1. The water in the Bathroom shower was stinking when turned on and gradually became ok during both days of my stay
2. The Tea Bags Sachets from the brand Tea-A-Me in the rooms are very very difficult to open. I had to use a fork to rip it open
3. I had asked for watermelon juice which came without ice and sugar by default. I actually wanted it the other way which should have been checked by the staff
4. Reward Membership number was not added to booking despite informing multiple times and I need to now file a missing stay request
Otherwise, the rooms are great, breakfast options are awesome and the area is very open and well spread out. Very good location and decor of the hotel since its pretty new. This was my 2nd stay here.

Hi all, Here I would like to share my pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott, Madurai. I stayed with my mother from almost 4 days. First of all, the reception team and bell task team are very welcoming and always carries smile on their faces. Thank you for the warm welcome. Secondly, they have massive room with all necessary amenities. Thank you maintenance people for maintaining the equipment well. Thank you to the housekeeping team for taking care of our needs constantly.
Likewise, the restaurant provides very delicious and wide rang of dishes, which has combination of both Indian food and western food. Everyday, all restaurant staffs, manager and chefs offer food as if we are their own house guests. I felt the hospitality at its peak. Thank you Raja, Moorthy, Akash, Gowtham, Rahul, Sandhya, Riya for extraordinary restaurant service. Thank you Chef Raghavan and Chef Ravi, Chef Praveen and executive chef Somu for preparing mouth-watering foods. Thank you Chef Raghavan for complimentary evening Tea and Snacks and Chef Ravi for preparing Punjabi Chicken specially for us!
I appreciate all managers and staffs’ effort in fixing the complaints and rectifying the mistakes and for maintaining high standard of hygienic environment during this Covid period.
All staff members of the reception, restaurant, housekeeping, security and managers are well dressed, smiling, polite, kind and patient. So many times they have brightened up my day. They all are working form their heart. Some of them have impressed me in a positive way as well. There are so many times when I have seen how they are been humiliated by other guests, but still, they got over it and provided kind and lovely service to other guests. It’s really upsetting how they don’t get the appreciation that they deserve. Being a customer, if you request them for something, they will try their best to filfull your necessity. It’s clear that their motive is purely customer satisfaction. I am glad that I chose this hotel and I am sure that I will choose this hotel again and again for their extraordinary customer service and ambiance. And of course, it’s worth for money.
I would like to thank and appreciate the GM Mr. Menon, and all other managers and supervisors for preparing and training this fantastic and hard working team! Just continue the same!!

I was coordinating for booking a room at this hotel and Mr. Raghu, Front Office Manager was very cordial and approachable with my requirements and did all the requisites. Entire family was warmly welcomed upon check- in and escorted to an upgraded room (considering the size of our family heads) and Covid protocols were adhered. Being proactive, entire team members did their part, say it Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage associates and Chefs for making our stay a memorable one. We are a couple living in Kodaikanal, we had some errands to finish in Madurai , so we needed to stay the night. We chose Courtyard Mariott based on a friends recommendation.
It was a phenomenal experience. The food was just outstanding The kothu paratha The mutton biryani which is their speciality The hummus and pita bread The breakfast spread was lovely With eggs live counter, dosa live counter, fruits and freshly made filter coffee and cutting chai.
The G.M Mr J.P Menon, went out of the way, to make our stay memorable. He organised a special biryani meal for us served in a Tiffin. Excellent ! They could put a local mess to shame ..
The staff was outstanding Right from the executive chef, the su chefs ; they cared about your every little need.
We wanted an egg dosa and as the counter normal doesn’t mix. Egg and veg dosa he made scrambled eggs Indian style and rolled it in a dosa to ensure we got our egg dosa!!
They were just awesome the servers Akash, Moorthy, the restaurant manager Naveen , the receptionist Fazeel ( not sure of the name but very sweet) and Radha Krishnan too..
The staff and their hospitality left us with a feel of so much care and kindness…
The amenities; right from Contact less lift buttons, you just have to scan your key card it will take you to the floor. the room key card on your phone, the curtains being automated. Very new property and very well maintained.
The water bottles that give in the room are also glass. I truly appreciate hotels which care about the environment and avoid plastic.
Very very comfortable stay and we will back for sure.

Stayed in Mariott with my in-law for 2 days. Their care and attention towards old age people is highly appreciated. Requests were immediately addressed by room services, reception services and the dine in services. They know the value for the voice of customer very well.. Spent a couple of nights in this hotel and found in really good on the whole. Hotel is not near any of the key tourist sites so you will need transport to see the. Hotel sits in small private grounds. The reception area is bright and airy and the check in was good and friendly. We stayed in room 7118 - it was a modern room with all of the facilities you would expect. The twin beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows! The toilet/ shower area was separate from the bedroom but 2 sets of sliding doors. Only real gripe was the “rain” shower leaked/ sprayed water everywhere! Dinner/ breakfast in the main restaurant was very good indeed with a great variety of quality food. The bar - The Balcony was OK but they tended to play the music too loudly! The wine selection, I must admit was really good for Indian wines!

This was a brilliant new hotel - faultless in every respect, except for the size of the swimming pool, which was quite small.
Room 5108 was spacious, with an extremely comfortable king bed, wonderful pillows and quality linen.
There was a desk and chair, very fast wifi, a lounge chair, large TV, minibar, safe, and tea and coffee facilities.
The bathroom had a shower cubicle, a toilet cubicle, vanity and basin space, wardrobe space and excellent towels.
The restaurant was fabulous - really delicious food with amazing choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Highly recommended!

Stayed 2 nights in February 2020. Typical of a large hotel chain... room is fine; beds are comfy; we visited the balcony bar .. basically NOT on a balcony, no windows, and smelt stuffy.. so we went back to room. Room service is excellent. Pool is lovely, pool attendant very helpful, bit chilly in the water though! Easy walk to local shops, once you brave crossing the roads. Executive chef is very accommodating & personable; staff very attentive especially Aakash & Rodrigul. Aakash in particular will go far in the restaurant industry - very personal, efficient, attentive and has flair (and is willing to talk to guests!).

We had 5 rooms booked here from 29/2 to 31/12. On arrival the check in was very prompt and they had the rooms ready for us on time .Having stayed in many marriot hotels in India , I must say there can be some vast improvements in the one in Madurai. Rooms: the suites are large and bed was comfortable .the suites were not very clean on arrival. There was dust and hair on the floor. The deluxe rooms were also quite spacious . The carpets and furnitures in the walkway are quite dated and not clean for a hotel which is less than 2 years old Dining: Madurai kitchen was infested with flies. There was a variety of food choices but as the food was left open the flies were everywhere.we did give a feed back to the restaurnt manager. Service is something which is top notch in marriot hotels but the workers in the restaurants were so grumpy to serve and we could not see the service with a smile here. Lobby: the seating in the lobby area is limited but the place was really dirty with used utensils on the tables and the chairs were also very dirty. Management should look into the cleanliness of the place . We saw this was the same on all 3 days of the stay.lobby area was also very warm during the day. The service by the reception was very friendly and prompt . They did go out of their way to provide our rooms together . Hygiene and cleanliness should not be compromised and that’s something this hotel seriously need to improve on .
