A beautiful and historic building inside and out, the entrance hall is stunning. We had such a friendly and warm welcome from our hosts and their very friendly Golden Retrievers. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the warm marble cake. Sad we were there for such a short time. A great location for exploring Agra.
This homestay is truly remarkable compared to some we had been to. The rooms are gigantic, beds comfortable and Kori the owner makes you feel like part of the family. She would breakfast with us each day and on arrival sat us down in her garden pavilion and fed us masala chai and homemade biscuits. She is a remarkable Lady. Her Chef Pinku is fabulous as well and my friend and I had a private cooking class with him( needs to be around in advance) which we also sat down and ate with Kori in the main house. Chef Pinku delighted in showing us his interpretation of generations of handed down recipes. Our room was not serviced but this did not bother us in the slightest as we were only there for 2 night and whatever we asked for we were given graciously
This is honestly a home away from home - staying in one of only 6 guest rooms with Anand family will give you the impression and feeling to be paart of the family. Rooms have all needed comfort including coffee/tea maker and breakfast is really good. If possible ask to join the family dinner - awesome! Loved to stay there!
If you look for a place that is not like a standard hotel, this is the place to be. Unfortunately, we have stayed only one night but that was a pleasure from the reception till the leave. We've been greatly welcomed and had dinner with the family. We had great discussions together forgetting we were hosts... we were like in the family ! I was a bit sick and it was taken into account... great moments of share ! Moreover, in the morning, you have your breakfast while chatting with the grand mother who is so friendly and can talk forever explaining lots of stories ! Thank you all for the good stay and hope to see you again once !
My friends and I stayed at Awtar mansion while we were in Agra to see the Taj Mahal. We received the friendliest and most hospitable service from Kori and her family and had the most relaxing stay here out of our entire trip round India. Their homemade food was delicious and they were incredibly knowledgable with tips and suggestions for places to eat and things to see in Agra. We felt like we were part of their family when we stayed here, honestly can’t recommend this place enough!
The rooms are commodious and comfortable, the beds good. Having a cocktail in the garden and supper in the family manse is a treat indeed. Breakfast is the best. One feels as if you have found a long last part of your family.
What a gem! Set apart from the city centre and down a quite road but not so far from any where really. Managed by a family that are very welcoming and inviting. We joined them for our meals and even had photos taken with them, they are so friendly. We ate in their home which is separate from the accommodation. The room we had was on the ground floor and very quite and calm. We were told they often had business people staying with them so it was usually quite. The room had good facilities and was quite big. The ensuite worked very well as did the air conditioning. A separate area had a fridge and kettle so we were able to cool our water for our trip to Taj Mahal. The meals we ate with the family were delicious. Apparently the cook trained with Nigella Lawson and one dish he made with sweetcorn was so good I forgot I was having a problem with dairy food and just had to eat it! The gardens are really lovely too and there is a nightwatchman just in case. Such a wonderful place I find I cannot recommend it enough. …
I stayed there in December for 3 nights with my parents, my16yr old daughter and 11 yr old son. My daughter was sick and wasn't able to join us on sightseeing. Our hosts took good care of her while we were out and prepared lovely home made dinner so we didn't have to go out. The accommodation is cozy although the hot water was sporadic and the heater didn't work initially (they had to replace it but did so quickly). The breakfasts as well as dinners were fantastic and the hostess even took us around for a tour of her family home. We feel very much at home there!
Amazing place i have ever seen in agra, infrastructure is amaazingggg👌 high tea, rooms and all the arrangements were amazing . It was such a homely place i will recommend everybody to atleast visit once.
