Probably the best offbest stay i've seen in the last decade. Very basic interms of your stay and food but makes up for it with the VIEW and KINDNESS of the locals. Truly unmatched beauty. Do not go if you are not a wild life enthusiast or a corporate gang who just want to play volley ball and drink the night out.

A complete wild place! Highly recommended to people who love, understand and respect wild. We were 3 of us who stayed for 2 nights, just enjoying descent fresh delicious food, lazed out on the balcony with eyes and ears wide open to spot and hear the wild. We were able to spot a Bear( What an experience), Dear, Indian Gaur and plenty of birds. Karthik, who manages the property is an amazing person who has immense knowledge on the wild is the go to person. He took great care of us and the boys in the kitchen where good too. Cant wait to get back to this place. Arjun

No words can describe the awesomeness of this property and their service. It's a jungle bungalow located amidst dense forest and you are surrounded by mountains and wild animals. We went with low expectations and we were wrong. Their service is amazing. Mr. Karthik (the manager) was so kind and informative. He is a Gem of this property. Must appreciate the cook who served us ultra delicious food all the day. Right from treks to arranging bonfire.. everything was amazing. This is a jungle lodge and not a luxury wildlife resort... it is completly safe. We spotted wild bison, deer. Tiger was not in our luck. Maybe next time. Love this place and will recommend 100% to everyone. Thank you Hemant Chordia (Owner) Ignore the fake negative review down under. Can't believe it. Just go and experience the Heaven.

I went with my family in May 2019 for Ooty trip and booked this place, through vista rooms, thinking its amidst nature. After payment I got a call from caretaker of the property saying that please reach before 530 pm anyhow as this property is amidst thick forest. I will list down all the issues we faced once we reached: 1. We were told that vehicle will be parked outside the property and we need to walk for some 500 meters to reach the property. Truth: Its not a 500 meter walk instead its a 1 km uphill trek which we have to do daily to reach the room and there is no concrete path for that! With minimum rain, it becomes damn slippery. You need to carry your partial luggage in these conditions. They will send people for luggage but they cannot take complete luggage. (We took 2 suitcase with one sack, we took our sack and dragged one suitcase). Also we have seen a wild animal bison in the property path. Mind you this animal can attack you without any intimidation and its very very strong animal. 2. We were told that property is amidst forest so there will be no coverage. Truth: I accept there was no coverage but there was no electricity even. There was no electricity for 2 alternate nights, it was pitch dark, and ROOM WAS FULL OF FLIES. Even If we want to use mosquito repellent there is no option as no electricity. I have never seen any resort/hotel with no electricity backup. You are charging atleast 3500 inr per night!!! With common sense, we would never ask any hotel that whether you have tv/fan/tube lights or not! This is the first hotel I have seen in my entire life that it does not have either of above. When asked, they say that we want guests to stay away from mobiles/tv or any other sort of entertainment and enjoy nature. First of all, it becomes pitch dark at 630 pm and then the property is fenced so that no wild animal can come inside; we are not allowed to go out after 6 pm. What nature we can enjoy when its pitch dark and no electricity and that so many flies and mosquitoes around! Also, it should be customers choice whether she/he wants to sit with nature or browse some tv channels or surf internet! They have sort of zero watt bulbs in rooms and in premises! They do not provide fresh towels everyday. We stayed for 3 nights and we used same towels everyday. Hotel is not at all clean. Washrooms were also dirty. I WILL NEVER ASK ANY HOTEL THAT YOU PROVIDE DAILY FRESH TOWELS OR NOT! These things are taken as granted in hotel business! Lastly, they say that there is no need of fan as nights becomes very cold. How can you say that I will not need fan, it should be customers choice whether to use fan or not! 2 nights were damn humid and we were not able to sleep properly. 3. They say its with breakfast. Truth: Yes, they do serve breakfast but there is no choice for that. They will prepare fried items with few other things. You should provide few options as well. Also, water which comes in bathroom is soil colored. There is no filtration facility and there is no drinking water. They will give you water bottles which is with cumin seeds. 4. 5000 inr deposit taken with promise of returning it within 5 working days after checkout. Truth: Its been already more than 10 days with multiple follow ups but there is no response and they do not even pick up phone calls! 5. They say you will able to spot wild animals at a distance of some 500 meters. Truth: A flat lie! Animals are on the top of hills and they can be seen only with binoculars. Also, you cannot spot any tiger anytime. Its a complete lie! This place is of very high cost when compared to facilities given! NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED, specially for old age people and the ones who has issues in walking!

What an amazing place... I think we all visit mountains for weather, tranquility, and being with ourselves in midst of nature. And this exactly is missing in most hill stations with a flood of tourists, traffic and a lot of hassles. But not here at Wild Walkers! We got to stay close to the nature without any distractions... watched as clouds & mist flew in enveloping us, and also a clear starry sky. Trekked a nearby mountain (we were the only ones there), and also relaxed sun bathing on a rock just in front. Simple appointments & facilities help you stay one with the nature, without any interruptions from ‘modern day luxuries’, and you realise those really do not matter at all. All this aided with conversations & hospitality of Karthik, one-in-all Manager, Guide, Nature enthusiast, Chef, and a friend. Looking forward to visit here again.

Points that would make your stay better: 1. Visit along with your friends or a group of 3 couples. 2. Have your own vehicle. It saves time. This place is 15 kms from Ooty. 3. Guys who love nature and trekking will have their best time here. 4. Mornings are pleasant. Night are thrilling as well as magical when clouds pass through the house. 5. Carry basic medicines. 6. Mr Karthik will make your stay a lovable one. Staff here are very cordial and knowledgeable. 7. Breakfast, Snacks and Dinner were simple and yummy. Only vegetarian though. 8. Bonfire with Snacks was simple superb. Sometimes you feel like spending the whole day here.

The view from the whistling schoolboy room was a treat to the eyes. Amazing interior as well. Apart from that, I saw Bisons, Deer, Bear and heard Tiger's roar in the night. A perfect bonfire in the evening to end the day was magical.
