The 3 star review is on account of the poor visual impact of the property and didn't reflect the start which was otherwise comfortable. The property is showing its age Nf lack of maintenance and starting to look rundown. On entering the room, 1st thing you notice is the rug, which looks dirty and stained. Floor has been poorly repaired. The drawer holding the tea/coffee is broken and it falls down when you pull it open. Bathroom door and frame shows signs of water damage and neglect, the entire bathroom looks like it needs urgent attention. TV has 100's of South Indian channels, its a heroical effort to find hindi or English channels, a bit of settings and a small standee on thr desk could have told us the range of channels for Hindu and for English. Power sockets in the room were all loose and defective resulting in phones and laptops remaining uncharged after being plugged in entire night. The hotel main entrance is stained of pigeon poop from a nesting pigeon, no one bothered to relocate the family of birds so that the entrance facade could look clean. In a summary, the property is being run to the ground and the visual experience is not commensurate with the rate. I paid in excess of Rs 10,000 per night for it. Now the good part. Entertainment facilities are good, the game room was well stocked and also had a good range of books and conics for kids. Tea and cookies serving out in the lawns is great, Food served to the room was good. Breakfast buffet spread is good and menu changes daily. Views are good and the location, well away from ooty city centre and close to dodabetta peak makes for a relaxing stay, away from the cacophony of vehicular horns. No facilities exist for drivers, which is bad. An unhappy driver who finds no bed and basic food at the end of the day makes for an unhappy drive the next day. Good hotels which are away from civilisation should make an efforts to provide facilities for the drivers as a CSR initiative. Overall a good stay but I won't be returning to this property.…
We had a great time in Ooty during our stay at Accord Highland hotel. The hotel has very scenic views. We stayed for three nights and the whole experience was quite memorable. Sivakumar, The Event Manager had been a wonderful host and was involved in detailed planning for all activities be it Bonfire, Karaoke Night or spending time with Kids playing different games like chess/TT/carrom. Sivakumar is a thorough entertainer and is a versatile personality. He is good in sports and equally good at anchoring and taking initiatives while ensuring the guest are having quality time at the property. I would recommend to stay at Accord highland hotel if you are in Ooty. I will surely stay there if I am visiting Ooty again.
Great place to stay, clean rooms, wonderful house keeping and room service. The restaurant food tastes amazing, especially the chutneys. However, the ala carte service takes really long. Overall a great place for family or corporates.
We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and 2 days had an amazing experience loved the service , shagul from the housekeeping department was very helpful , he was continuously helping us when needed infact even called after checkout and gave things we left at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel .
We stayed at Accord Highland Hotel for 3N4D in June 2022. Stay was comfortable, service was excellent. Breakfast spread was delicious. Mr Parthiban from Restaurant was very friendly, helpful and cooperative. Mr Shivkumar who is the event manager is very jolly person and will keep you entertained by all his activities. Their evening snack time, karaoke nights, bonfire DJ will be missed a lot. We were little unhappy with the front desk staff and dinner spread. But Overall we had a great stay. Will definitely visit again.
We went for a family trip and stayed there for around 8 days.. Our experience was a mix of both good n bad one.. But the person who truly deserves applaud is Mr Sivakumar, event manager.. He kept us entertaining throughout and also helped us to ignore the negatives, if any. If we revisit Ooty in future, then it will be obviously for the beauty of Nilgiris, hot masala tea n of course for Mr Sivakumar.
Good Hotel, Nice Rooms with good Bathrooms, Located near Tea park and Dodabeta peak.. Views from hotel grounds and some of rooms are stunning, Breakfast spread is fair, get redundant considering you need to eat same stuff for 3 to 4 days .. Need to bring in some waffles and other stuff to provide variety, Hotel provides Variety of teas near playground area in evening time around 5:30 to 6:30 which is excellent considering climate conditions round the year, Outdoor and indoor Games options provides good opportunities to relax and engage, Overall good value for money. Ok
Excellent service from all the people Especially special thanks to manager suresh Kumar and mani for caring for the family thought out the entire trip and they even give additional care for kids . Great people
Visited with family in May 2022. Had a great experience over there. Accord highland villas are amazing and we enjoyed every moment in our villa. Pros Highland villas are very beautiful and nicely maintained Hotel location is good and quite scenic Cons They need to uplift the lobby & restaurant area to match the class of their villas. Bit expensive Will highly recommend to stay here in highland villas.
Excellent stay. Environment was clean and nice. Staff were very polite and friendly. We had one small issue with TV and the complaint was immediately attended and rectified. Mr. Partiban in dining and Mr. Sivakumar who conducted various events, made our stay even more pleasant. The ambience, evening chai, outdoor and indoor games were all really good. Food was really awesome and we enjoyed all the dishes. Our little one also enjoyed the stay very much. I would really recommend this hotel for others.
