Excellent and pleasant stay. Kind, polite and energetic staffs working. Breakfast was South Indian and it was homely. Housekeeping & Roomservice was good enough. They do have own travel desk and it was easy for us to take vehicles on our own customised tour package.
Though the hotel is good, room is very good and very conveniently located, but, it's front desk staff is very greedy and non co-operative. They don't have their own restaurant, which is the main drawback of this hotel.
We had an woeful experience in staying in Hotel Lotus in Madurai. The location of the hotel is on a dirty crowded street. The rooms are small with no windows, no proper hot water. There is no Resturanr on premise, so we were compelled to go out. The room was very noisy at night and hallway light was keeping the room lighted throughout the night. We could not get a restful sleep. I will not recommend this hotel.
Stay for one night and day during post Shanskranti weekend. Nice to stay for short trip, very close to Meenakshi Temple. Offered complimentary breakfast to nearby Meekshiamma hotel where the quantity and variety of Breakfast was heavy. Had two meals there only, good restaurant and AC dining also available. Hotel Lotus staff are good but a bit slow. Accommodation and room cleanliness was good.
I stayed with my family in this hotel. Location is near the Meenakshi Temple. Except this advantage, the hotel is not worth the money paid. There is no storage facility in the room (not even a normal shelf), except that they provide 2 dress hangers. The staff is rude. Parking is a problem. Their parking space is not a convenient one. Seems some renovation is underway. So they ask us to go to another restaurant nearby for having the complementary breakfast. The bedding was dirty and they did not change inspite of complaining about it. You would get better hotels for the money. I would not recommend this hotel for families.
This hotel is located near Minakshi amman temple and Madurai railway station is 1 km distance.Hotel staff behavior is good.Complimentary breakfast at nearby Anna Minakshi restaurant is very nice.The hotel provide 24 hour check out.We came from Rameswaram and checked in at 6 pm and our train was at 7.30pm next day,so the 24 hour check out was very helpful for us and we checked out at 6 pm.
We were lucky this time after having a string of bad experiences with hotel and home stays during our road trip. Booked two days in advance of our stay, we arrived around 5 PM in the evening at the hotel. The staff were courteous and warm. The room quality was average but with clean linen. The rooms were prepared beforehand. The bathroom was a bit smelly but clean. We did not have any food from the hotel, only additional water bottles which were at the market price. Service was decent. Parking is available in the basement though through a different route. Our aim was to be close to the Meenakshi Amman Temple and that was achieved. The West Gate is just about 10 minutes walk or an auto rickshaw ride for ₹50-70/-. The staff is also helpful in guiding you around. The locally famous icecream Sundae “Jigarthanda” should be tried from the shop just across the hotel. An average hotel with good service.…
i stayed with family in Nov 19.i booked standard double room and when i arrive room was ready when i entered room. room was too small cannot walk around.i told him i cannot stay with my child in that room.F/D one of staff saying you are booked standard double room.i told him i need any other room.then they took another room that is good room lot of space in room F/D told me you need pay extra for the room.then he is argue with some one in phone at last he said i will give another standard double room no need to pay extra then we went room. room is good lot of space there room is clean and bath room also..bad approach from front desk for the room.if u have a good room why don't you give first.over all stay is good.
One of the worst hotels I have ever checked in as far as food is concerned. I went with a group of 20 pax and the food provided to us was below par. Rooms were OK. Ambiance of hotel was good. But, never opt to take your food inside the hotel. I'm sure if you order your food here, your whole travel experience will go wayward. Hope, the hotel authorities will take care of it.
Booked this hotel for my 17 guest in August 2019 with advance of 50% payment & final payment hotel agreed to collect 7 days prior check in date of 28 October. On 21 October paid them the final amount of booking & on same evening due to sudden death of 1 person out of 17 person Who were supposed to travel, i inform them to cancel the booking & if they want keep 50 % advance & refund remaining 50% we paid on same day, but hotel behaved very badly & first they didn't replied for 4 to 5 days then they replied that they will not refund any amount. Also the worst part hotel has another division of Lotus travels booked with them 21 seater coach for which paid them 26000 inr approx they didn't refund any single penny from same too. So both hotel & bus booking they didn't refunded any single penny & enjoyed entire money also on case of death, total money of approx 41000 inr. I suggest them to keep 50% of amount & refund rest to client but they enjoyed entire money. Also nobody of management called or answered the repeated call from my side. So no courtesy & humanity left with them.…
