I am writing this review in appreciation of the excellent service provided by Accord Highland Resort for Birthday celebrations of my Friend during my latest stay at ooty. I requested in advance for a room decoration and candle light dinner however on 29th March they were unable to arrange the same due to full house. However on 30th March they did make birthday room decoration with flowers, cakes, and balloons at a very nominal charge. The hotel was totally full, but still the guys tried hard to provide the best of services. The food was good , rooms very nice and most importantly we felt very homely. Its not a resort with garden or indoor games and activities, but at the deal we got it in, it had enough privacy for people and ideal location near the mountains so we were happy. I thank to The frontdesk members , the helpers, the sweet housekeeping members and the members at restaurant all were all helpful and support to me with all the arrangement I requested . The candle night arrangement and decoration made with flowers decorating it was outstanding..

Accord Highland never fails to impress. This was our second stay at their property, and it was just as excellent as last time. Be it service, food or activities, there is absolutely no compromise on their end. Speaking of food, Accord Highland's breakfast is a wonder in itself! Even though every single one of their dishes are polished with quality and presentation, there is something about their breakfasts that will leave you stunned.
Coming to safety, there were no negligences displayed as well. There were numerous sanitization centers in the premises having sanitisers, free masks, gloves etc. The staff adhered to social distancing guidelines and donned a mask at all times as well.
Activities/experiences like the ATV ride have been enhanced from the last time we were here. Games and activites conducted during evening bonfires were very creative and fun.
All in all, I applaud Accord Highland for maintaining their high and premium standards and not letting COVID hinder the customer experience.

After hours of digging into hotel reviews we booked this hotel for our 4 night stay. I must say it was superb! The management has thought of many things to keep their guests happy while staying with them. They have a super enthusiast event manager Sivakumar who handles their lovely well equipped play area, well stocked library and movie screening for kids and the campfire.The hotel is not close to the market but we dint miss anything because we were busy all day at the play centre with our kids. They also have ATVs for kids n adults which is reasonably priced than other destinations.Their food was good with buffet and a la carte options and fairly priced so we dint have to look for local restaurants. The rooms were nice and comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains and clouds would come in if you kept your windows open on a rainy day...we had that opportunity:) Highly recommend this place for family with kids and would love to return back for their lovely hospitality.

After looking into the reviews posted and decided to book this hotel for our 2 night stay( 29th Feb to 2nd March). I must say it was superb! The management has thought of many things to keep their guests happy, found all staff helpful, polite and happy to help attitude . Their food was good with buffet and a la carte options and fairly priced so we didn't have to look for local restaurants.They have a super enthusiast manager K. B Manigandan and the head chef who handles food area very well. When I wanted to travel to ooty for business purpose I was much worried about the safety due to this pandemic. But when I contacted sathish from Highland he assured me of the safety normals in place at the hotel. With confidence I booked and when I visited I was much comfortable with the safe measures in place. They sanitize the common areas frequently and the social distancing was practiced at every step. The rooms were clean and neat. But since they sanitize it you will have a sanitizing smell but not aggressive ( this makes sure that your room is safe). I would recommend this place for sure.

The room is really spacious and clean. They give basic amenities like tooth paste, soap, kettle, locker, etc. They also provide 24hrs hot water facility.
The room service is excellent when we request room heater they provided it immediately. The breakfast buffet is super.Â
The tea kadai concept is really thoughtful.The view from the lawn area is so beautiful.
The assistant manager Mr.Manikandan is really helpful and supportive. All the staffs are attending the guests with a smile and treating them with a very good way.Â
The chef is very polite and calm he gladly accepts our request in food.Â
They also give accommodation for the driver by giving the bunk bed and bed sheets. Overall its a perfect stay.
The only thing which I feel is the restaurant menu has only limited options.

Few days back I planned a trip to Ooty and had a very nice outing after an year. I was skeptical about timing of trip due to Covid but as it was my first anniversary so wanted to plan some trip to make it special. We searched lot of hotels and our main criteria was sophisticated and well maintained hotel which has taken care of all sanitation precautions and at the same time we wanted activities within the hotel as we didn’t planned for local sightseeing (anyways only 3 tourist place was open then). We booked Accord Highland after going thru lot of reviews. It turned out to be quite good decision. The hotel is located nicely near Doddabetta junction (walking distance) with nice view to mountains. Staff is quite nice, very courteous and guest friendly. Right from check in, they gave us room with nice view, have lots of sports (indoor and outdoor activities) to engage. Luckily when we traveled on 10th then all tourists places opened by then and we went for local sightseeing as well. We asked hotel restaurant staff for special candle light dinner for my anniversary and they planned it very well with very nice decorations, music and awesome food (chef obliged us with out of the menu items as well and all were really delicious). Staff was very supportive and really made our anniversary celebration awesum (my wife was too impressed and happy off-course as we didn’t expected such celebration due to covid).
This review would not be complete without mentioning special thanks to few of staff members. Restaurant manager Manikandan managed very well candle light dinner and has been very courteous and cooperative throughout our stay. Parthiban personally arranged the candle light dinner, ensured we try most of the delicious item on menu (candle light dinner was package so it’s good to see they not think about their saving but offer good experience for guest), he also clicked awesum photos and video which we will definitely cherish for rest of our life. Last but not least, Sagul who was taking care of house keeping. We decorated the room with balloons and when next day we returned from sightseeing then we got good and cute surprise from Sagul. In all, the attitude of staff to make good experience for guest stood out for us and definitely we would love to go there again hoping for more wonderful experience.
Nonetheless it was very relaxing and peaceful few days away from hectic and lock down life, a much needed break from monotonous life.

