Very friendly host and the staff is very empathetic they will look after you just like you are one of them, booked 2 rooms for 3 days and 2 nights the cost was very economical, rooms were tidy and clean, only problem you might face is with hot water. The water pressure is very less probably will have to wait for some time to get the buckets filled

Decent property with good owner n staff but needs lot of maintenance n should keep some basic food options ….. location is a big plus as in middle of town thus in the range of some very good restaurants …. Stayed for one night in May 2022 with family

We booked for 3 days and it costed 2500/day. They dont give any facilities for the amount charged . No kettle in room to drink hot water Waterflow is slow in bathroom , we have to wait for the bucket to fill up.Geyser also not in good condition. Breakfast is bland and tasteless. Just 1 item in breakfast. Mattress was also not in good condition, the springs were poking us. Overall not worth staying here.

Marlborough house.. welcome to the colonial home stay in ooty which reminds u the British architecture.. located in the heart of the city yet away from the hustle and ever increasing tourist crowds and traffic noise.. what u see here isn’t what u get cos the feeling when u stay here is special.. amidst the cool breeze hitting you while basking in the lawn you feel relaxed and experience tranquility and serenity.. it houses different categories of rooms suited for individual travelers to king size families all clean and well maintained.. yes you may have to bear up with the slow speed of water in the tap and occasional water shortage but these are just very minor hindrances in what promises to be the best holiday experience u can have.. the caretakers do their best to see guests have a relaxed time and traditional South Indian dishes are whipped up in the pantry which caters to amazing local delicacies.. in all it’s a place to stay in ooty at an affordable tariff.. pls do ask for the night bonfire and barbecue set up.. it’s one experience which lingers in ur mind even after u reach home.. Marlborough house.. I left u behind but not for long.. cheers…

Great British era home with awesome staff . Jyothi makes awesome breakfast and her idly are must try. It has a well maintained lawn with the option of using a external fireplace. They charge 2000 extra for it, which I found ridiculous. They also charge 500 per heater which again was way too expensive. Restaurants deliver food here, no walkable stores or liquor shops close buy

Thanks for yr review . We buy firewood from depots for 1200 and pay for transport and hv an attendant. Power is commercial rates..which increase as slabs go up....like ac rooms cost more than ordinary rooms in cities heaters are charged extra...location is 2 kms from city centre Charring Cross and Botanical gardens...appreciate your other positive comments .

Its a nice British bungalow and the rooms are good. Staffs are good. Dont expect variety of food for brekfast and better you arrange food for your dinner. But definitely expect an excellent ambience of stay.

One of my friend suggested this place.... what a beautiful and comfortable stay it was... The caretaker Jyothi was a lovely woman and very helpful person.... The property is very near to all places in Ooty.... Its a old British style cottage with all facilities like parking, breakfast, accessible to shops and restaurant........Highly recommend to travellers who are looking to relax and go with family in a picturesque environment. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean..... Hats off to the entire team maintaining the property.....

I have booked this place after reading various reviews and we were happy with our choice. Its a old colonial style British building with a good private garden. The location & view is good. Very close to Botanical gardens, but little distance from the main Charring Cross. You will find difficult if you are not commuting by own vehicle. Rooms are spacious, but need better maintenance & cleanliness, especially the toiletries are missing in the bathrooms - also water flow in taps is quite slow that tests your patience. Care taker Jyothi, makes our day comfortable and takes personal care of guests. Breakfast is limited but delicious. Recommends for short stay for families.
