulty at that time of the night.....Finally we booked a room in another hotel by paying money from our pocket....
And insisting a lot to the staff there at the hotel Alpine, they agreed to send a mail to agoda.com regarding this issue. But i wasted some time & energy for this unnecessarily.
But i was happy when the staff from agoda.com contacted me via phone as well as email as soon as i informed the issue to them the very next day. They were good enough to refund my money (complete refund) back within 5 working days. I have to thank agoda.com for their response.
Thus i had a bad experience with the hotel and i would not recommend it if you are going for some serious work there at Agra.