The 3 star review is on account of the poor visual impact of the property and didn't reflect the start which was otherwise comfortable. The property is showing its age Nf lack of maintenance and starting to look rundown. On entering the room, 1st thing you notice is the rug, which looks dirty and stained. Floor has been poorly repaired. The drawer holding the tea/coffee is broken and it falls down when you pull it open. Bathroom door and frame shows signs of water damage and neglect, the entire bathroom looks like it needs urgent attention. TV has 100's of South Indian channels, its a heroical effort to find hindi or English channels, a bit of settings and a small standee on thr desk could have told us the range of channels for Hindu and for English. Power sockets in the room were all loose and defective resulting in phones and laptops remaining uncharged after being plugged in entire night. The hotel main entrance is stained of pigeon poop from a nesting pigeon, no one bothered to relocate the family of birds so that the entrance facade could look clean. In a summary, the property is being run to the ground and the visual experience is not commensurate with the rate. I paid in excess of Rs 10,000 per night for it.
Now the good part. Entertainment facilities are good, the game room was well stocked and also had a good range of books and conics for kids. Tea and cookies serving out in the lawns is great, Food served to the room was good. Breakfast buffet spread is good and menu changes daily. Views are good and the location, well away from ooty city centre and close to dodabetta peak makes for a relaxing stay, away from the cacophony of vehicular horns. No facilities exist for drivers, which is bad. An unhappy driver who finds no bed and basic food at the end of the day makes for an unhappy drive the next day. Good hotels which are away from civilisation should make an efforts to provide facilities for the drivers as a CSR initiative.
Overall a good stay but I won't be returning to this property.

We stayed at the Highland Accord Ooty for several nights and it was very comfortable. We were happy to be away from the noise and fast pace of Ooty in this great mountain location.
And it wasn't expensive to get a taxi into town. We spent a day visiting the wonderful Botanical Gardens and one of the many chocolate shops. The hotel is also within walking distance of Doddabetta Junction where you can hire a driver to take you to the top of Doddabetta Peak. We enjoyed walking around looking for new bird species and finding Nilgiri Laughingthrush near the row of market booths.
Dining at the hotel was delicious and inexpensive. Service was great and the manager very friendly. I loved the fresh watermelon juice. The tables in the far section of the restaurant have great views of the mountains and tea plantations but are a bit chillier.
We only requested housekeeping on one day and they did a very extensive cleaning of the room, even mopping the floor. We also had laundry done one day and it was a bit expensive but much better than carrying extra clothes in our luggage. The front desk staff was very helpful with all of our questions and requests.
There was a nightly bonfire but we never had a chance to go down to it but it probably would have been fun. There were also common rooms with table games that would be nice for people with kids.
In addition to the regular hotel rooms like we had, there are also little condo units that can be rented that would be nice for a long-term family stay.

We stayed for 3nights and 4days. During our visit some development work was going on so had to keep an special eye on safety while kids are running and playing around.
Positive: Food was very nice. Even if you decide not to stay in this place, plz stop by for breakfast (one of the best) or lunch. You can plan the visit along with your plan while visiting Dodapetta. This place is on Dodapetta junction. Nice staffs, supportive and kind. I won't mind to visit again just for the staffs. I liked them. Nice location and good space Sirippu Siva Kumar and bonfire 😊 Tea stall Very Good place for 2 night stay.
Negative: Price was high compared to other places at same category, but maybe boz I booked much in advance and season time. For that price I also tried fernhill. While booking plz ensure what category of room are you booking. Just to avoid disappointments. Room quality was average. Club House, indoor games, not good at all, poorly maintained. No elevator/ lift service, parents with joint pain will have issues to go up. Nothing much to experience after 2nd night. Feedback: Interiors needs to be improved Facilities can be better Place needs renovation Room service Some different activities needs to be planned for people staying more than 2nights. I know It's hard but better to provide rooms for family and couples away from bachelor's or corporate bookings. I don't think we should limit their enjoyment or party time, as they also come to enjoy. From my experience while going for vacation with friends, neither we feel comfortable making noise or listen to music or dance with friends while staying with family and old people around our room. It's better to provide different floor or gap better experience for both categories.
