Stayed for 3 nights towards the end of Jan 21. Just 2 minutes walking distance from the Shilpgram parking. From this parking Tajmahal East gate is just 700 mts. Cars can come upto this parking. In order to go to tajmahal, you have to hire a golf cart or rickshaw or tonga from here. Golf cart rste Rs 10 per head. Or you can simply walk on. It will take less than 10 minutes. 7/8 km from Agra Cant and Agra Fort stns. Ola/Uber is avlbl. It is a small, 3 storied hotel with 8 rooms. More than a hotel, it has a home like ambience. All rooms have private balcony. Backside rooms have swings and front ie. roadside rooms have rocking chairs in the balcony. Rooms are very spacious and aesthetically decorated with nice paintings. Lobby on each floor also tastefully decorated. There is an ac, a small fridge, electric kettle and tea-coffee kits in the room. If required, they can provide room heater (@ Rs 100 per day, though ultimately they did not charge it from us). Between the room and bathroom there is a dressing area with a big mirror and a wardrobe with a locker inside it. What is most interesting, the bathroom has a ceiling fan. And all the fittings in the bathroom are spic and span and perfectly working. There is no separate geyser in each room but they have a centralized geyser from which hot water is available on taps 24 hrs. Though it is only a 3 storied bldng, it has a lift. All the furniture, doors and windows have a aristocratic look, there is no cheapness anywhere. Bedsheets, towels absolutely clean. Quilt quality very good. Even at 7/8 degree at night we slept comfortably. There is a restaurant and a souvenir shop at the ground floor. What is most important, all the staff are extremely well-mannered and helpful. One night during our stay we were a bit late returning from sightseeing, by that time their restaurant was closed. But they called in their chef and readied dinner for us. Room rent taken from us was Rs 1200 per day (breakfast not included at this rate). Room rent is negotiable. Overall a memorable stay and highly recommendable. Found this home after escaping from a nearby "hotel" It's on the main drag so expected some noise but had a back room and the only noise was as normal, from other guests. Room was big and well equipped, breakfast was ok, joint restaurant served very nice food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, you won't go wrong by choosing this place.
A perfect stay with family Spacious, clean & classy rooms with balcony & swing Great Location near to Taj All daily essentials & souvenir shops nearby Owner & Caretakers very good. Felt like home... Highly Recommend
Pearl of Taj is a little over 1 km from the Taj Mahal East Gate (approx a 15 minute walk), whilst also a short walk to several local eateries. As such its very conveniently located and a good jumping off point for a day or two in Agra. The staff were friendly and the rooms a good size with (i believe) all back rooms having a small balcony. Beds were good and slept well both nights. The description states they accept card, however this is cash only. There are several ATMs nearby but worth noting! Overall, an enjoyable stay.
Awesome homestay with awesome hospitality. We were group of 14 people stayed here for 2 days. Rooms were neat and clean with ample space. Location of homestay is perfect with just 100m far from Taj Mahal eastern gate parking lot. Owner of the property Mr Gaurav is a genuine and very helpful person. He was available all the time to assist us in every possible way. Do discuss your plans with him, so that he will guide you in best way. Same was the case with his staff. All were very supportive. Restaurant food was at affordable price. It tastes very delicious with limited spices. You can also customised as per your requirement. Best part is owner has showroom with good collection of gift items. Being their guest you will get good discount on all the items. In overall we all had a great time with homely feel in one of the best homestay of Agra...…
After a tiring journey one always hopes to find a haven of tranquillity and pleasant service and when we arrived at the Pearl of Taj it was exactly that! Walking into the lobby we instantly felt at home: cool dark wood and whitewashed interior reminiscent of an upscale ryokan in Japan: comfortable sofas, books and magazines and glimpses of greenery in the courtyard beyond. The young proprietor Gaurav is charming and sophisticated, the genial manager Pradeep a mine of information about India and it's cultural traditions. Our room was excellent- all the comforts of a good hotel and a delightful wooden hanging seat on the balcony, AND a good reading light which is such a rarity these days. Spotlessly clean too. We ate lunch and dinner there, as well as breakfast and the food was fresh and delicious. It's a very short walk to the shuttle bus station and when we arrived at the Taj Mahal ticket office around 06.30 it was deserted- no long queues in the sun- so we had a very pleasant and relaxing visit, and then moved on to the red sandstone Fort which should not be missed. Check out the huge stone bathtub of the beautiful and feisty Empress Nur Jahan which was filled with roses when she bathed. We bought spicy teas and rose soaps and glittery pens from the souvenir shop a couple of doors away from the Home Stay and linked to it. Easy shopping. No pressure. All in all a very good place to stay and highly recommended!…
We went on an Airbnb booking. Our initial Agra booking was cancelled by Airbnb and Airbnb had given us this place instead. Did not enjoy it very much and the Window AC was very loud. Free breakfast wasn't great either. Dirty bedding was the scariest part.
Brilliant location as just 10 mins from Taj. Rooms ok but a bit out of date. Does fine for getting to Taj at sunrise. For those requiring beer, wine and spirits . All in 30 seconds of front door. Delightful staff.
Visited Agra last week and had stayed at this place. Very beautiful place and a very affordable price. It has all luxury amenities like A/C, fridge, cute balcony etc. Their service is excellent and breakfast is good too. I would recommend this place to anyone who wish to stay at Agra. Taj Mahal is really close by too. Special mention for Mr. Pradeep who was the manager. His hospitality was simply great and rarely we can see such level of dedication to serve the customers.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. Our room was large and equiped with coffee and tea making facilities as well as the usual hotel toiletries. Ample room to store your things in the wardrobe. Our room was clean and airy and the breakfast more than adequate bearing in mind the charges levied for your stay. The hotel is very near to two ATMs and about 100 to 200 metres from the shuttle services which take you up to the East Gate ticket office. It's only 10INR per person to take this and well worth it as you will be doing a fair amount of walking when sight seeing. There was no problem storing our luggage until we were ready to leave for the station and in fact as it was raining we were welcome to sit in the Reception lounge until our taxi arrived.…
